Just wondering how much do you think a 2 month mint EVO phone should sell for ? Rooted about 130 calls made on it . 0004 hardware mint shape two chargers two 8 gig SD cards a defender case and holster new looking no dents nicks. With a trident kraken case and holster .?
The phone has been mint shape not a refurbished unit new . Rooted and up to date on everything for it.
No more than 250 max, try Craigslist. If you can get more than 250 for it kudos..........
I sold mine on CL about 2 months ago.
Left it rooted, 16GB card, hi cap battery and door. HW0003 and near mint condition. I got 250 for it.
I also met the guy at subway and we did the ESN swap online. Then i helped him program it.
I've seen Evo's with bad ESN's still go for about $200, so probably $250-$300.

Lol yeah I bet people jump on those *sarcasm*. Evos priced higher than 250 will sit there. People don't buy based on full retail they buy based on upgrade prices.....a new evo in box never been opened should sell for 275-300 Max. I see nexus s 4G's brand new right now for 340-360.
Super expensive, but that's the price you'll probably have to pay to be an early adopter. Featured on ebay daily deals today so it should be legit.

There are cheaper ones you can find on eBay that are under $700
.....the ones below 700 are usually from HKong last time I checked.

shame, would have been a good price otherwise!
now another Indian ebayer sells it for $582.27 - no international shipping though!
Anybody made the transition from a Dell Streak to a Samsung Galaxy Note yet? If so, how did you get on?
I've been thinking that if Dell ever stop selling the Streak, this might be my replacement ...
I think there's no doubt that every Streak owners will/should shift to the Note which is far superior in every aspects to the Streak. At the time being, only its expensive price is holding most of us to make the switch.

I have bought two Notes, but still using my Streak....Reason being that I sold one, and the one that I kept had DEAD Pixels...so sending it back to the seller to get a replacement....hopefully will get it in less than two weeks.....
It's a great phone...however, it seems to have some issues with the screens....many owners on XDA reported some bad screen qualities and dead pixels....
It also has a problem playing videos with Dark/Black scenes...where the Blacks look Blocky.....
That's all I can say for now until I get my replacement

i haven't had a single issue with dark/black screens or blocky
blocky video playback issue is usually associated with encoding issue or decoding
I've had some terrible issues with one of the top gear vids in 720p high profile and that's the only vid where blocky scene will come up where the encoding issue exists

It is the only reason I would dump my Dell Streak. . . I love the reviews and the specs on the Galaxy Note, But. . . . the price tag is too rich for this po' boy
I'm going to buy one after christmas with my christmas money, I've had my streak a year on new years eve, and always updrade once a year. This phone looks like a very welcome step up from the streak in practically every area. The only downside I find is the note doesn't look quite as slick as the streak with its curved edges. But build quality has to be a million times better on the note. I've replaced my screen 4 times on my streak, which is really bad imo. Seeing as I've never once broke a phone screen in my life till I got the streak.

So I should dump a perfectly good working tablet and shell out $700 for and extra .3" and a slightly faster processor?
If I had no device at all the Note would be a good choice but what exactly does it give me over the Streak that's worth seven hundred bucks?

Ah!...yes...back in a bit...
So my dog decided to chew on my nexus and the screen is cracked from top to bottom and is unresponsive to touch...
Have any of you had any luck with finding replacement parts? All I have found was this guy and it just seems pretty sketchy to me... I also found replacement backs which I will probably get.
www.dfwpcrepairs.com/google_nexus_7__tablet_screen_repair.html
Have no problems doing the repairs myself just need the parts first...
I wouldn't trust the website, the cost of the screen repair is very high because asus have made it so that the LCD is glued to the digitizer making it cost a hefty $160 for Asus to repair it themselves.
Also I cracked my nexus 7 and sent it to knowhow coverage, they told me that it is impossible for them to get their hands on a screen.
Instead they're reviewing the problem and giving me a £200 voucher for currys and PC world.

Alright so I just need to stencil the ASUS logo then spray paint it on my dog?
Cool!
Guess I will wait a little bit and what comes around for fixing myself. May email ASUS and see If I can pay them to repair it (doubtful) or worst case senario I just buy another one.
Thanks Guys
I have been looking for Nexus 7 parts just in case something happens to one of my Nexus 7's and I couldn't find anything. ASUS will repair a broken screen for $170(US). It might actually be cheaper to buy a 8gb Nexus 7, harvest the screen and sell the rest of the parts on ebay. You may end up getting it for free if you can sell everything else off. The battery is Worth $40, The 8gb logic board is worth $99, front facing camera is $15, I/O cable(charging port and headset jack) is $15, Speaker is $15 and the charger is $15.
Is the bezel (silver lining around the screen) part of the screen also? Does that mean if i were to replaced a dented bezel, I have to replace the whole screen?

