These are symptoms of demo phones. You should probably return it, considering these are not sold to the public and the defects (burn in screen) do not disappear in time.
Sorry to bring you bad news, mate... You can also check this thread.

Touch HD Dead Pixels

I've read reports of several people receiving their Touch HD with dead or stuck pixels.
Perhaps new owners would be kind enough to post the following information :
- Do you have any dead or stuck pixels, if so, how many (please post even if the answer is "none", to get a realistic view.
- How many defective pixels would you regard as "acceptable" for this device before it should be returned for replacement ?
Thanks in advance,
- Steve
I've seen 5 devices, all without dead pixels. And I think the standard is that 3 dead pixels are acceptable.

Hi i got my german verison yesterday.
-Stuck Pixels : 2 (Staying white all the time)
-None, as this is a device which depends on its huge screen. But on the other hand, has got a small one compared to something like a 22" display whioch also has mostly none dead pixels or max 1 or two
beside of this: when i switched to camera mode, there was an area of around 2-4 pixels which stayed white all the time. not a dead pixel, more like a problem with the camera sensor (maybe dead sensor spots?? )
Good thing: went to store and will get a new device at monday

What version have you got? english, german?
if you just bought it, go and try to get a new one!!
As far as I am concerned, one dead pixel is unacceptable.
I only had this problem once (on an iPaq 3970 PDA) and I exchanged it.
I agree. 1 dead pixel is not acceptable for a £500+ phone. Would an online retailer accept it as a fault to return it for another one or is there a rule like with PSPs where a certain amount is possible and natural?

Being an electronics designer, I understand the challenge of producing a flaw-free display of such size. Unfortunately, perhaps for the same reason, I would find even one dead pixel most annoying, especially for such an expensive device.
The good news is that under the UK distance selling regulations, if you buy it over the internet within the UK, you have 7 days to return it for a refund for any reason, providing it is returned exactly as received. It should be borne in mind that some suppliers impose re-stocking charges if sealed software discs have been opened, so read their terms and conditions carefully first !
But how do you return it exactly as received?
You have to break the seals on the box, tear open the various plastic bags containing the battery etc. Deplete the battery ever so slightly etc.

See the Office of fair Trading Guide for businesses on distance sellling :
http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/general/oft698.pdf, especially section 3.58.
Basically, you need to be allowed to try the goods. Makes sense, eh?

Which is the problem with Distance Selling ! I would tolerate one dead pixel - preferably in a corner. I remember my Nokia 7710 didn't come with dead pixels but after about a year there was one - which was acceptable given its age.
The good thing is, the HD doesn't have seals on it until Orange puts them on. XD
So if you're getting it from a website, good news! No tearing to be done, lol!
So can people who already own one confirm that their boxes had no security seals on them please.

Test them?? You will see them when you start your device.
dead/stuck pixels are pixels, which always stay black, white or another colour.
when i got the device already saw two white pixels when i switched the device on first. (you have to look closely because the pixels are small) but they are desturbing especially when the screen is it what makes this device special

same with me. never had any dead pixels on a phone or pc monitor. that was the first time. why did it have to happen on such agreat product?
any way, i was able to retrive it and will recieve another one on monday
any new device with dead pixels??
Hi Guys,
Today i recieved my Touch HD from www.2call.nl
To add my 2 cents...
- No dead or stuck pixels on the device
- For a device at this price I'd assume that it went to thorough testing.
therefore I would consider 0 dead or stuck pixels as "acceptable".
- The product box didn't have a security seal.

no answer???
I am no pro with screens, So i may be wrong, but it looks like it has been either burnt or had an impact with a sharp object in that area of the screen, return it for a new one, hopefully they will replace it.
Looks like the LCD definitely needs to be changed. It looks like it's burnt or either a reaction to a magnet but I'm not quite sure what can cause that. Costs can vary but directly from LG will cost you parts+labor+shipping. Check if that Orange spot still register when you touch it.

Options: Send to LG to get it fixed (probably costs more than $100+ depending), sell it as is and get another phone (won't get as much for it with the spot) or keep it and use it as is since it still registers touch (spot might be a little annoying).

hmmmmm :c you are probably going to have to replace the screen yourself (cheaper) or live with the yellowness
I've got some yellowness appearing along the top right of the screen. Its barely noticeable but its likely to get worse over time.
From what I can tell, it seems to be related to heat/warmth. Its winter here and after a walk outside, the orangish patches pretty much go away. They appear more intense when sitting on my desk next to my laptop (right near the vent).
Same problem
Same thing here... Same location and same color.

[Q] Galaxy LCD Connectors

Gang, I have kind of an odd question and don't know where else to ask.
Does anyone here know if the LCD connectors on Galaxy phones are universal? I ask because I have a Note 3 with bad LCD. The owner has pics on it but it also has a 4 digit lock. They don't want to spend $200 on a new screen just want the pics.
Basically I just need a screen connected long enough to unlock the phone and get the pics off. I see this as my only option unless someone here has a cracked screen that still works they would be willing to sell/send to me.
Thank you!
Chris

I don't think so.
I had the same problem and for example the connector of S3 is longer then the g7102 one.
And they could have different coordinates of touch screen

Am into same problem with my note 3. Cracked screen from falling. My pics show crack lines with purple shades...
Having searched over eBay, amazon, aliexpress, most frequent results I get is Note 3 Rear Camera FLex Cable - Dont know if this consists of the camera itself, seems it does...

On aliexpress I believe I got the camera module:
