This is still a work in progress but pretty much everything I can test works.
I'll work on the OP later but I've been asked about it a lot so thought I'd post it for you guys to play with as you wish.
Post bugs here so I can address them as needed.

You'll need to install gapps as well.. the tiny gapps from mongoose's thread will work fine
As always, what you do with your phone is your responsibility, not mine.... Have fun
I can't get past the setup wizard. I tap the droid, and it keeps telling me that setup wizard has stopped, then it goes right back to touch the android to begin
E: got past the setup wizard. I forgot about touching the four corners to bypass it. gonna test this out now.
hey hey! see you guys arent dead yet lol
great to see you got a cm9 port up and running, keep up the good work
Damn, just in time for jelly bean! I'll check this out soon!
I started from scratch again, just to make sure I didn't do something funny the first time I installed it. So far I've found Setup wizard will not work, so it has to be bypassed in order to start doing anything. Calendar will not show anything. It claims it is sync'd in accounts, but in the calendar app itself, nothing shows up. It doesn't show any calendars listed under the account in settings either.
It looks pretty sharp, however, and seems to be fairly full featured for a brand new 'WIP"
E: Sounds are very quiet, even at max volume. I can barely hear ringtones/alarms, etc in a quiet room.
Sounds awesome. I'll try it out ASAP.
It's great have a camera that will focus!! A few things I found though, were that while the camera would switch to camcorder (which is awesome!), it wouldn't record. Also, the home button doesn't work.

Thanks for the report on what works and what doesn't. Any other major observations?
camcorder preview works, but its due to camera.msm7k.so in /lib/hw that is only built right now to take pictures and display preview. this will hopefully be fixed in the future easily as htc wildfire (buzz) has camcorder working, so we will have to see what erwinp did to get it working.
Yay

I haven't played with it too much, but it seems just a tick slower than Evervolv (I think), but seems to have better battery life (I think). Also, I forgot to mention, the USB Mass Storage thing is a little wonky, For example, it pops up when I plug it into the wall. One thing I want to check is whether the headphone jack works.
ETA: Titanium Backup just failed to get root rights. Not sure if that has anything to do with the ROM though.
Another update is that the microphone doesn't work for making calls.
I haven't done much more with this yet, but I got bored today after sitting at the hospital most of the day......
What's coming is already better for me than cm9...

Possibly tonight. One thing that I can tell so far that needs addressed. Everything else that I can test... WiFi, camera, use mount, etc is working. Haven't tried camcorder yet though.

I'm guessing he means from [ROM][AOSP] 4.1.1 JellyBean | Evervolv-Eligo | 3.0.0p2 | 8/26/12, it's in the first post.

EDIT: UNDER DEVELOPEMENT AND WILL BE RELEASED WHEN READY! KEEP AN EYE ON THIS THREAD!!!!
Here's an idea... when you turn your phone off, it locks... when you turn it on, you must roll your thumb/finger to the right around the wheel of the diamond to unlock it...
as you wheel around, the white line around the circle begins to fill from the top, moving rightward around...
sorry for the poor image quality, i just threw it together as a thought.
I hope a developer can throw this together, prolly isn't hard at all and would really be cool for the diamond. Better graphics and glowing line ofcourse.
its simple and utilizes the unique hardware of the diamond, and also the pro.

anyone like?
anyone down to try and create it?
Wish i could, but i have no idea where to start. i'm in the dark here.
to clear up any confusion that may come up, the lights on the wheel itself don't need to light up as you wheel around... only the circle on the screen.
as you would pass a point on the wheel, another section of the ring on the screen would fill in.
Sounds like a good idea. Hope someone have the time to make it.
im sure that 'wheel-2-unlock' is one of the features of the TouchXperience ROM but it would take a long time for this rom to be released i guess.
TouchXperience is a ROM? Not just a cab installation?

