Where are the notfications sounds located? - Kindle Fire General

Hello-
I am a newbie here, but have been working with Kindle Fire's since December 2011. I like some of the sounds that the KF ships with to be used as notifications and would like to use them on my other phones. However, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out where the KF stores the darn things! Does anyone know where they are stored or can point me in the right direction? I am rooted on version 6.3.1 in case that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance,
wws12

Thanks so much! It was driving me nuts that I couldn't find them. Now I can use "In The Hunt" on my phone!

i am inviting all (well there will be a limit to the fire code in the building) to either get your g1 rooted or watch, learn, and (if anyone knows to screenshot a g1 while rooting) ROOTING a g1 with crc1

the place = Kirkland WA.
the bar = can be a bar, or maybe my works atrium (if they allow it). (right off the 405)
the bar im thinking of should be a decent (empty due to the time) place w/lots of room..
if my job allows us to use its place..it will be pretty cool.
the people...
we are not developers, but very close, just g1 users and some have a lot of experience. and many g1s have been unlocked by us..and we have extra SDcards too....
will bring our (windows and linux) laptops and lots of chargers too.
my new g1 1.5 firmware w/the crc1 will be the guinea pig.
please email me

adt..android dev. tools
Run ddms in terminal, it opens an app, go to Device/Screen capture.
Root CRC1 G1 Party
Hey
I can not get to the party Because I live in Berlin!
But it was very nice if you could make a YouTube movie .
No offense to the OP but if you don't know how to get ADB running (and call it ADT to boot!) I'm pretty sure you should probably stay away from rooting people's phones because they are going to be pretty pissed if you brick it even if you think you did correctly.
Just my 2 cents....

i love learning something new, and then streamlining it, or even just getting better at it.

Masonry at it's finest, Sierra Beautiful Foothills Brick

It is with great humility and panic that i request the god's to bestow upon me the greatest of the Beautiful Sierra Foothill's treasures of the two.two variety. I too have been taken captive by the new bootloader's key's. Is there a gentle soul willing to help one in need.
in all seriousness i can find much less expensive paperweights, any help would be extremely appreciated. ill be looking at that PM box.

Did u try the /system 2.2 "SBF" with RSDlite 4.8 on mydroidworld.com?
It works as long as you did not update to the 2.2 OTA, and THEN try the 2.1 SBF first.
Unfortunately, i was tinkering with the 2.2 OTA, botched it and was recovering to 2.1, hey I've done it about three hundred times, no big deal right. *sigh* I also have tried the partial image to no avail. I'm pretty much toast unless someone takes pity upon me.
I can play the "OTA killed my phone" routine at Verizon and exploit their internal memo but i would rather be able to fix my problems and stay under the radar. no reason to become a statistic supporting why moto wanted to keep us out anyway.
on the bright side i finally got a user name for the XDA forum. Always carrying the name to remind me not to be too quick to do things. Measure once and cut twice right...
Edit:
the droid 2 uses the OMAP3630 chip as well. Does anyone think the hardware is similar enough to use firmware from the D2?
Edit2:
thank you for the quick response.

I would stay away from the Droid 2 firmware, imo.
yeah, but what i do i end up with a more bricked phone
there's only one step down from motobrick as long as it's not on fire i dont think i've gone to far back. i probably wont but I've literally been searching for the sexy beautiful fantasy since the first post... I'm determined the closest I've found is a dead RS link.... i wish moto would supply me with the tools to fix my phone without costing them money and my time.
seriously though the Droid "Motobrick" model is sweet...
sleek sexy and just enough to hold my physics homework down... seriously that what its doing right now... that ampad paper likes to fly away.
edit:
well i dont think ill find a valid SBF on the internets so i might as well try before i try to bring it back to Verizon... i called a random store asking if they the SBF on site and the tech on the phone... well lacked the required knowledge to be of help. I'm sure they wont have the wherewithal to know what happened to that poor droid of mine . I'll let you guys know how the droid2 flash works and/or the Verizon visit

[Q] Needing help finding a noob guide..