Unfortunately it is.
info
I just spoke with Asus eStore.
http://www.service.asus.com/infopage.aspx?rid=7#!consumer/csn9
Their web site lists nexyus 7 but has no parts listed.
http://us.estore.asus.com/
The person I spoke to said they do not sell the replacement screen and it would be via repair only. I was told the parts store will probably only carry chargers and cables.
I managed to get the part number of the screen it is: 90R-OK0M1L11000U (that is the letter "O" imediatly before the "K")
They had no record of who the (3rd party?) manufacturer of the screen is.
I strongly suggested they offer hte screen as a part for direct sale as the repair cost is approx the same as a new tablet, so not worth doing.
I STATED THAT THE PRESENT RESTRICTION MAKES ME QUESTION BUYING FUTURE ASUS PRODUCTS.
If enough people complain we may push them to sell replacement screen parts from their parts store.
The screen is made by Hydis model # HV070WX2. I still have not been able to find someone that has them in stock. There is a site I found that supposedly has 5k in stock for wholesalers.

would this by any chance void the warranty? my back pocket managed to crack the screen on one i JUST got from RMA. at this point i wouldnt mind buying a new one and keeping it around till replacement screens are actually plausible.
The screens are just starting to show up on the market. They are $160+. Almost easier to buy a new 8GB instead of a new LCD/Digitizer.
I'm hoping the price comes down with competition, but at this point there isn't any competition there's only few limited sources.

ASUS will service it for 202.00, ie: motherboard. They won't sell me a motherboard. They won't repair the one I have. Say they're not for sale, can't sell. I might as well just buy a new one. Last ASUS product I'll ever buy.
i would wait to see what they do with the 8GB with the discontinuing of them before buying screen. Like someone else said, use one for salvage if it is dirt cheap

If you're looking for a motherboard you can pick up cheap as-is nexus 7's on eBay all day. I bought one with a broken screen that 100% works. The crack is at the top near the camera and does not extend into the screen. I got it for less than $50. I know how lucky I got, I feel like I won the lottery.
You can get them as low as $30. Not bad to use the motherboard or even spare battery. Even the back case is worth that almost.

Yeah, I caught that. Only two on Ebay when I looked. $31.00 and 9.90. So definitely the route I'll be going.
Nexus 7 screen cracked
My nexus 7 32gb screen has cracked & I was wondering if any other screen would fit or does it need
To be an original cos of the digitiser?
I have not found the part I need for mine, boo! I need a usb slot for the damn thing, my son was playing with it and left it on the floor, little to no surprise, he was excited and walked away, came back and stepped on the cord part charging it, so now it wont charge.. the internal usb is all screwed up, its just on a little board that looks like its easy enough to replace once you get the board to replace it with.
@hazard1nc: Here ya go, seems to be a really good shop for replacement parts.
I'm going to buy a new mainboard and speaker for mine there
http://stores.ebay.com/Positive-Dreams-Electronics/
There are some usb/audio replacement boards, I think that's the one you want
Still wondering, why the usb/audio boards are so expensive, but this is normal, didn't find a cheaper one yet.

£399 for the 32GB? Ha sorry to break it to you buddy but that's highly unrealistic. We are looking for at at around £500 minimum for the 32GB. Just to give some context, the iPhone 5 is $649 in the US and £539 in the UK. Yes, I know Apple and Google/Motorola will have different pricing conversions, but the £539 is a ballpark so don't expect anything significantly lower or higher.
At £399 I would have definitely bought it, but £500 is too much. I'll be keeping my 5.
Well the price is decent, gotta move with the times, usually can expect another ton (£100 for you non UK'ers) added to a price of a new phone every year here in the UK
It'll be £450-500. That's cheap when you look at the Note 4 in CPW is now at £650
gsm arena have a "leaked price"
gsm arena have a "leaked price" of the nexus 6 and 9 from a German retailer, the price is in euros however

The Nexus 6 will be available in two color and storage options. Both the 32GB and 64GB models will be available in black and white and will retail for €569 and €649, respectively.

using google to convert the prices are as follows:
32gb €569 = £456.76
64gb €649 = £520.98
if true this is a shame because if it was £400 for the 64gb model i would be all over it
Yeah looks like no eating for me a while so i can get Nexus 6....
i needed to go on a diet anyway......
hi guys
considering that 649usd converts to approx £407, I think it will suck if it isn't £400 for the 32gb, which him happy to pay, I know that the n5 price in dollars worked out different to what it was sold for in the uk but if its £450 im going to be annoyed but buy it anyway.
Ive got a lg g2 and a htc one m8 to sell which will cover the cost nicely.

I'm guessing £450-500. Doubt it will be £400 because there has never been a direct $ conversion price.
I am just checking that phone will be fully compatible with o2/tesco 4G network ? Thanks
Price & size doesn't bother me.. I've been waiting for an amoled screen since the Galaxy Nexus!

