Would bet we will get an update. Much like the prime got ics after having honeycomb.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
nice and hope soon we will get update to JB
I'm pretty confident we'll get support for a long time considering the 300 has identical specs to the nexus 7.
Of course we are getting Jelly Bean. I´m almost sure that it will be the next half year
Positive aspects for this are
- First Tablet comes from Asus (Nexus 7)
- Quad Core (fast enough)
- enough RAM
- Correct Resolution (1280x800)
- Very new to market
So i hope i will be right ;-)
Think postive!
I have been impressed with the speed that asus updates its devices. Coming from being a Samsung user.
How long did it take for the prime to get ics
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
I believe the prime received the update around the end of December.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda premium
I would be slightly surprised if the prime didn't get JB. I would be shocked as hell if subsequent models didn't get it.

i think the xoom will get JB first, and then all asus transformer tablets, then others.... because google already announced the xoom will get jelly bean with galaxy nexus,
28/06/12: We asked an Asus spokesperson for the details of Asus Jelly Bean update plans and got the following response: "No comment. But you know our record for being first with Honeycomb, with Ice Cream Sandwich and our urge to bring the best to our users."

Jelly Bean 4.1 and the Kandy Cane
I installed Jelly Bean 4.1. from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764119 and so far I am really please with this update and i am looking forward to the official rom and then the many variations of the rom, that many developers create - AOKP, CM10 etc.
After I installed this rom, I wanted to bring up the Jelly Beans - go to - settings - about phone - then tap the version 4 times quickly, then up pops the jelly bean

- then you just press and hold the bean and then up pops the animated image, with all jelly beans -
I did notice a Kandy Cane, floating amongst the jelly beans, I wonder why???????
Can this possibly indicate that the next update maybe - Kandy Kane. Or will we see the next major update around Christmas possibly. I just thought I'd ask what everyone thinks. I am curious

androbench has a macro test which is a real world test. and it does random and sequential read/write tests.
further, even if you would boost the tegra3 to 2,8 ghz, the transformer line will still be slow due to the internal memory.... thats why the IO should be tested better... not only here but also in all reviews of top-sites like theverge etc..
alright I ran the benchmark and i can see what you mean. I will post pics later on tonight with the results which are not really good. It would be nice to compare results from custom roms against stock to see if any improvements were made.

unfortunally custom roms do not improve this much. custom kernel and other IO scheduler (SIO) improve it slightly . the problem persists and must be solved on kernel/driver level. else i think its a hardware issue.

Actually I'm not. I've just got some of the ROM tweaks turned on. I'm guessing that did it but not positive. Was just notified by Best Buy that my Sandisk 32gb class 10 was shipped today and I'll have it in 2 or 3 days. I'll turn it up to 1.7GHz then and see what kind of benchmarks I get . I've seen high read & write speeds from both the Sandisk & Transcend cards I have. Hopefully the new card is the same way and will give higher speeds than it's rated at.
