I've noticed in some games my touch screen in the lower bottom corners gets a little twitchy. So I downloaded a couple of touch screen apps to see if my N7 was acting up ... sure enough -it was. Notice in the video when I touch the lower corners .. one touch will cancel out the other. Thus making it impossible to play games whith dual stick or dual button functions .
Have any of you tried testing your device ? Does it act like this ?
Video is poor but you can still see what I'm talking about . Notice how one touch sometimes registers as 2 or 3 ....

Sorry , fixed !
Just got done with a Google rep from their RMA service ... It seems on the first batch of units, quite a few of them, infact had bad digitizers. Google is sending me a replacement for my N7 with no questions asked . Until then, I can keep my defected one and send it back when the new one arrives. I'm a happy camper with Google's RMA service ... :}

Hey all First post, w00t.
New to the PDA type phone thing and learning what i can from here. Dont quite understand WM5 yet but i'll get it eventually.
nice fourm you all have here
A few post have hit the nail on the head with issues with the phone.
No hinge LED's when the phone rings is my main hate at the mo i think.
Also anyone know how to get media player to play videos in full screen? all it does is puts a black border round the video rather than streching it. This would be cool
Whats the differance between the o2 (or different) and corporate install type?
Also TomTom M5.2 is coming up all green lines, had a quick search and cant find a fix. Anyone?
Thought i'd drop on and say i've had a problem with my screen (gotta love us being beta testers ehh?) Only got the phone at chrimbo and woke up the other morning to find that the screen wouldnt tap. It seems that the screen is now tapping itself randomly, closing applications and not letting me use the touch screen at all. You cant reallign the screen.
Seems a few people have had this problem and it seems un-fixable, soft, hard resets and reinstalling the ROM doesnt work. pulling the battery out and leaving it for a short while seems to cure the problem for a short while.
If you're having this problem, call the retailer and have it replaced. Defo seems to be a hardware issue, maybe a bad batch?
I'm waiting on them getting a new one in store for me.
HTH
JAmes
The screen issue does seem similar to the problem I was having.
Was on and off, but totally stopped responding early Sunday morning. Didn't start working again after numerous resets. Took it to the O2 shop today and it decided to start working again...
But they believed me, gave me a replacement and I've had zero problems with this one.
Seems like there may be some faulty ones about. Get it changed and hope they don't give you another faulty one
Recently upgraded from a Captivate. Picked up an Atrix for $240 ish off Kijiji, and after trying out in the car for a quick phone call seemed fine.
Until i got home, and realized that the screen is done.
No box just the phone and cable so not sure if i can send it in for warranty. Thus i figured i can either sell the phone for a loss and grab a much crappier phone. OR i can repair it and just use it.
So there's a certain panel at the bottom that doesn't seem to be too reactive, and doesn't register touch from time to time, as well as towards the top corners of the screen any pressure would result in random touches being registered towards the bottom of the screen - seen using touchtest app off the market today to pinpoint my touch problems.
Video illustrates my problems - sorry about quality - video taken using a piece of .... blackberry.
I figure the digitizer is seated wrong wondering if a seating is needed or a whole new one? Or if it's a different problem all together.
I figured it's more viable i just repair it, as the phone is quite fast if it weren't for the stupid screen I'd love it (also lack of case and screen protector is annoying - but I already ordered them!) .
Any advice would be great!
Got a Nexus 7, 8GB, SSN starts with C60.
I can clearly tell that when I push down on the left side of the screen, there's a little bit of give. Sometimes I can wait and hear the sticky tape let go also. ...So I have the screen separation problem, right?
Also, sometimes when I'm using it and it starts to warm up, the screen becomes less responsive. VERY frustrating in NOVA3 when I can't even keep moving straight forward because the screen stops thinking that I'm touching it. ...So I have the overheating digitizer issue too, right?
I contacted Google and they sent me out a replacement (this SSN also starts with C60). Everything about the order said "new", but I swear the box has been re-taped. Is this a "new" device? Also, lo and behold, the screen issue is exactly the same on the replacement!! I looked online and found a YouTube video that shows separation that the owner calls "slight" and it is WAY worse than mine. I'm just a perfectionist and I thought Google and Asus would have been too.