Hey guys and gals of XDA, I'm new. My name is Brandon, I have an LG G2. And I have some problems. My first problem is I have a D803. (canadian)
I will tell you guys in short what I want and would appreciate it GREATLY if ya'll could help me out.
1 ) Acquire noob guide to CustomROMing, recovering, and all that gibber gabber. I rooted my phone because it was extremely easy and debloated it using Titanium backup already. I literally have NO idea what i'm doing, I've tried to read through guides but I always get stumped considering i'm using a d803 and the backup program thing didn't recognize my phone.I'm not asking ya'll to sit here and pour all your knowledge to me, just a link would be cool. Although if someone wants to do that it'd be appreciated.
2 ) I want a Nexus5. But I want my G2, physically. lol. long story short I love the stock google feel of a nexus5, I've tried launchers but I can't find any ones that have transparent bars. So, instead i've stolen the nexus background and emulated the look as much as I can. I'm having a hard time finding any support for the d803 that has the Nexus 5 look , Hoping ya'll can help me on that. I found a Paranoid Android one but I don't know how to actually get it onto my device so I gave up.
3 ) More of a question; If I succeed in custom rom'ing my phone, do I lose all 'normal' G2 functions? As in Quickmemo, Slide aside, Knock on, etc? Quickmemo is extremely important for me as a tech salesman being able to write down SKUs real quick and not all over my hands is awesome. But I would be willing to part with it. Knockon, not so much.
More info that may or may not be relevant:
>D803
>Debloated using titanium backup
>Rooted
>32gb black
>access to a computer
So, in closing, I guess i'll sum this post up in a word. Sorry. I seen the intro video to XDA and about how im the devil if I ask a question that's been asked before, and I know this probably has. But it doesn't have the info i'm looking for. Anyone who can just throw me some links in one consolidated place so I have a set starting point, information and a goal, gets a gold star from me.
Thank you for listening to me. Appreciate any and all help in advance.
-Brandon

^^ I've noticed the 4.4 roms are advancing at a nice pace for the G2, give it some time.. I tried some of the earlier 4.4 builds that I couldn't deal with the instability, but I've been running one of the later ones for the last week with very very few issues, so the best of both worlds is hopefully, rapidly approaching.

[Q] Rooting a Galaxy S 5 purchased via Docomo in Japan

Hello XDA Forum,
I just purchased a Galaxy S5, SC 04F, from Docomo in Japan, with Android version 4.4.2.
I would like to root it, primarily to get rid of all the bloatware that can't be uninstalled. Also so that I can use Titanium Backup to carry over apps and data from my last phone (A Galaxy S2), and maybe some other things.
At first it seemed like this might be super easy. I saw that it was possible to root a phone using the "Towelroot" app, so I downloaded it and ran it, but it says that "This device is not supported". It seems to only work for phones offered by Sprint, Horizon, and maybe other carriers.
I looked around, and if the Towelroot approach can't be used, the situation seems to get complicated, which brings me here. I saw some mention of possible ways of rooting the phone, but there was some mention of losing features, like the digital wallet ("O-saifu"). However, it was unclear, because some information was in Japanese, and while I can read some Japanese, the combination of technical jargon and Japanese goes beyond me.
I'd like to get a concise answer, if possible, on whether or not this phone can be rooted, and if so, are there any possible down sides.
If anyone can help me know what the options are with this particular phone, I'd be very grateful. Thank you for any response.
Have you tried this?

It took me a long time to get around to this, but I just did it, and it works great! Would recommend it to anyone with a similar phone.
Thanks for the help, kind internet anonymous stranger!

Complete noob, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Alright so I had been using a Note1 for a little over three years, I'm in Canada and just upgraded to a Note 4. SM-N910W8 v4.4.4 currently. I haven't done much with it since I got it a week or so ago. I'm really unimpressed with some of the stock stuff that I can't get rid of and so I'm wanting to root it. One of the things I want to get rid of is the Facebook app because I don't like how many permissions it requires. I can't actually remove it from the phone, only disable it etc...
Anyways I'm wondering what else I can get from the Note4, I'm really unfamiliar with Roms but I think I get the basic concept. Anyone willing to explain it to me with the notion that I'm pretty much a complete noob?

If like You're saying, You are a noob, better stick with the stock rom. Besides, read the forum and You'll see what You can get
To get rid of stock apps You need root (CF-Auto root to find in this forum) and (my preferred way) Titanim Backup, from where You can uninstall whatever You wish.
Well I'm a noob to this stuff, but I feel like I'm fairly good with technology in general.
If I was looking for a light weight and easier to get into rom, do you have any suggestions?