US prices don't normally include sales tax so we would need to add that on top (20%), so closer to £480.
Still tempted, going to be a big upgrade from my 16gb Nexus 4
It's all down to what it's like size-wise as well. I had a OnePlus One and I thought it was too big and this is larger. Not by a lot, but it's still larger. That could be a clincher. Price isn't much of an issue, although if it's more than the M8, S5, etc. I think Google might struggle. It's impressive, though, and I can't wait to see one in the metal
I think I'll wait until I've tried Lollipop on my nexus 5 before I get onto thinking about a new massive phone. I like the idea of the size, but the Note 3 and iPhone 6+ just seem comedy big to me at the moment as I came from an iPhone 4s to nexus in April.
That said, I quite like the looks of the Droid turbo - massive battery and a 'normal' screen size.
I don't know whether to go for the Nexus 6 or 9, at the moment.
I'm leaning more towards the N9 right now considering I've got the M7 and Note 3 as phones already (albeit using the Note 3 as a tablet replacement) but I guess I'll be waiting to get my hands on them both before deciding.
Either way, it's about time I joined the Nexus world again since I haven't been here since the N7 2012
looks awesome,
the specs are up there with all the latest flagships or above,a shame that it does not have chip varients would like to have seen say the 64GB version shipped with a snapdragon 810 + 4GB ram...just for awesomeness...and maybe a DALEK bodyguard for when you pull it out in public...LOL
Verizon 64gb with two batteries. New screen and fresh developers flash, new speaker. Basically new phone tempered glass installed with extra glass. Spiegen hybird case blue as well as 64gb SD card. Oh and see view folding cover.
Just trying to get an idea if I decide to sell.
Oops typo it's got 32gb internal 64 gb external. Oh and please let's not turn this into what phone ate you getting note 5 bashing thread.
I don't think a case or a screen protector really adds any value to a sale unless they are new in box. You're really only selling the phone and the extra memory is a little bonus. Who wants to use a used case or a used screen protector that has somebody else's greasy fingerprints embedded in it? Let's be honest, memory cards are cheap anyhow. That being said, it's a rarer phone that is hard to come by and you are including two batteries. If anybody is paying more than 700, They are getting ripped off. I wouldn't pay more than 600 if I were in the market for it.
Of course, if you're listing on Swappa, you have to up the price to cover the buyers fee, the shipping and the 2.9% Paypal fee. So add that to the dollar amount too. (For examples, my regular Note 4 is listed on CL for 55 bucks cheaper than it is on Swappa.)
Ok $600 for just the phone and batteries. I do have to disagree with no value for memory card. If the person doesn't have one they CERTAINLY would need to buy one. Just my thought.

True, but it's not like they are that expensive. I paid ten bucks for a 32GB Sony Class 10 Micro SDHC. I added mine in and did word it like it's a great bonus hoping that whomever buys it will agree and not just look up the price on Amazon. LOL
I wouldn't give more than 450 for a DE. I pick up perfect condition note 4's the last 2 month's for 300 and 325. As weak as verizon development is I couldn't picture 6 and 700 for a used, abused and repaired Note 4 DE... just saying even if it looks new, but have replaced speaker, and being a De, it's been worked and not been babied And I agree with the other guy, cases, screen protectors don't mean much to most. Also if you research you can pick up class 10 64gb cards for 30 to 35 bucks. Hell, I picked up a SanDisk 128gb for 80.00 a month ago.
Just my 2 cents!
Ok we got $600 or $450 without the goodies. Average $525 so far.
I'd do 450 because I'd rather have the note 4 than anything else new or old today. But it depends on the buyer, and how much they're willing to spend on a year old phone with no official support from Samsung or indie devs
I have a DE, but if mine broke, I'd honestly pay up to $800 for another one mint

I've seen several Developer Edition Note 4s, mint condition, going for $750.00, if you can find one...$700.00 for good condition and both for phone only, no case, so SD and no extra battery.

If I was in the market for DE I would go as far as $600 for a mint one. Even that is a bit of a stretch for a year old phone with little support. I'm happy with the phone I currently have and have no desire to downgrade but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.
Unless the retail gets root the VZW will not see much dev support. The dev edition would lose it's value if the retail got root. I say it's time to sell your dev edition while it's inflated value survives. With the Nexus and LG phablets coming soon the N4 will soon be a outdated and forgotten phablet. Timing is everything.

Interesting perspective, but the value is there because it's a supported device for android 6.0 with everything you could possibly love in a phone. As long as the resale value will be above $400 for at least another year, a DE holder should still ultimately profit or at least break even by not purchasing a $600+ phone this year and seeing what the next wave brings.
You need to check out the last page of this thread.
Look at all these people trying to lowball a guy offering to sell a Note 4 DE.
Meawhile this guy threw his up on Swappa for $1100.

If OP sold his N4DE for $500 or $600 he literally had it stolen from him.