I haven't even turned the thing on but I'm wondering if I keep my first one or keep the second one...
1. Is the replacement truly new?
2. Which SSNs are supposed to have had the separation issue resolved?
3. Is my screen separation completely normal?
4. Are my digitizer problems completely normal also?
Thanx in advance. I only have a couple weeks to return one of them....
Well it doesn't seem like anybody cares so far but after rooting and configuring the new one I've decided to keep it. It doesn't seem to get slower when playing games and the screen has remained responsive the whole time.
Thanx for your help everybody!
Hello folks,
i have a very strange thing with the display of the new S7 edge from my girlfriend. And after reading arround 4 hours in the forum, i´ve decided to open a thread and asking for help.
I will try to explain what happend. The phone ist brand new and arrived today. After unboxing we running the first start process and during this i realized that the display had a "dead zone". In this zone it is nearly impossible to type or click someting. The rest of the screen works as intened.
After the start process the Nougat update runs and the issue is still there. While scrolling it looks like a lag, but there is no lag only these wired deadzone.
Can someone give a hint what this can be or is this a hardware issue?
I have 2 vids from the issue, but im not allowed yet to posted it here.
Thanks in advance so far.
You have dead pixels, which is not uncommon.
It is a screen issue which can be repaired by replacing the screen under warranty.
You just need to take it back to where you got an show the problem, they will either repair or replace.
I think he was refering to dead zone on digitizer. It doesn't register touch on some areas.
Type *#0*# in dialer and u will be prompted with test app, U have the display option there. Tap on it and U will figure out the rest. If it doesn't draw on that area of the screen, the digitizer isn't working and take the phone to samsung if it's under warranty.
I have this beautiful and powerful phone LeEco Pro 3 that i`ve been using for half an year or so with AOSIP ROM. Its a wonderful phone with an amazing performance.
The thing is my display started a problem history that has become a long history i will try to resume in a few words.
It started in one day i pressed the power button in order to light the display on and check something in an APP i needed. I found out that before the display lighted on some weird colors and artifacts appeared on screen. But indeed the display worked fine.I thought it was just a temporary thing and just kept using it until In the second day that the weird colors and artifacts became permanent, so i realized i was in trouble. :crying:
Tried sending the phone to technical assistance.
The first one - Told me that they could get a new display for testing but indeed the results were the same and they were seeing oxidation in the display connector on the board, not the display flex cable but the main board connection. They said they would not go further into it and they decided to give the phone back to me. Weird thing is that when i turned the phone one it worked for one day without issues. He said the phone was in the same condition, but that is not what i saw. The problem indeed happened again one day later , but it was less worse as i could at least see the screen, but almost half the screen was horribly shaking, trembling.
The second one - Once the tech guy looked the phone he said he didnt see any sign of the phone getting opened. He said he would be seeing signs of glues or anything like that but in his opinion it was definitely not opened. But he warned me the display could physically brake once he opens it as the phone got contact with oxidation in the toilet(I used to left it in the toiled while i take bath). So i was afraid and decided to back off.
The third one - Said he could not find any display so he sent the phone back to me. Didnt open it at all as he was trying to wait for the new display to arrive in order to be safe. They said they are 90% sure its display replacement would do the job. The thing is - if i used in hot environments the issues seems to slowly disappear . If i use it in cold environments the problems seems to get worse
So here i am. I CAN buy another screen over the internet. But i am afraid if it will work or not. Have anyone there faced same issue? What do you recommend me to do? What would you do
Thanks in advance

There are many many post on this subject, recently in fact. That has links. In fact, you can find them on Alibaba that are all black and made specifically for the Le Pro 3. Here is a link of a guy who used the cool s1 display
Yes it sounds like the display or the flex cables.
Link 1
Here you go cheap and they have the black one
