Just curious if the 7 gets the $10 wallet credit other devices get as well.
The N7 gets $25 in credit upon activation.
Yes. I got it although it took a while to activate the prepaid card through Google. Eventually it worked though.

But that's only if you never had a Google wallet account previously ..

Actually...I signed into google wallet on my N7 (with the same Google credentials) and have a balance of $10 whereas my gnex has the balance from the 50 that I added of 32.XX. It appears to be two independent google wallet prepaid cards.

It's device specific, your Google account is only there for account protection. I have gotten the $10 credit on a Nexus S, VZW GNex, and a GSM Gnex

Yeah, that's kind of what I noticed too. Already had Wallet on my GS3 and the $10 prepaid card on that. Activated Wallet on my Nexus 7 just now and it appears to have it's own $10 prepaid card too. One odd thing did happen to me though: activating Wallet on my Nexus 7 appears to have deactivated my Citi card from my Wallet account on my GS3. Anyone else with similar experience?
i just have a quick question does the google wallet work even if you are not connected to wifi?
Yeah it does! Or it wouldn't be very useful would it

The google wallet app... it should be in your app drawer. When I launched it, it told me I could get the credit by signing up.

I haven't got it either.
Huh, I had it in the US version. Maybe try to download it from the Play Store?

When you activate google wallet, you get $10, can you use that $10 for apps?
i think that 10.00 credit goes into your back card you activated. Its not that you activate the google wallet. i think you get the credit for using the nfc for the first time at a brick and mortar retailer.
I COULD Be wrong . i have had google wallet since the switched my google merchant to it years of using google pay customer here as well as i have a pay pal debit/ credit card . never use your real cards online or even paying for a meal out to dinner .

i have the same question, or even if we can use it to buy anything online would be cool, i don't think i want to go to a 7 eleven with my huge tablet and pay with it!
I think I heard it's for NFC purchases only.
So, go to a Starbucks nearby and get yourself something.
How would that work. The nexus 7 is a WIFI only device, to use the Wallet app you need an internet connection.

That is correct. Tested wallet in two separate locations yesterday without being connected to WiFi. I freaked out a few cashiers. Lol

I can't add a new google prepay card... it's taken like 5 minutes of sitting doing nothing.
And mods: Can you please verify my account... I've been on for a long time, and this 5 minute restriction is really annoying...
Did anyone else have an eager household member load their google account on to your new N7 before you could? I did, and now the $25 credit is in their account. Anyone know how to change? It's damn near impossible to reach Google Play on the phone today.
its not possible sorry
May I ask how you know this?

Factory Reset your Nexus 7.
When it boots up and starts the wizard, log in using YOUR gmail.
You will receive the $25 credit.
Do this now before they close the loop hole.
You're welcome, now go tell whoever "beat you to it" to don't touch your ****.
If I sign in with a different gmail account on a new nexus 7, will it give that account the $25 too. But then I want to put back on my other gmail. Will that be a problem, or will I get another $25 credit?

I just set up my replacement tablet. I did not receive an additional credit. However, you can still get the $10 Google Wallet App credit.

Yes, if your initial sign in is under a different account than you used before you will get another $25.

You can't move credit from 1 account to another. Also you can't get an additional $25 credit on the same account. You would need to use a different account.

Did you login in your replacement device with the same account as in your previous device or a different account ??
Yes I returned my N7 as the speaker was distorted and got a replacement, I setup using my wife's gmail and got another £15 credit. I don't think you can get two credit from the same account.
I activated Google Wallet but theres no $10 prepaid card, is that still available?

That was taking away last month. Google sent emails to everyone that had activated their Google wallet warning them.

I live in an ISIS test market so there are lots of retailers advertising electronic payments via ISIS. Is it safe to assume I can use Wallet for payment at these locations?
The Isis SIM that T-Mobile has been distributing is disabling Wallet from working.

OP didn't ask that. OP asked if Google Wallet is accepted anywhere ISIS is accepted.
In other words, if a merchant accepts ISIS... will it accept Google Wallet?
On wiki,
The service works with the 300,000 plus MasterCard PayPass merchant locations,[4] with Visa licensing their Visa payWave system to Google for use in Wallet as of September 20, 2011.[5]

So as long as it accepts PayPass, payWave, Google Wallet should be accepted.
To answer your question : Yes
