Amazing headphones - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

So had the s3 for a few days now but only tried the headphones a few hours ago and I gotta say I'm amazed at the quality. It has very nice bass, which I've never had in regular headphones before. I've always had the cheap 5-10 dollar headphones and I never knew how good they could be. And these come with the phone!
I was playing league of legends with them and sound effects sounded amazing. I'm guessing that's why people buy dre beats? Except this isn't overpriced, paying for the brand, headphones.

Yup, easily the best in box pair I've used...ever I think.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2

I actually thought they sound worse than the ones that came with my original galaxy s, and a LOT worse than the high end UE's I normally use. They're still decent for a bundled accessory, but they're nothing to call home about. Just my two cents.

I don't like them at all

Ones that came with my Captivate were really good and used them up until a month ago when they walked off from my desk. Now I've got some Klipsch s4a buds and am highly impressed. Picked them up for $60 from Sonic Electronix, which was about $30 less than everywhere else.

If you want some really good headphones on the cheap, you can't beat these for the price:
http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics...&qid=1340712998&sr=1-9&keywords=meelectronics
And this is coming from someone who also has these:
http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AHD2000...F8&qid=1340713391&sr=1-1&keywords=denon+d2000

I know these are going to be a bit pricey, but trust me its worth it. (ive tried other ones in the same price range , these are the best that deliver in every category)
Delivers bass (but not to the point where it drowns out the music), delivers sound quality and clarity like you havent heard before (but you can hear every other element in the back and still have bass)
it hurts to listen to music with anything else
Ive owned the previous version of these (530), and since 2008 ive only been pleased.
Currently i have the 535 (latest version)

i knowwww, but ive tried using even the 100 dollar bose ones, and the 100 dollar shure ones.
regardless none deliver like this one.
the way i looked at it was : im always listening to music, always at my desk, always using headphones. Why not get something that will MAKE me want to actually sit and do work and enjoy it. And plus whats the point of paying 50 dollars every couple of months cuz the headphones broke? These have a warranty and every year i send them back and get new ones and that warranty gets extended.
its worth it.

Are you a meelectronics user yourself? Nice! I am too, but I have the M6P's with the built in phone controls. I have yet to find a pair of IEM's that cost twice as much as these that can compare, certainly nothing at this price point or below.
http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics...hones-Smartphones/dp/B003VTZPO8/ref=pd_cp_e_0
And the eartips can be swapped out for the "marshmallow" type, Comply T-400's, commonly found on JVC Marshmallow IEM's.

If we're going to toss in some high end IEM's, I'll throw mine in the circle as well.
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-IE80-Headphone/dp/B006EK9J9S/ref=pd_cp_e_1
If you like hip-hop, trance, or anything that needs a good quantity of solid bass. These are it.
If you like really wide soundstages. This is also it.
It has a screw on each monitor you can turn for more or less bass as well.
As the Head-fi saying goes, sorry for your wallet if you decide to get either, but your ears won't be sorry.

LOL, this is gonna sound dumb but, I bought some ear buds from Big Lots the other day for 5 dollars. They were impressive. As long as I don't try on a good pair to compare, I'll be good.
That said, the GS3 comes with a pair right?

perfect way to say it (headfi)
i had these , and as you said, for bass intense it will be these, i ultimately still ended up keeping my shures, felt they were a little clearer
but u cant go wrong either way. :good:

I can't wear in-ear phones for more than half hour.
How can you guys do that?
I use Audeo PFE.

My go-to earbuds for a couple of years now have been the Razer M100, now called the Moray:
http://www.amazon.com/Razer-In-Ear-...hones--Black/dp/B001HN6PBM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8
They show up on Woot every once in a while for $15 a pair and I get 3 and give a pair or two to friends and family. I've tried a lot of earbuds over the years, and even at $30-40, these are about the best-sounding ones I've found. They isolate outside noise well, have really good bass response, clear sound overall, and the small size makes them easy to wear without them getting knocked loose.
Definitely worth checking out if you're shopping in that price range.

