I think that build uses michyprimas R11 kernel which is nexus based? not evo. The new evo kernels have the flash problem.
Just a quick question because I do not see is specified...this is PPP correct?
???
Is this the Desire HD build or an EVO build? You could post here some pics of the build so we can see what it is
Does anyone have a mirror? That androidspin link will not work at all for me.
Thanks.

ok can you send me the link? and what would be different? like what would i loose out on by switching cause i know every
body changed for a reason right?
yet, another great build
although, small problem.
i presumed that the android default lockscreen would interfere with the default HTC sense alarms going off, although this didn't seem to be the case, as it went off when i did a little test just now.
although, there doesn't seem to be a way to actually turn off the alarm once its actually going off.
please correct me if i'm wrong but this is what i've found
again, thankyou for this build!

Looks good
Responsive rom. I agree the red looks pretty good too.
Pros (for me): Speed! Fastest i've seen of this build.
Cons (for me): intro+weed = unattractive.
camera doesn't work. (haven't been able to use the camera with any Sense builds thus far)
Rating (from me): 8/10

I currently don't have a data plan so i will have to figure out how to download apps and install them offline. I'll first need to find ASTRO online, but how will i install it without a file explorer? I am very new to Android, but i couldn't find any file explorer built into Android.
I am also trying to find info on exactly how to partition my SD card using the EXT2 method. Getting lost along the way... but learning as I go
Thnx for the tips and the excellent build!

just place the app in a folder called "AndroidApps" in the root of your sdcard and it will install on the next boot into android.
Awesome! Thnx again!
i tried to run on the vogue but i get stuck looping at the canibus screen ive ran other builds fine but cant get this one working
Had the same problem until I realized my resolution was set for 320x240 and density of 120. Changed to the correct resolution and lcd density and it booted first time. Also, if you're using another hero data.img you might get this issue as well.
so i booted this rom regular, without doing the ext2 backup, and it actually is really stable so far. it runs smooth most of the time. have a bit of trouble sometimes here and there on the home screen, but a very stable build. i love the red, kinda makes it looks like it was build-in on the xv6900.
this is a nice rom, i was wondering tho where i could get a package with the the lockscreen slider that is in this rom please

Strange, I am unable to load it to ex2. Getting mounting errors. Is this the same for you all?
ok so i was just wondering wether this is just my problem or not, i work on a dairy farm so i tend to use my phone for an mp3 player up to 8 hrs a day , i have noticed a bug/issue with this rom and and sensehero 1.3.3 and zens 1.6 donut build and a couple of others ( sorry cannot remember there names ) that when playing music ( headphones ) and i recieve a phone call my phone firstly wont play a ringtone and then reboots lol, have done some testing and at the moment this rom HeroZenMagic--102309--system is the one im using as this rom dosent seem to have this bug. How do i go about narrowing this problem down, or better yet what is causing this issue and how do i fix it?
I'm stuck at the Cannibus screen too. 320x480 @160 using latest basefiles. (Non EXT2 or NAND), running from sd.
PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN THIS POST BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM!
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, it explodes, causes global warming or spills millions of gallons of oil into the ocean.
I'm proud to present, DamageR_DCG v4.6 Eris Port
I absolutely love this ROM, it's so smooth and fast. I constantly get about 70-100 MB of ram free (it zipalign's at boot) and the LWP look great!
I did NOT create this wonderful ROM, I just ported it over to our phone from the Hero.
Thanks to:

Spencer_Moore - For helping me with a few problems I had while porting
Tazzpatriot - Helping with problems as well
jcase - For plain jaine rom
ivanmmj - Eris official rom
Zanfur - His OC kernel
Parts of this rom are from both Plain Jaine by jcase and Ivan's official 80t or something like that. Thank you both!

If you enable JIT, get ready to reboot a lot. JIT is still VERY unstable. It'll bump you up from 3.1 mflops to 5.1 though.
What I've done:
The initial port, bugfixes, etc
Removed:
DCUpdater (pointless since you don't have the hero version)
SetCPU on devs request
Original Font. Heard lots of complaints about it and it hurt my eyes. if anyone wants it i'll include it in a flashable update.

DOWNLOAD DamageR_DCG.v4.6 Rev 2
This IS a full wipe update. Sorry guys.
Mirrors:
http://www.2shared.com/file/L2T0XXFC/DamageR_DCG_v46_Rev_2.html
DamageR_DCG Rev 2 Nav
Decided to make a version with working Nav, gallery, etc. I also added the fixed calender which I'll add to the main ROM later on
Download SetCPU here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419 or on the Market for $1.99 or the other overclock widget that slips my mind at the moment..
For best results: In SetCPU choose Autodetect speeds and set it to no more than 768 or else your phone may be put into a bootloop. And put window animations to fast in spare parts.
What works:
Data
Maps
GPS
Proximity sensor
Wifi
Bluetooth
Landscape mode
What doesn't:
MMS (see below)
Facebook sync (see below as well)
Calender FC's (working on that next)
MMS fix: You can fix mms by downloading APN Backup & Restore from the market. I will include the APN you need. Copy the APN to the apn backup folder on your sd card. Go into the app and click delete APNs, then restore apns and choose the fixed apn file. (thanks to Frankenlincoln I think his name is for the fix. If i got your name wrong, sorry and to Ivanmmj for the fixed apn)
Facebook sync: I believe syncing your feed will work, but contacts will not. You'll get a random FC (com.htc.bg) However this is a problem with the MAIN ROM and until Magnus or I find a fix for it here's a work around if you really need it.
Download this app
or just search Facebook sync and it's the first one in the list. Follow the instructions and voila.
If you are seeing abnormal battery drain, please try this:
This should help fix some of the battery issues for most people, as it'll "fix" 3G. Go to your dialer and type *#*#4636*#*# and click "Phone Information" hit the menu key and select "Select Radio Band" it'll FC but this is normal! Scroll down and it'll say "GSM Auto (PRL)" click the arrow next to it and select "CDMA Auto PRL" You'll have to do this every time you reboot but I've noticed improved battery life after doing this.
Thanks goes out to Framework43 for discovering this fix.
Apparently that doesn't stick sometimes, so be sure to do the airplane mode trick too!
If that doesn't help you try this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Troubleshooting#Battery_recalibration
If you have any problems feel free to tell them here or PM me. Have fun with this! I know I have.

