i can undesrtand your problem dude.. ihave just suffered it from.. your motherboard is blown up now it is needed to be replaced with a new one.. now no one can help you asap go to a nearest samsung service centre to get it fixed.. good luck
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
His motherboard has not "blown up", but it is possible that if he was flashing from a stock rom, wiping and flashing a new ROM triggered the emmc bug. Thus resulting in an 'unusable' internal storage chip.
If this is the issue, only way to fix this is to take it to a Samsung service center (there are various 'alternative' methods out there, but non of which are guaranteed).
Best of luck!

This is not always true. It can sometimes affect the recovery partition as it is a PARTITION of the eMMc chip. Because the error causes a bad block on the chip while calling upon the firmware to format a region of it, the affected block can render the entire chip useless (unless one were to come into possession of some of Samsung's proprietary tools to fix an issue like this; in which case, would fix the chip).
andreww88 said:
If your phone is "superbricked" hard brick, then a JIG won't work because it damages the eMMc chip.
Even if the JIG gets you in download mode though, if Odin fails at factoryfs.img or NAND write start then it will still be bricked.

P.S. The eMMc bug is also known as the 'superbrick' bug
Because of this in many cases one cannot even revive their their note using a JIG. Therefore it must be sent in for a MOTHERBOARD replacement (seeing that the emmc chip is soldered onto it)
Please search the forums for "superbrick bug" for more information.
Please be more knowledgeable before attempting to correct somebody..

What are bad blocks and how to clear them??
Sent from my HTC HD2 using xda premium
Bad blocks usually refers to very small parts of your internal storage that are broken and can't retain data properly anymore. You can't fix them and can only let the system store the data somewhere else by reflashing.

Well, if you don't specifically check for bad blocks with tools, you won't know that you have them until you flash a rom. One of the symptoms of having a lot of bad blocks is that many fully working roms don't work (doesn't boot, or lots of errors) on first try, despite following instructions exactly.
The only practical solution is to flash roms a few times to see if the problem is because you did something wrong, or the rom really doesn't work.

^What he said, and sometimes the ROM simply won't boot on the normal partition size as it can't write to these blocks, so you'd have to increase the size of the partition in order to boot a ROM.
Ok so now i understand it

Hey dude, I need a binary of badblocks for armv7 in android, how could I get it?
Hard bricked my note yesterday trying different roms.
Took it over to Samsung Service Centre today & got it fixed in an hour.
They changed the whole board for free as its still under warranty.
If not it would hv cost me Usd 140.
My Note was stuck on the boot screen & refused to load any rom.
So no worries happy rooting as long as its under warranty
Now i m back rooting again, dare to take the challenge & all risk that come with it.

Glad to hear Samsung changed it for free.
But I think it might not free on other country/area, if they check the counter.

Was on King Droid ICS Rom & wanted to try out Rocket Rom, so did
- download Abyss Kernel 4.2
- put zip-file on your USB-storage
- boot in Recovery
- Flash Abyss Kernel 4.2!!!
- boot back in Recovery (find it under 'advanced')
- now FullWipe!!!
- Flash ROM
- reboot system
-...you are done
But kabooooommmm nothing got stuck on start up screen
Went to recovery did factory reset still nothing
Than lost recovery mode
Than went to download mode try to re instal with Pc Odin still no go just got stuck loading with Pc Odin
So today, went to the Samsung service centre & boom new board & fresh ics loaded & now happily rooting again lol
But most important never tell the service center u were busy rooting your phone when it got bricked.
Just say "was doing ota update & phone rebooted & got stuck in download mode" that's if u don't have any counter & it still shows official firmware

2) Not blaming any rom or kernel in this forum
3) I know the risk involved

6) Read my post clearly, no blame mentioned to anyone & i wiped after it got stuck not before

number of things could be wrong
1 - bug in rom
2 - bug in kernel
3 - faulty power button/hardware (although would normally see phone switching off in other areas too)
4 - you are holding the power button by mistake when talking (unlikely though)
best thing is to do what has already been mentioned - flash stock rom via odin - that way you can eliminate the top two in that list if it still happens

Hye guys, I bought note 2 from malaysia. Been using it more than 3 month then my phone constantly freeze and one day, it brick overnight while I leave it to charge. When it turned on it just stuck on samsung logo. Hard reset is undoable as it only show "Downloading" in the recovery while in download mode it just as it is. My phone is completely stock, no root ,no flash ,nothing, just stock. So I try to flash through odin but it always fail with "no pit partition" no matter what firmware version I use, another usb port ,another computer is brought up the same result. The phone can charge fine with red light indicator and battery animation. Does anyone with the phone have the same symptom and manage to fix it?Im in uk and cant rma as my phone is malaysia only warranty from SME?