+1 for Comply. Have them on my Super-fi 5 Pro's. Very comfortable but you have to change them out every now and then when they get too dirty.

At my desk, I'm still using an old pair of Sennheiser HD590's open-ears through a Fiio headphone amp. For non-amped in-ears I've switched from my broken Shure's (which sounded amazing) to the still-highly rated Klipsch IMAGE S4's.
The Klipsch's sound really good, but they do have just a tad too much bass, but at least they're no where near the huge amount of bass that BeatsByDre gimmicky crap imposes.

New future owner. Phone coming next week. One question.

Hello everybody.
My name is Lorin and I'm an owner of a 2 months old HTC Touch Pro 2 and I'm thinking of getting the HD2 this week or the beginning of the next week.
I'll keep both phones because i like to have a physical keyboard but i want that huge screen and that speedy processor.
Anyway, i looked on xda for solutions to all the issues mentioned in reviews and by users and i found everything except one thing.
In this review (www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXV_-BUpLy4 , min 13:30), Trent says the speaker quality is really bad when the volume is at the maximum value.
I want to ask you guys if you have the same experience because this would definitely be a no go for me. I mean, the speakers on the TP2 are just amazing... and i know i can't get that on the HD2 but what i hear in the review is simply bad.
Thanks.
Very bad earpiece quality for me. Backspeaker audio quality is mediocre. There are too many threads with Polls. You can have a look. cheers.
it is bad.. HTC doesn't care much about camera and speakers.. dunno why! but ever htc phone that i have owned has these two problems.. i mean there are are very cheap Chinese phones (less than 50 bucks) which have excellent speaker than the ones on htc..
Thanks guys. How's the experience when you watch a movie? When high pitch sounds come in do you hear the speaker making funny noises?
Personally, I think the speaker is great. I have never turned it up to the maximum as at halfway its almost too loud anyway. At halfway I've found the sound to be crisp and better than most dumbphone's speaker. I've also had no problems with the earpiece either.
I think it depends on what batch you get. There seem to be some HD2s with a couple problems and others like mine that don't have any issues.

Agreed.
The sound on mine is good from both the front and the rear. It varies from phone to phone/user to user.
for me the speaker when watching movies an stuff is fine (the external one) but the one when makings calls.... very bad.. very bad indeed! but its still usable. and to be honest its not something i wouldnt purchase the phone for, no way. there`s just too many pro`s why you should buy it. if you get this phone.. you will not be dissapointed.

Yeah but what does take to produce good voicecall quality other than paying 1000$ ? We really payed to much for that device and we shouldn't be annoyed by such a silly annoying crappy earpiece.
I love mine, own an iphone 3gs aswell but its the hd2 that i carry round most.. love it.
Better than my old omnia hd
Coming from a 13 year Nokia history the earpiece is no where near as good, but it serves it's purpose.
I see (hear) no problem with the sound (speaker and earpiece) on the HD2. But I agree with those who think they got the "bad ones from the bunch". The speaker, the earpiece and a lot of other bits and bobs on the HD2 serve their purpose very well. If you want amazing sound I recommend you buy a Hi-Fi system. Good pictures - buy a proper 10 or 12 MPix camera. Recording video - by a proper, HD video camera. GPS - get a standalone machine. But if you want all-in-one with very, very acceptable quality, go for the HD2. Ah, stick in a proper Micro SD Card and you can also have thousands of songs and videos on the go! You really cannot go wrong with it

i agree. we should be getting outstanding!!! call quality for the price these things cost, luckily for me i`m on contract so i havent paid out the £500 or so they cost to buy. i do feel sorry for the people who have bought one and are having real problems with call quality though, it seems to differ with different people i`v noticed. for me its bad, but not bad enough to send my phone back. me personally, i can get over the call quality. i got the phone for all the other qualitys about it really as well, and there are lots!!!! making phone calls is waaaaaaaaaaaay down the list! lol (that doesnt sound right somehow does it! considering i`m talking about a phone! lol)
With my HD2:
Call quality is excellent, the sound through the earpiece is VERY VERY GOOD.
The rear speaker is very loud and sounds metallic (=bad) at max volume. At lower volume, it's good.
It's still better than most other speakerphones I know but not as good as the TP2.
All in all, it delivers what you can expect from a 600€ smartphone. Better than most others.

Dre Beats audio on SGS2...

Just a quick question.. It would seem this is mainly software that can be used on other devices? Is there any chance we could get this on our sgs2's...?
Please, mate, just look around. There's been 3 topics on this already.
Bottom line is it isn't possible, since it's for the HTCMusicplayer. And on top of that, it's just an equaliser.

I believe its speaker hardware along with the equalizer. And that means jack **** when you're using the headphone output.
And seriously, Beats are horrible and overpriced and you can get sound quality as good or better for 1/3 of the prices. We're not repeating the sentence for nothing, we know what we're talking about because some of us actually spend $500 and above just for headphones instead of ****ting it down on Beats.

Again, I point out the SGS2 audio output is garbage. I know you didn't buy the good headphones primarily to use with this (or any) phone. If anything, having any personal set of standards for audio quality will bring you great shame and sadness when you try listening to the sound that comes out of the 3.5mm jack on this device.

Sennheiser, beyerdynamic, both have models that thrash beats by dre for considerably less money, a well as models that will blow your mind (albeit for a price).
Of course, any good pair of headphones are also going to expose every flaw in both your music and the yamaha chip in the sgs2.

Techradar: S2 is one of the best Phones for Music

Techradar has announced that the s2 is the one the best phones for music in 2012 so far wich is suprising considering a lot of people were complaining about the audio quality. The other 6 are iPhone 4s,no surprise there,HTC sensation XL wich is kinda stange, audio quality is crisp but no expandable memory,Nokia Lumina 800,Nokia are getting there,Motorola Razr, the new one not the old flip one,Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman, shame about the rest of the phone and a Crapberry curve 9360,sorry Blackberry, nothing exiting what so ever about it,so there you are, whats everyone reckon to this then.
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/best-mobile-phones-for-music-2012-1051914
What are they smoking?
Even the 4s doesnt sound as good as the iPhone 4 imo as I've personally heard it.
Maybe in terms of features in Music, but not in terms of sound quality.
As for the best sounding phone in the market, it still has to go to the Galaxy S with Voodoo Sound.
And no, do not give me that Beats crap, I'm thankful that Monster and Beats are parting ways
Parting ways with Monster could only be a step upwards for Beats.
After close scrutiny of the article and further tests on my device, I can but conclude....
Bollocks.
My now sold iPhone 4 sounded better than my SGS2 in my ears. I don't know about the 4S yet though.

I have never seen a techradar article that didn't some some bollocks or bloody tosh in it.
They always seem to be totally wrong on random points, which makes them wonder if they even bother to fact check, for gods sake they say the HTC Sensation XL has a dual core CPU, where as its the same old Qualcomm MSM8255 **** as the HTC Desire HD.
Now the SGS2 sounds fine to me, but my ears are clinically bad (hearing aid bad) so I'm a poor judge of sound quality.
Lol at this article. My wife's i4S kicks the crap out of the SGS2 no matter what headset I use. Whatever techradar is smoking I definitely need some.
How did you guys noticed the sound quality difference between phones?
I thought the headphones that matters the most.. Like beats headphones that offers better thump..
Personally I don't really bother if this phone had a bad quality sounds.. It's still diamond for my ears