Rev 2: Fixed Wifi, Bluetooth, orientation sensor, added different gallery (it's a blue icon). Thanks to tazzpatriot for doing this! You may want to still install/download setcpu or Overclock widget again. OC widget IS included but it FC'd on me.

Thanks! If any of you could do me a favor, see if wifi and bluetooth are working and lemme know. That'd help a bunch. I don't have the same version as the one I released (didn't get a chance to switch over)
Hey ill test it, loading up right now thanks sheen160 and congrats on the rom port it looks great!
Great rom
This rom is great, and your mms fix worked perfectly, but I am not able to get wifi to work, and I also can't get the screen to rotate. Haven't tested bluetooth as I lost my headset, but other than that it is working fine. Great job, I appreciate the time you have put in to porting this.

Similar to how touch-typers know where to hit based upon the raised marks on the F and J keys.

Successful flash. This rom looks great. It is stripped down to the same items I have been building in the rom kitchen, plus a few nice touches I have been having to add post kitchen (appwidgetpicker & ext power menu).
Some color to some icons looks great, instead of the usual monchromatic theme options. I won't use "just pictures" or "ADW" - easy enough to remove.
It seems the JPY rom base is pretty stable and common now. Performance tweaks coming from kernel and / or modem. This is the perfect base for me.
looks promising, and looks good. Ima get me a test drive in this afternoon. Thanks for the work, I cant wait for the experience.
and yes, the name is pretty cool.
Is that a live wallpaper or a static one? And if it's live does it change with time? Nothing to do with the ROM itself sorry.
Just flashed over, looks very nice so far.

Works well for me. Lock 10 out of 10 sats while indoors with GPS test. Good tracking down interstate highway. I live in major metro area and use copilot instead of att nav / google maps.
Bonus Find: Voice calling through bluetooth works. For those learning (like me) you must be on internet in some fashion for google voice commands to work. Too bad this rom isn't getting more play in the group.
The only issue I have with this rom is the transparency on the notifications and the white popup menu backgrounds. Perhaps more an issue with my eyes only, but it's my only complaint so far.

This can be adjusted. I am moving this weekend, after I will fool around with it a bit.
I can't read this thread title without thinking of this.
JobManager.apk missing in /system/app that is causing FC whenever trying to open "task manager". Attaching the app to this post.
This is still a work in progress but pretty much everything I can test works.
I'll work on the OP later but I've been asked about it a lot so thought I'd post it for you guys to play with as you wish.
Post bugs here so I can address them as needed.

You'll need to install gapps as well.. the tiny gapps from mongoose's thread will work fine
As always, what you do with your phone is your responsibility, not mine.... Have fun
I can't get past the setup wizard. I tap the droid, and it keeps telling me that setup wizard has stopped, then it goes right back to touch the android to begin
E: got past the setup wizard. I forgot about touching the four corners to bypass it. gonna test this out now.
hey hey! see you guys arent dead yet lol
great to see you got a cm9 port up and running, keep up the good work
Damn, just in time for jelly bean! I'll check this out soon!
I started from scratch again, just to make sure I didn't do something funny the first time I installed it. So far I've found Setup wizard will not work, so it has to be bypassed in order to start doing anything. Calendar will not show anything. It claims it is sync'd in accounts, but in the calendar app itself, nothing shows up. It doesn't show any calendars listed under the account in settings either.
It looks pretty sharp, however, and seems to be fairly full featured for a brand new 'WIP"
E: Sounds are very quiet, even at max volume. I can barely hear ringtones/alarms, etc in a quiet room.
Sounds awesome. I'll try it out ASAP.
It's great have a camera that will focus!! A few things I found though, were that while the camera would switch to camcorder (which is awesome!), it wouldn't record. Also, the home button doesn't work.

Thanks for the report on what works and what doesn't. Any other major observations?
camcorder preview works, but its due to camera.msm7k.so in /lib/hw that is only built right now to take pictures and display preview. this will hopefully be fixed in the future easily as htc wildfire (buzz) has camcorder working, so we will have to see what erwinp did to get it working.
Yay

I haven't played with it too much, but it seems just a tick slower than Evervolv (I think), but seems to have better battery life (I think). Also, I forgot to mention, the USB Mass Storage thing is a little wonky, For example, it pops up when I plug it into the wall. One thing I want to check is whether the headphone jack works.
ETA: Titanium Backup just failed to get root rights. Not sure if that has anything to do with the ROM though.
Another update is that the microphone doesn't work for making calls.
I haven't done much more with this yet, but I got bored today after sitting at the hospital most of the day......
What's coming is already better for me than cm9...

Hi, hope everything's okay re: the hospital visit. Looking forward to trying this when you have the time.

Possibly tonight. One thing that I can tell so far that needs addressed. Everything else that I can test... WiFi, camera, use mount, etc is working. Haven't tried camcorder yet though.

I'm guessing he means from [ROM][AOSP] 4.1.1 JellyBean | Evervolv-Eligo | 3.0.0p2 | 8/26/12, it's in the first post.
