I need help getting my Motorola Atrix to charge up the battery. When I plug in the charger the following message pops up in a box, " /!\ Invalid Battery
Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged.
Replace the battery with an original Motorola battery."
I have the original Motorola Atrix battery that it came with originally. Problem occured out of nowhere. I cleared data/cache, rebooted phone, flashed different roms, took out battery then put it back in, used RSD Lite to flash back to stock 4.1.83 Atrix via sbf file but nothing worked.
Any fix for this?
Still can't figure out the problem.
Maybe need check warranty I use an chinese battery, and I did not get that message.

If you have any warranty left, take it in. Most places don't even question battery problems and will give you a new one.
If not you could always order a cheap battery online and see if that fixes your issue. Or order a battery charger and spare battery. for $10, it's a pretty cheap fix if it works.

It goes to 'M' Dual Core Technology screen and just stays there.
argggg ....you don't have an original charger ....
I have this probleme with a htc charger......with original one work great, don't boot
I've used my wifes HTC charger many times and never had any problems. If you are on AT&T call them and ask them to send you a new battery. They sent new one because my battery life sucked for free. Took about 5 days to get it.

i have the same problem but you had this for a long time ago
i purchased two extra batteries from ebay, and upon putting it into the phone it gave me the 'invalid battery' use original from moto.
i fixed it by clearing the battery stats using the batterycalibration app. i think every time i swap batteries i need to do this, as i got the message again when i changed out my dead battery for the second charged one.
I've been having strange battery issues since last November. As in, it looks like my battery drains pretty quickly, but after a reboot it jumps back up. I've tried multiple fixes for this and nothing has fixed the problem. I've tried a full drain and charge while the phone is off, pulling the battery and charging to 100%, and have even tried the cmjugfix yet nothing as worked. Any solutions?

Have u tried a different battery ? Also there is a thread somewhere with some really good to tips. Basically it says to charge your battery all the way up to 100 % while the phone is turned off. Then with the phone still plugged into the charger, take the battery out. Leave it out for a few minutes, put it back in, and it gives you a low battery animation when it's charging now like it's almost dead. That's ok. Then just leave it charging for another hour, take it off the charger, and use it normally. I've done this myself and it has worked for me.

I've used 3 different stock batteries and an extended one. I've also tried what you described and it's still not fixed lol.

My gf said her N7 showed a 0% charge even though 2 hours earlier she had a 60% charge. She then plugged it in and restarted, then it showed a 60% charge again.
Any ideas what may be wrong?

Not likely. Battery stats has absolutely nothing to do with reported charge level. Wiping it will have the same effect as clearing his market search history... None at all.

Are you using the charger that came with the Nexus 7? 'Cause the same thing happened to me last month. I used a charger I got from ebay, plugged it in, charged all day, came back, unplugged it, turned on & said it was in the red!
Same thing happened to me shortly after I had the N7.... and that was with using the supplied mains charger and cable.
All I did was leave it alone for a further hour and when I then went back to check the screen it had jumped all of 13%.
I was tempted to return the N7 but as it was night and I couldn't return it I left it on charge overnight...... The following morning it was 100% charged.
Since then it's been charged dozen's of times and not once been a problem since (says he touching wood).
My problem is that it wont show that its charging even tho it is. Tried all chargers i have and even the stock one is same. Was going to return it but all the horror stories I've heard i decided not going to bother. Chances are i get a worse unit back. Personally it looks like the connector is not going all the way in. I am going to shave some of the plastic off and see if that helps. Anyway I think Google needs better quality control at Asus and even at Samsung, i remember how my Gnex was packaged.

im running aokp JB build 2 and everytime i turn it on, the little battery icon says for example "54%" and on the lock screen it says "100%"
kinda strange. I was about to ask if it was rooted also, but someone did that before me, so im lost for words
So I've got a dx I'm getting set up for my wife...
Originally installed paranoid android but was having problems sometimes getting past a bootloop and did not realize that it won't charge during recovery,,,, it also would not charge while off it kept trying to reboot which would then loop....
So i searched and read about cutting an old cable and rigging it so it would work with dead battery..
That worked and seemed to be going fine, wound up doing an sbf and starting over, rooted again ,,, all was good,, (or so i thought) took off the cable rig,,,
and now if i try to charge it it shows a green light and icon animates like it's charging,,, but it's really not. It died again...
Thought maybe just the battery was old and gave up the ghost...
So i ordered another BH5X,, got it in and same thing happens with it,,, and if i try to charge from a powered off state it will try and boot up fully but then quickly display a large battery with a question mark and then reboot, starting the cycle over again...
What gives??? Did I screw something up internally, with the cable hack???

Had the same problem here. It seemed like charging but then fell out almost directly. Like he's using too much power while charging (even when power is off). After an extremely long charging he finally gave up 4% .. But went dead again after like 15 minutes......
Somebody any idea? Lot a thanks if you have any!..
if you did something like [Howto] Fix "Battery Low - Cannot program
you likely fried your phone and there is no fix
but phone not charging can be one of several problems
bad software: fix with sbf
bad charger: buy new charger
bad usb charging port: no fix at least not easy anyways Replacement Micro USB Charging Port
bad battery: buy new battery
also may want to buy a Battery Charger for Motorola Droid X (MB810)
or a TBH’s Motorola Programming Cable Adapter
Hi Folks...
My Nexus 7, rooted with Cyanogenmod 10.2.1. Grouper since 2014, has been absolutely trouble free until now.
The charging icon was spinning, indicating the battery was being charged, but it was not. The charge never went up, it only when down. This is with the factory wall charger.
At first I suspected software issues, as I noticed mediaserver appeared to be draining. I did a data reset, and the mediaserver usage went away. But the charging indicator still indicated charging even though it wasn't. I also tried the "magic bullet" battery apps, but I didn't expect them to help, and they did not.
I replaced the USB port as I thought it might be bad, and a bit worn out. That did not correct the problem.
I bought a new battery and that did not correct the problem.
That brings me to where I am now. I modified a USB cable that externally charges the battery. The battery quickly and fully charges, and the tablet works as it used to. When that battery starts going down (to about 20%, but it takes a while as it is only sipping the juice!), I pull that battery out and replace it with a freshly recharged battery (yes, also externally charged). Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue where the data cable in the USB port is working but the charging cable in the USB port isn't getting the charge up to the battery. Should my next step be to replace ribbon cables, and if so, which ones and where would I get them? I know opening the tablet up every other day to switch out batteries isn't the best way to go! I did a search, but did not find anyone with a similar problem.
Thanks!!!
I was too wordy above.
The spinning icon indicates the tablet is charging, but it is not. USB port and battery have been replaced to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks!
LOL.... I'm having a pretty good conversation with myself! That's okay. I talk to myself a lot... and it helps me figure things out for myself. The latest: swapping externally recharged batteries is keeping the tablet running fine. But now, whenever I go to Battery in Settings, the only item listed as using battery is Android System, at 100%. No longer is screen or other apps listed. Oh well... Think I'd better do a Titanium backup soon!
Does it charge it the unit is powered off?

Thank you for the reply! No. It doesn't charge with the tablet turned off. It will show the charging animation when you press the power button, so it appears to be charging, but it's not. Oh.. I did clear the Dalvic cache and the battery settings is once again showing all battery usage.
You could try a pogo cable if you can find one. Really sounds like a capacitor in the charging curcuit is bad. I would just swap out the motherboard.

Thank you, PsiPhi! I apologize for the late reply. I've just continued to swap battery with a freshly charged one. I looked and saw that the motherboards are not that expensive. Kind of surprised me. I should give that a try. Again... thank you!
