Has anybody tested this app on the N7? I was wondering how well the palm rejection worked.

How is the use of pocket Excel with touch only LEO?
With regular touch screen I use the old "Keyboard" and a stylus and it works ok. With new touch-only keyboard I found EXTREMELY difficult to use pocket Excel.
How is it with the new Leo?
i think you need to try an apple iphone's stylus with hd2
Hello,
Can someone confirm that Iphone stylus also works with HD2?
Yes, there are several different iphone/capacitive stylii on ebay, they should all work - but how well they'll work, there's only one way to find out...
I didn't have a problem in Excel. The Pinch to Zoom works, so I just zoomed in if needed. The only annoying thing is that I can't seem to get landscape to work in any of the mobile office programs.
Anybody using Pleco on the HD Mini?
How does it work with the capacitive screen?
Can you manage to finger write characters into the small box?
Can you operate the QWERTY keyboard without too many errors?
I now have a Diamond and Pleco works very well with a pen. But no way you could use finger, just wonder if HD Mini can be operated at all before I buy one (or not, then I go for Touch 2).
Hi - has anyone found a decent notes taking tool that uses a stylus for handwritten notes ?
using my Ipad with a simple Pogo i can get really useful results but i havent found any App for the Acer yet that seems to be of any use.
Nope, neither diopen not flex speak.tap.write.trace work for me.
I haven't found ANY keyboard app that does handwriting, let alone properly!.
I only know Handrite, don't know if it is what you are looking for
FlexT9 keyboard has a handwriting feature that works ok. It would probably work alot better with a stylus, but I've only ever tried it with my finger.
thanks all, tried i think pretty much all apps that accept finger (stylus) writing but not a single one of them gives any kind of legible notes. Shame as even the freebies on the Ipad are pretty good, and i REALLY want to use my Acer more for meetings and this is an absolute necessity to be able to to that -
Freenote is the best app I've found in the market for handwriting notes. I tried Pensupremacy and tabnotes before this. Bought both of them actually and freenote beats them both in my opinion. I use it for all my meetings now and dont have to carry a notebook, you can write and draw on the same page. embed pictures and stuff as well.
Has anyone tried Onlive app from market place yet on the Streak?
I was able to download the app and started a trial game but not sure how to use it without a keyboard. Any ideas.
Cheers,
David.

There are only so many supported touch screen games...
Look for the finger (next to the pad or keyboard),
This means it has touch controls.
They are bringing out a bluetooth controller for it which will work with all games (due before christmas)
Thanks for that. Will a normal bluetooth keyboard work?
Not sure m8.
MSFT was annotating PDFs in their Reader app during the presentation of the Surface PRO. I tried it on my Surface RT, but couldn't find a way.
Did they use some unreleased preview version or has anyone found a way to annotate PDFs ? I couldn't find any other Readers in the Store either.

I don't know about Annotating PDFs in Microsoft Reader but Adobe reader is available in the Store, & I imagine that you should be able to get Adobe website Reader from the Adobe website as well.

The store just links to the Desktop app which I cant install on Win RT. Normal notes work just fine (doubleclick to select text), but I cant get touch input (capacitive stylus) to work.
Windows can't tell the difference between a finger and a capacitive stylus; you need a digitizer stylus for it to be recognized as pen input. I think the annotations thing may only be for pen input, sadly. It works great on my (old) digitizer-but-non-touchscreen tablet (which I upgraded to Win8) but like you, I couldn't make it work on my Surface RT.

Yeah to a touchscreen a stylus is just a finger, but if you have a Wacom digitizer on the screen with a pen (like thinkpad x tablets or the galaxy note series, Samsung x86 slates) then there is very precise, pressure sensitive input that is read differently by the computer.
