My 300 has been finicky with tegra games but after I activated the purge assets and the other setting to increase virtual memory in settings it has been great just thought I would share.

[Q] hbogo vs maxgo browser

Maxgo has always been great in browser, but hbo go starts at a crappy res then peaks at a super hd at 1 fps the after 2 min or so levels out and play at a propper hd lvl. Have you all experienced the same?.

Dungeon Defenders FC

I'm getting an instant FC on the tegra 2 title Dungeon Defenders.
Presently running Clemsyn 22a and Prime 2.02 wandered if anyone else with this combo either had FC or succesfull running of the game.

I've played DD many times without FCs. Did you do a manual install? if so did you make sure to download the right package designed for Tegra 2?

3d games you play?

Hey guys, after successfully overclocking to 1.7 ghz, with I have been on the lookout for a 3d game that might challenge this processor. Any suggestions?
Also, I'm trying to determine whether or not the gpu was overclocked with the ts alpha 96 kernel I flashed? I'm assuming no.

Check out Dead Trigger, it's free and pretty awesome graphics.
Most kernels aren't overclocked by default.
Right, I had too use the trinity app to actually overclock. What app would i use for a gpu overclock? I'll try dead trigger

Try Asphalt or Temple Run
Dead Trigger is a good choice. Any THD optimized game should heat up the device just fine.
Try E. Warriors 2
Download the tegrazone app which features all new tegra games

Nova3 or shadowgun thd are the most graphic intense games out now. or mass effect infiltrator. dead trigger good but its graphics wont tax system as much as those listed oreviously.

Tegra 3 graphics

Any way to enable the extra settings in something other than dead trigger?

you want physics (physix) like in nvidia pc games, you require an actual tegra but for many games you don't , see link below, haven't tested it myself

chainfire 3d injects the modules between the game and phone to make tegra run on normal devices. he unfortunately dropped support,
No. There is no way to just "turn them on" Those modules are written specifically for tegra 3. Let's say you got the tegra 3 .apk of dead trigger or the boat racing game(can't remember the name) the apk would crash upon starting because its not written for our processors. The s4 wouldn't know what the hell to do lol.
Chain fire is an option but like he said, no support anymore.

So how does it work for those two games only?

In the end all mobile 3D games are atm _only_ using OpenGLES2 as graphics api. So every game could run on every phone with a powerful GPU. Sometimes it is as easy as just changing config values like in the unity based game dead trigger. When investing more time during development you can optimize your game for special GPUs: Use api extensions to speed up performance or to make the graphics look more nice. Use special texture compressions for performance and memory footprint, use special and or binary shaders, etc, etc. All this leads to the game is only running on a special GPU with the provided resources, but this happens only in the last step during development and doesn't mean that any game is heavily/only optimized for e.g. tegra. It's only fine tuning to compensate their moderate mobile GPU design atm...

Modern Combat 4 Performance

Hi. Yesterday finally i can make this awsome game to run on my ouya.. But i feel this game not running well. I buy the moga pro controller but the game performance is not good. How i can get better performance of this game on ouya?
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
I dont think that the game has been optimized for quad core yet. Never the less I know the 720p hack helped performance out.
I've been running this game on my nexus 7, which is running the same gpu, however the ouya os is not fully tweaked, when custom kernels and roms start to flourish, there will be more game compatibility and better performance

You can download the Trickster Mod app from the Play store and set the governor to "performance" and it runs a lot smoother.
The game plays smooth on my Excite 7.7 and TF300. Both Tegra 3 devices.
