Has anyone heard anything about the GS3 S.A.F.E edition? - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

I haven't heard anything about the Samsung Galaxy 3 S.A.F.E. edition which stands for Samsung Approved For Enterprise. Should be coming out very soon.

The packaging says S.A.F.E at the back, so I'm assuming all devices have it (atleast the At&T ones).

The Verizon version (at least) is S.A.F.E.

My Sprint one also has the S.A.F.E. logo on the box

att as well

T-Moble one says SAFE and Samsung Approved For Enterprise as well.

I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S III and the packaging has the S.A.F.E. logo and paper.
I believe SAFE was just a certified program Samsung announced after the phone's launch, but contains features already found in the phone.

Samsung Hinting at Galaxy Note Plus

Sammy says it's shopping the new processor around to other handset manufacturers (like Meizu), noting that the Exynos 4 Quad is pin-to-pin compatible with the Exynos 4 Dual (the brains behind the Galaxy S II and Note), which gives designers the ability to update product designs with minimal costs.

EDIT: Could it be that T-mo, Sprint, and Verizon were waiting for this? Should be interesting to see what is revealed May 3.
T-Mo's version is almost surely going to be a rebadged I717.
As to a Note Plus - I'd have to look through the I9100 update4 defconfigs again but no evidence of a Note Plus. However there's clear evidence of an S2 Plus - https://github.com/Entropy512/kernel_galaxys2_ics/blob/master/arch/arm/configs/s2plus_defconfig and also that one of the upcoming devices (identified as c1 - which USED to be the identifier for the Galaxy S II, but that was renamed to u1 with ICS) is for Verizon - https://github.com/Entropy512/kernel_galaxys2_ics/blob/master/arch/arm/configs/c1vzw_00_defconfig
Possible, I s'pose.
Didn't a few carriers receive Galaxy S "plus" iterations as recently as late 2011?

Nope, just altered versions. SGH-I777 and SPH-D710 were marketed as the Galaxy S II, the GT-I9100P was marketed as "Galaxy S II NFC" or maybe just as Galaxy S II.
LTE-enabled Qualcomm-based mangled devices were also released and had the Galaxy S II name applied:
SGH-I727 (Skyrocket)
SGH-T989 (not LTE, but 42 Mbps HSPA+ enabled - T-Mobile S II)
SGH-I717 (AT&T Note)
Nothing has been marketed as an "S II Plus" yet.
i wouldn't doubt it. its hard trying to stay updated with their latest devices. what have so many multiple versions? just create a phone that works around globe on all carriers. done.

North American carriers suck.
Well it could be the rumored Galaxy Journal, which I wouldn't mind since my work account is with Sprint, although carrying 2 Notes (one on Straight Talk and another on Sprint) would be weird.

I was referring to the i9001 and similar, Galaxy S Plus models - not the ones based on the S2.

Well, Samsung just announced a Galaxy S Advance, to replace their Galaxy S Plus.
I guess nothing is out of the question when it comes to iterating on their devices.

My story is supported by note, s2,s3. So only people with those phones can use it.

Unfortunately a pretty useless app.
I did not see that mentioned in the publicity.
That's always the problem with such proprietary software. If they really want mystory to be used they will have to release it for non Samsung phones too. Without support for other phones it is going to disappear sooner or later. I for example do not know one single person I can send mystory messages. I don't even know why I installed it

My Sources tell me that it is not the first of June, but more on the 21st.
quad core?
The Samsung Galaxy S® III is optimized for peak performance on the nation’s fastest 4G LTE and HSPA+ networks, and will launch with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular.
Its says HSPA+, which equal non 4g right. Maybe quad core for some American carriers.
I think Samsung will make them Quad-Core all of them.
Also the designs will NOT be tampered like the past 2 Galaxy S Variants. We can probably guess that T-Mobile will be one of the better carriers to include it (highest selling) as the other carriers have iPhones and the release of the new one right around the corner will even out the GS3 sales.

Galaxy Note 2 on tmobile?

Does anyone know if the galaxy note 2 will be released on t mobile when the other carriers also get it?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
Not to be a ****, but you may want to wait until there is an announcement of such a device's existence before inquiring about what carrier it will be on.

just a rumor for now, dont get too excited until official announcement.. But as for the OP talking about a Note 2, then i dont know about that lol
Like others have stated, the first Galaxy Note is coming to T-Mobile next month, so I would say its safe to assume that it probably will, but then again like everyone already said it's better to wait till they actually announce it...officially.

The next generation of galaxy note will only be a bigger version of the s3 with a few additional features, so if you don't like the s3, you won't like the next galaxy note.

GT-N8020 running JB

First off had no idea their was a 4th version of the note 10.1. And second it is running JB. Does this mean we will be seeing JB for others soon?
Since I'm new I can't post links but if you YouTube and Google it you find a video and info
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda app-developers app
Where did you see the same and as per what I know no note 10.1 has got JB update till date may be its a beta
The LTE Note 10.1 was shown on JB at IFA in September with Vodafone Germany branding. It's also passed the U.S. FCC in August on its way to AT&T. It's obviously not finished yet.
It must have beta rom which is still under dev thats the reason its not been released

New T-Mobile devices are future prooved with lte, look at note 2 T-Mobile it has lte ,and I,m telling that it is a T-Mobile because I saw the video where this picture come from (google n8020 note 10.1 for t mobile)

God you guys are a tough crowd. If T-Mobile gets a Note 10.1 and if it's LTE it won't be a N8020. It'll be assigned a name to go along with T-Mobile's device naming convention like every Samsung device they've carried in the past. The only version of the Note to pass through the FCC has AT&T's LTE bands.
Here's a pic of the LTE Note at the Vodafone booth at IFA. If you speak German you can hear more about it in the video the pic came from.
