You think this a bad? Just wait until the ota is announced how many stupid threads pop up. How do I get it. It won't install. Need fully stock and locked bootloader. Oh and if you tap on update now 23 times while sitting on the toilet and 235am you will get it. Worked for me!

Google has decided to do a social experiment. Once the Nexus S section of the forums goes 24 hours without ANOTHER JB thread they will release it. So I guess the answer is never.

Jelly Bean 4.1 and the Kandy Cane
I installed Jelly Bean 4.1. from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764119 and so far I am really please with this update and i am looking forward to the official rom and then the many variations of the rom, that many developers create - AOKP, CM10 etc.
After I installed this rom, I wanted to bring up the Jelly Beans - go to - settings - about phone - then tap the version 4 times quickly, then up pops the jelly bean

- then you just press and hold the bean and then up pops the animated image, with all jelly beans -
I did notice a Kandy Cane, floating amongst the jelly beans, I wonder why???????
Can this possibly indicate that the next update maybe - Kandy Kane. Or will we see the next major update around Christmas possibly. I just thought I'd ask what everyone thinks. I am curious

Jellybean 4.1 Released?

Just got an update for my Netflix app in the UK. The update says the app is now compatible with 41 (Jellybean).
Has it been released? I hadn't heard? If not released, why/how can Netflix be compatible already??

It depends
It really depends the difficulty to move from android 4 to android 4.1 . I am sure Samgsung will assign some team to investigate the difficulties of the porting . Based on my experience , android 4.1 had some not small changes on low level stuff which may not make the porting easy to go .

Thread for discussing/begging for CM10 Jelly Bean

They thought CM9 couldn't be ported to the Epic 4g, but a valiant corps of devs has done amazing work and gotten every single major feature, including 4g, to work in cyanogenmod.
Now that android 4.1 has been released, it is only natural to ask if it will be possible for the Epic 4g to keep up with CM10 when that is released, and to talk about the prospects and excitement of that idea.
Let's do that here, and not in the discussion threads for CM7 or CM9.
Please read forum rules before posting or making threads

My coding experience is limited to MatLab so since you develop correct me if I'm wrong. JB is version 4.1 so since it is not a full step up and we already have drivers that work for 4.0 CM10 will not be as difficult as CM9.

Hrmm...the low level tweaks they've made in project butter concern me, in regards to whether or not the hummingbird SoC can handle it. The UI is going to put even more strain on it than ICS, and I feel ICS is already borderline the max/slightly passed what it can handle....I suppose we'll see though.

Also, for the person who asked about a change log, or something to that effect... the update from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 was a good one (imo!) Got a few new welcomed features, the keyboard has been redesigned, it has Samsung's latest TouchWiz UI for the G-Tab! Overall, I have NO complaints! Personally, I just hope that Jelly Bean is on the horizon for us! Truthfully, i have high hopes that it will be! This is a fairly new tab and is more than capable i think!

[Q] Need Just TWO Screenshots

Hey
As you may or may not know me frm the One X forums, but I like designing home screens, and you can find my latest and all either in the Home screens thread in the Themes and Apps section, or on MyColorScreen
My latest there is a home screen that mimics JB 4.1 Notifications, found here
As you know, Google has released Android 4.2 JellyBean, and has implemented Native QuickSettings. Presented with a challenge, I'm going to try and mimic those Notifications too, but I'm gonna need your help. My device currently does not run JellyBean 4.2, but yours probably does, so here's what I need:
1) Download an app called 'Notif' from the Play Store
2) Create a few notifications with it, of various types
3) Take a screenshot of the notifications with these Notifications present there.
4) Take a screenshot of the Quick settings.
That's it, just 2 screenshots, of would be preferred of provided in Full Resolution (DropBox etc)
Thanks a bunch folks, hope to hear from some of you soon

HTC has been very quiet about HTC devices that would receive some form of Sense 5.0. But a leak has come up for the HTC Speedy! Apparently Sense 5,0 has been slimmed down enough to run on devices with the S2 processor. Unfortunately devices like the OG Evo will NOT be supported.
HTC did not include Beats™ Audio, and Boomsound , Along with HTC Zoe.
It has received features such as
All new redesigned Sense UI
HTC Blinkfeed to view all your news sources at a glance
New camera options
Jelly Bean 4.1.2
The zip provided below has the full update. I have removed the bootloader and recovery img's so that you are able to keep your unlocked bootloaders and custom recovery's in tact.
Flash in recovery with the file on the root of your SD Card
Please flash under your own warrant as I do not take any responsibility for what happens to your device.
This is also a follow up to last years leaked OTA thread that can be found HERE

I won't be updating or messing with this so it is just going in General section. Devs feel free to base off of it.

To bad it'll take HTC 8 months to release the kernel source.
