Has anyone else had a problem with the battery app (settings->battery) misreporting the amount of time your phone is off charge? I unplugged my verizon s3 at 5 am this morning and at 3:30 pm it is reporting 7hrs and 31 minutes on battery. By my calculation that is 10 hrs 30 minutes.

i posted a thread about calibratign now i noticed today again battery got even better i ntead of lasting half the day its at 55% and its the end of the day!!!! huge differnce its been in use over 15 hours it would die after 7 hours before! i have a widget called "quick battery" which is a widget i posted on one of my pages on my phone.... i been cyharging it overnight which will be 6-9 hours at times nad battery will stay at 100% with texting and facebook checking app version for like 2-4 hours then go to 99% but oncei t drops form 100% battery slowly goes down 1% every 15 minutes is this normal or incoorect percatnage
Just curious as to what uses most of your guy's battery
mine says 52 percent discharging, 3h 8 min on batter (coming from 100 percent charged)
57 percent screen
10 percent android OS
9 percent Android System
4 percent wifi
and the rest are various apps
Very similar on usage. 50% screen. 5% WiFi. Other than that, same. But I get even less battery life than you do. I have about 3 hours remaining and I'm at 65%.
When reading on low brightness and wifi off, battery goes down 5% every 20 minutes.
20% per 30 minutes when watching video.
10% per 20 minute with wifi on and active web browsing.

My screen is only using 35, I have my brightness turned down to save battery life.
I am also using jandycane though.

Here are some screenshots of my current ROM (twa_priv's)
My percentages are pretty similar as well. I'm down to 17 percent battery.
33% Screen
13% Android OS
12% Tablet Idle
6% Android System
6% Mediaserver
3% WiFi
10% Miscellaneous apps

Haha, mine has 98% screen and 3% wifi. What the..??
Another shot:
I got my GS4 yesterday and charged it to 100% last night for the first time. Today I'm at 62% battery with only 1h 15m screen time. Is there a break in period? This seems kind of bad to me. I've used that hour looking at Tumblr a little, reading the news with Firefox Beta a little. Some light texting. Four songs on Spotify over Bluetooth during my commute.
The first two days were disappointing for me...then by the fourth or fifth day the battery lasted like a champ.
I'm experiencing the same issue, 31% 13h 27 min on time, 3h 2 screen time
My battery came pre charged @ 60%
Charged it and used it for about 17 hours with 4 hours screen time and it still had like 30 - 40 %
But ... I'm charging my phone that was @40 % and it's taking over 4 hours to charge that 60% ....
I saw improved battery life after a few days on both of my S4 so I would assume yes it needs at least a few days to break in.

Yup, both mine took maybe 3 full charge-discharge cycles.

Happened yesterday. Froze as I was unlocking it. Hard reboot. Went from 24 to 36 hours with 4 to 5 yours of screen on time and about 1% loss in 2-3 hours on standby, to showing about 6 to 7 hours total usage time and a 3% drain every half hour in stand by.
Stock rooted JB, nothing special. Ideas? I'm not seeing anything jump out at me using battery specs or wakelock programs.
Update: Some testing and watching while at work revealed nothing strange. No wakelocks or anything. Thought maybe i was having an audioout_3 issue because its partial wakelock count was at the top of the list, but not astrinomical, and the phone is verified to be going into and staying in deep sleep.
But......at 82% battery the phone is telling me there's under 11 hours remaining. That's WAY off.......is it possible something shorted intetnally when iy froze on me yesterday?

I have a high screen off/flight mode battery drain. About 10% in 5-6 hours. No idea where this comes from.
Around 8 hours Display Off = 2-3%

Yes I get good sot. But what I experienced on 2 occasions something went dreadfully wrong ,total battery drain in an hour or 2 by not using phone after fully overnight charge.