CapacitiveFingerLock
I am working on such an idea already for a week or so:
CapacitiveFingerLock.
It will have another locking/unlocking mechanism on top of StylusLock, as described in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2681112&postcount=62
Because I am now on a business trip in America, I had not much time to work on the program. But I haven proven already that it works. I have to remove some stuff from the proven program, and integrate it with my already existing StylusLock. The goal is that it does NOT cost extra battery power and CPU and is really simple to use.
The reason to add this, is to have it possible to lock and unlock "one handed". The StylusLock approach cannot be done "one handed", e.g. on a bike. Also some people do not like to operate with the StylusLock. The combination with this new CapacitiveFingerLock and existing StylusLock will suit more people. And sometimes people will use the Stylus, so they will get the right behaviour depended on the usage.
Good idea, as I do not use any locks or such applications, but this one sounds nice. Just remember that this app should not conflict with, or somehow overcover and incomming call

Woohoo, I've been asking for such a thing for weeks now. Do you have a working version already?
That would be awesome.
Definitely MUCH MUCH better than SensorLock and all the - no need to mention - rest!
Especially because SensorLock is still buggy as hell!
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN THIS POST BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM!

I'm proud to present, DamageR_DCG v4.6 Eris Port
I absolutely love this ROM, it's so smooth and fast. I constantly get about 70-100 MB of ram free (it zipalign's at boot) and the LWP look great!
I did NOT create this wonderful ROM, I just ported it over to our phone from the Hero.
Thanks to:

Spencer_Moore - For helping me with a few problems I had while porting
Tazzpatriot - Helping with problems as well
jcase - For plain jaine rom

Zanfur - His OC kernel
Parts of this rom are from both Plain Jaine by jcase and Ivan's official 80t or something like that. Thank you both!

If you enable JIT, get ready to reboot a lot. JIT is still VERY unstable. It'll bump you up from 3.1 mflops to 5.1 though.

DOWNLOAD DamageR_DCG.v4.6 Rev 2
This IS a full wipe update. Sorry guys.
Mirrors:
http://www.2shared.com/file/L2T0XXFC/DamageR_DCG_v46_Rev_2.html
DamageR_DCG Rev 2 Nav
Decided to make a version with working Nav, gallery,etc. I also added the fixed calender which I'll add to the main ROM later on
Download SetCPU here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419 or on the Market for $1.99 or the other overclock widget that slips my mind at the moment..
For best results: In SetCPU choose Autodetect speeds and set it to no more than 768 or else your phone may be put into a bootloop. And put window animations to fast in spare parts.
What works:
Data
Maps
GPS
Proximity sensor
Wifi
Bluetooth
Landscape mode
What doesn't:
MMS (see below)
Facebook sync (see below as well)
Calender FC's (working on that next)
MMS fix: You can fix mms by downloading APN Backup & Restore from the market. I will include the APN you need. Copy the APN to the apn backup folder on your sd card. Go into the app and click delete APNs, then restore apns and choose the fixed apn file. (thanks to Frankenlincoln I think his name is for the fix. If i got your name wrong, sorry and to Ivanmmj for the fixed apn)
Facebook sync: I believe syncing your feed will work, but contacts will not. You'll get a random FC (com.htc.bg) However this is a problem with the MAIN ROM and until Magnus or I find a fix for it here's a work around if you really need it.
Download this app
or just search Facebook sync and it's the first one in the list. Follow the instructions and voila.
If you are seeing abnormal battery drain, please try this:
This should help fix some of the battery issues for most people, as it'll "fix" 3G. Go to your dialer and type *#*#4636*#*# and click "Phone Information" hit the menu key and select "Select Radio Band" it'll FC but this is normal! Scroll down and it'll say "GSM Auto (PRL)" click the arrow next to it and select "CDMA Auto PRL" You'll have to do this every time you reboot but I've noticed improved battery life after doing this.
Thanks goes out to Framework43 for discovering this fix.
Apparently that doesn't stick sometimes, so be sure to do the airplane mode trick too!
If that doesn't help you try this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Troubleshooting#Battery_recalibration
If you have any problems feel free to tell them here or PM me. Have fun with this! I know I have.

Great rom
This rom is great, and your mms fix worked perfectly, but I am not able to get wifi to work, and I also can't get the screen to rotate. Haven't tested bluetooth as I lost my headset, but other than that it is working fine. Great job, I appreciate the time you have put in to porting this.

