My friend bought a note 4 and after 16 days it began to get purpilish-black splotches that looks like spilled ink on the screen. He brought it to ATT and they tried to tell hi that the screen was cracked (it's not). This picture is what it looks like today (about 20 days after purchase and 4 days after it began to happen). Any clue what would cause this? Any help would be appreciated because ATT is not trying to help at all.
I guess I should mention that his blutooth was having issues since he got it, and sometimes when he'd call people they wouldnt be able to hear him.
I feel as if this is a faulty device, but ATT isn't having it. They keep trying to say he did something to it. The phone is only 3 weeks old, never mishandled, never wet. What could this be?

would that be a factory defect?
Hard to say, I doubt they will accept it under warranty
Regards
Happened before on my note 3 after i dropped it. It will only get worst until the entire screen will become black.
It can happen even if the screen is not cracked. Odds are it's the result of the device being mishandled even unintentionally.
Looks like a simple fake.
I wouldn't accept it under warranty, that thing is a mess! No way it happened "on its own". Maybe he was frustrated with the bluetooth and call issues and he threw it against a wall?

Your friend should ask the ATT guys if its was really due to mishandle such as drop or thrown away, they should be some dent or scratch on the phone body. If ATT guys can not find the defect of body dent or scratch, then ur friend have a point there and should can claim under warranty..
I have this flickering problem few days ago, and it looked like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q49Yf7inuiw
I think the cause is the heat. Been searching all posts/thread on Google and many says it's the motherboard and/or the connectors to the display.
So can somebody tell me where to buy these part? Where I can trust the seller? Thanks!
Really sad this happens to my G2, I've never thought it will be this weak. My old note 2 and S4 heats like the G2, but it survived many years. Really can't believe that this is happening to my G2.
Btw, the first problem before this is having yellow spot on the lower right corner of the screen and I think if you have that, stop making the phone from heating cause the next problem will be the flickering which starts from the bottom also.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I changed the screen but the problem still there. I read the problem is with the motherboard. Now I have to buy a new phone
UPDATE
I just noticed when my phone is at extreme warm, it does not flicker -_-
i know this is a software forum, but maybe someone can help me. the internal lens on my note 3 cracked when my kid dropped the phone.
when i google it all i find is the lens cover (http://www.amazon.com/Original-Came...F8&qid=1435169167&sr=8-8&keywords=note+3+lens)
everyone told me thats what it was so i bought one and replaced it and my pics still have crack lines
any help is greatly appreciated
ty!
Am into same problem with my note 3. Cracked screen from falling. My pics show crack lines with purple shades...
Having searched over eBay, amazon, aliexpress, most frequent results I get is Note 3 Rear Camera FLex Cable - Dont know if this consists of the camera itself, seems it does...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Back-Rear-C...638?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33a4c1b266 any clarification appreciated.
On aliexpress I believe I got the camera module:

Let me have your feedback if you going forward to purchase.
Thanks

Hey guys, I have a little problem concerning my G928F. I bought it 2 months ago along with a Clear View case. After a month and a half i noticed small scratches on screen caused by case. I understand that samsung offer to change it for free, but my problem is that i kinda droped it after getting case off, and now i have screen scratched by case but also it have a little crack caused by me. Is the screen change free in my condition?( I have found about the free screen change 2 days ago sadly).

My phone's status is become custom. How I get ota updates ? thanks
Wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. The other day I noticed that in apps with a white background color, I would have horizontal pink lines on the screen, sometimes vertical, too. It drove me crazy enough that I went to the Samsung service center close to where I live, and the guy flat out just told me that the screen needed to be replaced. I didn't leave the phone with them because I kind of need it, but I will have to eventually.
Weird thing is that there are no dead pixels - all the pixels are fine and went through the pixel test with no issues.
Anyone else experiencing this? Pretty frustrating since I got the phone less than 2 months ago.

Hey I think I might be having a similar problem, it started to happen yesterday and about a third of my phone is now constantly turning pink. If your problem is like the one below then let me know and I'll keep you informed in what Samsung say when I contact them later today
Just realised I can't post links yet but the images are here imgur(dot)com/a/YBA5o
Same thing started happening to me a few hours ago.
Definitely a hardware fault.
Mine was purple smudges and washed out, sent out they replaced the phone, its a hardware/factory defect.
Yeah definitely a hardware problem. I took a screenshot of the pink and sent it to my computer so I could view it there, and the screenshot was absolutely fine and pink free on my computer, so yeah, hardware problem like the people at Samsung said.
Just sucks that I can't get a replacement unit because I am over the 30 day period. That is just bull**** if you ask me. The phone is still brand new and doesn't even have a hairline scratch on it.
Sorry to necro this thread but the same thing happened to me again, after the screen was replaced the first time. Now it's gone in for a second time. I think this is a pretty well known issue with certain S7 Edge productions. Really even scared of the Note 7 now because I believe it's happening because of the edge panel.
2nd phone with the same issue, 1st time they replaced the phone for brand new, now the same problem... it happens only on s7 edge duo?
Past 31st I bought the S7edge black pearl version. When the Samsung sales executive unboxed and switch on those pink lines were displaying. I was shocked to see those. Immediately they asked me to wait and replaced a new one. I waited for an hour there and browsed my phone completely so that there will no major disappointment.
Just shared this incident on seeing this thread.
