If anyone is interested in instructions, please let me know.
Currently I'm in a middle of exams period so it may take a few weeks.
But I'll make it if to popular demand. :good:
Please, could you write it for me now?
HI Elia. I'm interested in hearing how you got the fonts working. I seem to have Hebrew in some places (such as Opera Mobile) but not in others (Ankidroid). Did you just replace the extant fonts with fonts that have Hebrew glyphs? Is there anything else that needs to be done?
Thanks!

i would like to get advise on enabling hebrew on nook simple touch
Me Too
I just downloaded The Scriptures 1998 version and would also like to know how to have the Hebrew words displayed. Currently, my Nook HD is not even showing the letters, just boxes.
you need root, rename your hebrew supported font to an existing android font and replace it in system/fonts (make a backup before)

First of all, I'll go ahead and apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge.
I purchased a usa tmobile hd2 last week. I was told it could support THAI language. (purchased the phone for my gf)
But, once we took it home - it was not an option. Figuring this was one of the latest phones.. I haven't returned it yet!
however, I have no clue on how to start. I've been reading tutorials but so far.. nothing makes sense.
So my question:
Is there a simple way of adding THAI to this phone?
?
what do you want your phone to do? do you want all the language on your phone to read thai or you want to be able to just read your language in certain programs like e-mails. also do you want to be able to input in thai???
please be more specific
^ korean flag.. I'm also korean
anyhow.. figured it out. (somewhat)
found a .cab file that allowed "thai" to be an option under language/region settings.
so, my gf can now read emails from her friends.
Now, I installed a thai keyboard.. but when you send texts or emails, they show up as "?" marks.
Ideally, I think my gf would prefer the entire phone to be in thai
whole phone

just type in language support in the search engine

Im new to the whole Windows Mobile world and having serious issues with adding keyboards, fonts, etc... Ive always had Blackberry and im used to using and modding that, figured it was time to move on and got the HD2 and now im confused as hell! Can someone please post links, how to, to download the HTC IME keyboard? Also how to add fonts? this is really irritating.. Ive searched and searched and still cant figure out how to get the keyboards and fonts on my phone ... Any help is greatly appreciated!
Any1???????
Just curious, but where did you find the buttons and such? Posting link-backs will give us a chance to see what you are talking about instead of trying to guess.
Did they not have instructions on how to install them?
Did you perchance download the versions meant for chefs, that are designed to be cooked in the kitchens and not installed directly?
Also, for me, please refrain from big caps in your post title when asking about such matters. Let's leave that for the folks with bricked phones, k?
While we are on the subject of etiquette, posting a bump less than 24 hours after your original post is a wee bit pushy. Especially when that bump doesn't say "Bump"
So hit me back with those links and I'll see if I can help you a bit.

Adding fonts into WinMo is much the same like WinPC. Just put it into \Windows\Fonts directory.
But on further reading and 2nd guessing what you are trying to say above, it appears that you want to be able use that installed font when the keyboard is activated. Is that correct ?
Isn't HTC IME keyboard already available in the HD2 ? Or are you looking for different language input ?
FYI, I had a bad experience with trying to add Traditional Chinese input capability when installing an extracted HTC Ezinput IME from another stock ROM. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611894&page=2
State clearly what you are trying to achieve so that others can help.

Actually, this forum is for people to help people. Voluntarily. As in, for free. When you ask someone for help, it is generally considered a good idea to adhere to certain protocols, such as being polite and thankful for what help you do receive.
Now, since you obviously are not interested in my help, I leave you to the graces of others. I am also adding you to my ignore list, since you decided to call me a "smartass". Good luck to you.
Zen, Thanks for the reply! When i connect my HD2 to the PC (running on Vista) i cant access ny Windows folder on the phone for some reason, so i cant add a font .. No, the HD2 does not come with the IME keyboard. I am just looking for a English version to download for a Windows device.. If i google it, everything comes up for a Droid.

Was you phone connected via ActiveSync or "Disk drive mode" ?
I can't remember off my head but one of them - I take my bet on ActiveSync - will make Windows folder inaccessible. You could have copy into "My Document", remove phone from PC and then move it again via File Explorer.
I still don't get the part about HTC IME that you don't have . What it the ROM version you have ? Go to Start > Settings > About Phone > Software Information. Post the info.
There is Swype, Finger keyboard in the forum. Search for it.
Gotta go offline 24-hr in the next 15 mins or so.

IME stands for Input Method Editor i.e. on-screen software keyboard.
I am using QQ pinyin input which allows me to input Traditional Chinese. The option to select HTC's default IME, which is called Ezinput, is still there. I do not see the need to use HTC IME since QQ pinyin input has all the capabilities and more. Since HTC IME is in the ROM, I can't remove it either without flashing a cooked ROM.
So how do you type/input text into any apps ?

To make the windows available you need to have your PC set to show protected files. On a side not please watch the swearing in the forums.