Just reset your phone, by either using the button under the back, or hold down the power button in Android.
It's not really installed, more like running on top of windows. Only difference is, you can't close it and get back into windows, you have to restart the device.

i tryed over and over to get this to work and the closest i could get was to the boot screen i could barely see because it was so dim. so i got my spare freshly formated class 6 8 gig sd/card installed it on it and now it boots up fine.
Is this suppose to last for a while or does it only work for a few minute. after 5 to 15 min it seems to freeze up.
It Works Pretty Good For Me...
Also I never installed the HSPL but it still works. Are you suppose to install it or is it just recomnended?
Still too buggy, random freezes, etc

Android for HD2 is not a ROM, instead its booted through HARet and you can run it without HSPL
This Android thing still has another month or two of hard work before it will run right. People are just putting their builds out there for other developers, to show what theyve accomplished so far, and to get people excited. We just gotta be patient and help the devs out.
Success
Finally got it working on my ustmobile hd2 after many tries. This tut was the one that made it easy for me. Thanks to the poster and all those in the scene who have made it possible. I am so excited that we may actually have a stable build in the not so far off future.
I got this to work just fine after a few tries. But I have noticed still there is no way of charging the phone while using Android. And also noticed that it runs down the battery very fast. But hopefully someday soon there will be a fix for charging.

- Working light sensor
- Bluetooth, Wifi, Data
- Speaker is nice and loud

- 1GB Data.img included
Check the changelog below for updates!
Installation:
- Place "Android" folder on the root of your SD card
- With keypad lights on, run "CLRCAD.exe" then "haret.exe"
- First boot will take up to 15 minutes
- Wait to unlock screen until it says to (with blinking arrows)

- Enter APN information manually to get Data working properly.
To get data working:

3. Enter your provider-specific information (Google is your friend
4. Press menu and select "Save"
5. Press the radius button next to your new APN and you're good to go!
What doesn't work:
- Camera Flash is still premature

I think that build uses michyprimas R11 kernel which is nexus based? not evo. The new evo kernels have the flash problem.

yet, another great build
although, small problem.
i presumed that the android default lockscreen would interfere with the default HTC sense alarms going off, although this didn't seem to be the case, as it went off when i did a little test just now.

Hey everyone, right now I am working on a rom for the D2 and I had it all going great and was just about to release it to the community until I came across a pretty major bug with the text color. I fixed that bug with the help of another developer but after fixing the bug I came across a string of other bugs which weren't there before.
Most of the bugs were easily fixable except for a few and one of them I couldn't fix by myself.
The bug is that whenever I am in the settings.apk I cannot access most of the options because it force closes constantly which also results in reboots when I am trying to turn on wifi, gps, etc. It is usable but annoyingly slow. My idea was to just replace the settings.apk and settingsprovider.apk with new/stock ones and I am doing that right now and am going to flash that rom really soon but I am not sure if that will work, any ideas?
Also my logcat looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and just keeps updating the status of the phone position multiple times a second. When I logcat other roms they never constantly update the screen position and I was thinking that this probably sucks the battery dry , does anyone know how to make it update the screen position less often?
Finally I must've misplaced some file in the framework-res.apk and now whenever I try to change the volume of either the ringer or some media the bar that shows how loud it is goes all crazy and turns into a spinner *shown bellow*.
Any help with any of these problems would be great.
Thanks a lot,
ljbaumer
p.s. the rom should be released in a BETA in probably a week once these bugs are fixed and I make a few more changes to the look and speed.
Cool... is this rom based on anouther??? Is it blur or non blur??? Good luck if you need any help hit me up

It is completely non-blur.
I might include a few pieces of MIUI in it (because I am going to do my best to try and port MIUI over to the D2 from the Droid after this rom).

Cool just make sure you give credit to everyones app etc... that you use
If you are really interested in doing this right, I can help you setup your build envirement so you can build your own apps... this is something I have offered since releasing GummyJAR but to date only droid2169 has taken me up on it....

Yeah I definitely will credit everyone!
(I think I PMed you a while back about building my rom from gummyjar but I may have not...)
I hate people who steal work from other people without writing credits.
It would be great if you could help me set up an environment to build apps.
thanks,

The sound progress issue is linked to progress_horizontal.xml in framework-res/res/drawable. Make sure you have that file edited correctly.

Thanks,
I didn't do any editing to that file.... Should i just replace it with a stock progress_horizontal.xml from a fresh framework-res.apk and see if that fixes it?

Yes, you can try that. Or use the one from my theme to get the white color.

thanks, I 'bricked' my phone so I had to SBF and now I am stock again, so I am just rooting over. I'll use the file from your theme so I can get the white one (which looks tight) and then I think I am just going to resync with gummyjar and start over because I just got a new computer for Christmas and I'll just save my system/app and framework-res.apk so that I won't have to do that much editing over again.
thanks,
