i'm looking to confirm others experience this problem.
since EI roms i have experienced issues when a 3rd party calls
aka...someone calls you during a call...
the screen seems to acknowledge the 3rd party call, however it doesn't respond to touch
so you cant answer the call
every now and again it works...but most of the time, you cant answer the call
the current conversation continues without issue, you can communicate
but no buttons work, you cant achieve 'home' or 'back' or 'menu' or anything
i'm not 100% sure if bluetooth buttons work or not either
the phone is basically frozen until the 3rd party hangs up
then it goes back to the normal dialer, you get a 'missed call' notification and everything works again.
anyone?

whenever i click the recieve calls on my universal, i'll click the answer button.. and realize that it takes a lil longer for it to actually connect the call..
anyone here have the same problem here? any solutions??
tend to find it depends on:
1. THe phone skin you are using
2. Ring tone specific to each user
3. Caller id picture displays
4. Large ring tones
5. Other apps running simultaneously
6. How long since your last rom update
I think you will find that everydody experiences a 1 second to 2 second maximum delay
I am havin d same prob
Disable the skin on the dailer, and use a windows default ringtone. And a lot of free memory is always a plus
how to disable the dialer skin?
I believe it can be done here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Phone/Skin
Then look for the DWORD "enabled" set it to 0
I am not sure about this though!!! You have to check google (like I did, and found this: http://www.buzzdev.net/index.php?option=com_simpleboard&Itemid=59&func=view&id=5075&catid=36
I have the same when I get a call, but I can live with that. My problem lately has been that when I get an incoming call my entire device freezes. I can press whichever button I like, but nothing works except a soft reset and then I would have missed the call. Has anyone else had this too? I hope it doesn't happen too often or else I send it off for repair (I pay insurance for a reason).

jup, mine sometimes starts vibrating and just doesn't stop.
Soft reset is the only way to get my phone working again

I have the same problem. When the MDA is open, everything works fine. But when the lid is closed, the mda freezes after an incoming call and softreset is the only solution. Any ideas about that?
I've got a Universal with all the default ROMs and whatnot. I also use SPB PocketPlus and vBar.
Recently, since I got a bluetooth earpiece (Motorola HS820) - though not when the earpiece is turned on/connected - my phone has started rejecting calls when I try and answer.
I normally have my phone closed (screen not showing). Since some bug stopped me from being able to talk on it whilst it is closed, I have been opening it so the screen shows (and the keyboard doesn't) before I press answer. However, now this rejecting problem has arisen. I get a call, I open my phone so the screen shows and then press the answer button on the spine. This stops the ringing, but the incoming call popup stays as though I haven't answered, the person doesn't hear me and I don't hear them, then I get a missed call notification.
This does not happen 100% of the time. So far I have only noticed it when I've been receiving calls from my mother. However, she's pretty much the only person who rings me
Anyone got any ideas as to what is causing this/how I can fix it?
Update: I've done a hard reset and it seems the button still isn't answering the call. It isn't rejecting the call, it just isn't answering it.
This phone is proving to be more trouble than it's worth...
Hi
since i use android for hd2 i have this strange problem with almost all version and it happen frequently on sense versions,
when the phone rings when i press answer i hear a parazit voice and after a while the phone app force close and the phone become unresponsive for one minute then it response normally except the phone app (dial etc) so i have to reboot the device to make it work again.
thank you
any answer?
I think you're facing the so called "robot voice".
To get ride of this, when you receive a call, put the speaker on and hand up to end the conversation. It should work normally for all call.
Try also to disable the tone sound while pressing numbers...
i will try to disable the dialpad tones thank you
hey all,
a while ago, suddenly one day without notice, my phone started behaving funny when receiving an incoming phone call.
Often, the Phone App's GUI wouldn't appear in the foreground. the phone would ring and vibrate properly, i could silent the ring with the volume rocker, but i have no way to answer the call. i know when it is finished ringing when i can see the missed call notification in the notifications bar.
also, during the ringing, i can continue using the app that was already in the foreground, the home button is disabled, and the notifications shade is disabled (cannot be pulled down)
i have no idea what i did to cause this (maybe playing with Handy Call?) and no idea how to get out of this state.
the worst part is, it seems to be random, i have no idea why it happens sometimes and not others. it is super annoying. ive actually started assigning specific ringtones to important people so i know immediately who is calling.
any one encounter this? any ideas?
xt907 running stock Rom 183.46.10, rooted, unlocked
I recently had this problem where the call automatically Turned-On Speaker during the call.
The screen wasn't lit, so any Speaker button pressing is not possible too.
Again this happened while on a WhatsApp call.
What would be the solution for this?
I am also facing this issue, quite a lot lately. It would be great if someone can suggest a solution or atleast the root cause.
WhatsApp is a 3rd party app, so I would suggest to look in that app's settings to see if something is there that can be turned on/off or go to play store and write a review + send email to the dev of the app.