You want something like in the screenshot.
That's the QQ input I talked about. No, I don't think it is suitable for you since you do not require chinese input.
Let me dig around. Just keep watching this post.

Yes sir, Exactly like that 1. How do i go out installing that?
Take a look and consider:
Fingerkeyboard2 v2.1 (freeware)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122
Resco keyboard (commercial)
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/keyboard/indepth.asp
One thing, I wish to point out is that the version date seems to pre-date WM6.5 actual release. I came across one software which allows for Chinese input, released in May 09 but had read forum complaints about paid users who was not able to get it to work on WM6.5 and that software company acknowledged it. I finally settled on QQ input although it is still in beta which I normally would not even consider installing.
Perhaps try out Fingerkeyboard2 first since it is free and also, you can post questions if the need arises.

So you're screwed. Bring it back. It only has German. No possibility to switch to another locale, no matter how hard we try to understand you.
i understand that this could be a solution yes.
but i was thinking maybe somebody knows if i upgrade to 3.1 with usb host cable....maybe that would work?
and also since that 3.1 rom image is taken directly from google, shouldn't void my warranty right?
i am waiting couple more hours for more opinions maybe someone here can help me!!
then i take it back to the store
i can tell you this thing has ruined my user experience ...a lot!

I think it's to early to tell if the 3G Verizon 3.1 image might work on a German 3G Xoom. If I were you I would trade it for the Galaxy Tab 10.1v. They should be available in Germany by now. It's a perfect Honeycomb tablet and will support English. (You need to double check this of course in the store)
Good luck, take it easy
thanks appelflap!
i have an update for those who are intrested in this... just called motorola germany, they speak english, and i asked them if this is a policy of motorola or it will be available in the future.
motorola support told me "no no no, no way its our policy" and by next official update i will definately get english. they said its just because its the initial release of the honeycomb thats why... i asked them when the upgrade and they said they dont know and they prefer not to speculate.
oh well... should i believe them? i still have 14 days by german law and also according to the store policy to take it back so i figure i just wait a little bit...
galaxy tab 10.1 might have been a very good option ...if it had hdmi and microsd, which is important for me...

Only works if they have built in the locale translations in the Honeycomb system. Could be working for english because Honeycomb is original in English. Don't see why they have hide the English locale though. BTW it will not work for the keyboard.
With such a switch you ask apps to look for translations. Apps need to provide the translations though.
everything is in english now. keyboard also, skype, google maps, android market, everything in english.
i selected us english in the MoreLocale2 app, even though in the settings/ language options i still cant chose other than german, which is so weird....

That's great. Congratulations. Now if this only could work with dutch
Very strange they decided to hide this locale option on the German Xoom.
Well this is great! It also works with the Galaxy Tab 10.1v for Dutch. The translations aren't finished yet but it's working, sort of. Now I won't have to wait till they release the translations here in the Netherlands.
Ha! Now I don't have to return the Tab and can I sell the Xoom to my neighbor
Thank you!
Hey guys, I tried posting in the miui development thread but I guess I don't have enough posts under my belt and I figured this is the next best thing. I'm currently running miui 1.8.26 and starting from 1.8.15(I think) The korean font on all of my apps shows up completely broken (just rows of squares). Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, all the forums etc. The keyboard comes up, though one of the letters is a square, and I can type. Can anyone think of any fixes for this? I also posted in the miui forums but it's not nearly as active as xda so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Thanks,
JiHo
Any help??
Yah. same here. I installed Revolover 2.5.1 in Asus TF 101. I am really loving it and you guys are awesome. but, there is an interesting thing is that the korean font set is only broken among othere major asian font sets such as chinese, japapnes, Thai and so forth. anybody can take a look into it? I am not a developer but it seems to me that there was a codepage error for korean at the final compilation...? ^^;
Asus Transformer 101
I am not sure what program you installed to type and read korean. I don't use korean as much so it might not help. Have you check your settings?
Hi everyone,
I have a big problem, i don't know what happened, but suddenly the hebrew disapeared from my samsung keyboard. As usual, when I want to input hebrew text, i swype the space bar to switch to hebrew. And two days ago i had lost my hebrew keyboard and all was left was english(US) and french.
So I checked out the languages in the parameters. I still have the hebrew in the menu languages, as well as in the speech recognition from google, but it has disapeared from the input list of the samsung keyboard. actually I found it back in the trash of this list. So thinking I could restore it by downloading it again from the server if it was really deleted I emptied the trash, sadly nothing happened, no new language to download when updating from the server.
Has anyone got a clue ?
I guess hebrew is flagged as deleted somewhere in the parameter files, so it is no longer proposed to download.
Btw, my phone is a Galaxy S4, of course, GT-I9505 JDQ39.I9505XXUBMEA Android 4.2.2 rooted.
Thnks in advance to anyone who might help.
