I understand that the question might provoke a bit of negative response as it could be PERCEIVED as a lack of appreciation towards ALL those cooking ROMS. Im sure no offense is meant by the qursetion though. As a not so hard rule, the ROMS most recent are usually based on the most recent kernels (which have improvements and latest tweaks and latest apps, but not necessarily are the best). So I suggest you try a few different ones, but maybe starting from the latest.
May I take the opportunity to thank all cookers who have contributed one way or another to us today having roms that are fantastic.

you have to try them that is the only way to see which is the BEST for YOU. I currently have six different builds most from mdeejay so like i said try them and find out everyone is different i have energy rom tmob usa mdeejay froyo nextsense 2.4.2

first i just wanted to say its not called droid...its android. droid is nothing more than a brand name that verizon uses for MOST of their android handsets. they pay george lucas extra money just to use the DROID name

Make sure you have a recent Radio (the 2.15.50.14 works fine with Android and WM).

if you don't like this tread then why are you reading it? if it's posted in the wrong category, then surely a mod will move it. in the mean time, try to carry on in your self-inflicted misery individually, instead of dragging everyone else into your negativity.

If you know how to do it for your co-worker, I'm assuming you have experience, so wouldn't you know which build is stable by now?
Look at my signature. That's the most stable combo for me, works flawlessly as a daily build.

Hey guys, I came here from having an evo and it seems like nobody is really supporting development on this phone. I am kind of surprised as many of these handsets that are out there. What's your take on it? Think the nexus s with mediocre hardware is where everyone is holding out?

I think it's too early to say that. The best is yet to come. We will be getting some ROM's soon. There was a MIUI rom that came out this morning

Seriously? Did you even look at the "development" section for this phone? It's not even been on the market for 45 days and we have root, true unlock (no need to call TMO for code), over clock/ under volt kernel and atleast 3 ROMs including eVil porting MIUI to us today. Hell after the Behold2 and the MT3G-S (which I still have and love) I have been astonished with what we have already.
Edit: forgot to mention the guys who have been busting their asses putting out mods and themes for us

Whoa calm down bro. All I'm saying is it seems slow catching on. The evo was rooted prior to release and had a TON of roms in the first couple weeks. Nobody is bad mouthing the genius developers who are working on them now, it just seems like the number of devs is much smaller...

I also came from the evo so i understand where your coming from, reason why evo got so many developers was because it was first 4G phone period. Since then ALOT of really good phones have been released and developers have migrated every which way.

I came from the evo to the mt4g. To be fair, the evo was like the perfect storm. The last quality sprint android phone was the hero, and all the hero devs were dying for a new device. If the vibrant had never come out, the mt4g would have been flooded with support out of the gate.

The SXL kernel was released months ago and is as useful to us as a one V kernel - which is not very much!
And before you say "oh, but the HW is the same. Why don't you guys give kernel 3.0 to me. Aargh! " why don't YOU try to port it, if you get it working ill take this all back

Because I haven't mad a highly successful rom like lord DOES NOT mean I have no idea what in talking about. I have made a few working roms. Only 2 I have shared with xda. They weren't huge but people used them and actually appreciated it.(almost) No one appreciates anything in this section anymore. Its always what YOU want...you just throw reality out the window and demand something without thinking about the work needed. I can be as clueless as as a squirrel and just read one thread about ics or jellybean to find the answer I just gave you.

ICS Sense ROMS Camera

Hi folks. I was going to flash ICS on my friend's DHD but how strange that no ROM supports camera. AOSP roms do have a working Camera. Is there any work around for this?

I looked through xda for quite sometime. IT WASNT MY DHD and my friend had to leave. I'd to sort it out quickly. But the retards like you just make people feel bad.

Ok, I guess that attacking one each other is not solution. We are here to share knowledge and our flash addiction. There´s no need to answer like that. You are senior member and you know the rules. You could have done it a bit different. ICS Camera issue have been debated many times. ICS AOSP roms have working cameras but not video recording...that is stated in the corresponding threads. The solution should be able as soon as HTC releases the 3.0 Kernel or the first ICS Sense update is rolled out. That is also in the forums, there´s also a specific thread for it. So, don´t get that angry and show that u are different in your manners if you feel offended by someone...if not you just show that are the same....

It is on the main forum that says android 4.0 coming July- August, It is beyond annoying when this is all you see when CLEARLY in all sense 4.0 threads are saying they are waiting for kernel 3.0
I feel bad for the devs they must facepalm at all these people who can't read/search

Hey does ICS camera work? Nexus has ICS so we should be able to port it.