Things I listen out for are distortion, clipping, soundstage... everything really. But it all comes down to personal taste. Headphones matter, definitely. But I'd suggest the most important thing is the music file quality. Crap in = Crap out. Some torrent that was ripped from a CD via WMP at a low bitrate will always sound awful, no matter what you play it on.
Compared to a top-class dedicated PMP - mine's a Cowon S9 - the SQ is "bad". Inferior may be a better description. The same goes for all phones I've tried, the SGS with Voodoo sound is the exception - that's pretty close to my S9 soundwise.
I don't find the SGS2's SQ to be unbearable at all, but it could be better. For "casual" listening it's perfectly OK, especially with good phones. But for me it's definitely a loooooong way behind the last 2 iphones, the SGS with or without Voodoo and a couple of my wife's old Nokias.
It's all subjective though - can't stand the Beats myself but each to their own. You seem happy with your setup and that's the only thing that really matters.
"Techradar: S2 is one of the best Phones for Music"?
My a$$.
I'd rather take Jelly Bean released today for GSII.
Very simple. They were using an S1 with voodoo and thought it was an S2.

Even my 3yr old ipod is better for music...
And like everyone else on here who had a Galaxy S lasy year. Voodoo pwnd everything out there
AW: Techradar: S2 is one of the best Phones for Music
After I switched my good old Nokia X6 with my current SGS2, the first thing I noticed soundwise was that it could just not compare.
It's okay with headphones, but please don't try the speaker. It's just crap, and placed exactly where my middle finger goes while playing games in landscape mode, blocking the speaker. it's fitting though, just the right finger...
Sound quality and placement of the speaker is really bad!

I'm going to stick my head on the line here, and say that I don't personally think the SGS2 sounds all that bad. And to be fair, I would say I have at least some idea what sounds good as I was / am an audio enthusiast, I hate listening to music that has poor sound quality.
Having said that, the iphone 4 I had before definitely blows it into the weeds, but then I suppose it should, given that its an ipod touch that happens to have a phone built into it
But I would say that the SGS2 still sounds better than any HTC phone I've heard (although I've not heard the Sensation) - but it was definitely better than my old Incredible S, better than the Desire, and better than the Nexus One.
And I don't think there was a big difference between the original Galaxy S and the S2 either, although I never heard it with Voodoo, no doubt it is a lot better but I can't comment.
It is a shame that Samsung decided to use inferior components in the S2 though.
Also, another thing that rarely gets mentioned is out of the box, the built in music player doesn't support gapless MP3, which I find incredibly annoying. I know the likes of PowerAmp does, but in 2012 we really should be getting things like this sorted. The thing is with PowerAmp, is that it doesn't quite sound as good to my ears as the stock player (no idea why this should be though), and the battery drain is higher. Does anyone know if ICS fixes this?
Lets hope that Samsung rectifies these issues for the S3.

How did you guys noticed the sound quality difference between phones?
I thought the headphones that matters the most.. Like beats headphones that offers better thump..
Personally I don't really bother if this phone had a bad quality sounds.. It's still diamond for my ears

Beats headphones? are you serious. Beats are not any good for serious listening, they can be good for SOME music but in general they do not deserve their price tag.
Headphones are only as good as their source, you can have a $1000 headphone but if you listen to it with a Galaxy S 2 its only as good as $100 one

I would have to dispute this. All of the iPod touches before the 4th gen and iPhone 4 generally sounded mediocre-horrible.
Based on my experiences with various phones and my love for music, I would rank the phones in this order:
1 - iPhone 4/iPhone 4s - No modding needed and sound kicks ass!
2 - Galaxy S/Nexus S + Voodoo - Top sound and loads of tuning options
3 - Sensation XE - Beats audio makes a difference
5 - Galaxy S2 + Voodoo Louder + DSP - Much better than stock.
That's my 2 cents.... Ps Don't kill me for putting the iPhone at the top.... IMHO the audio kicks ass
My phone with Power Amp and Equalizer sounds absolutely fine ive never used the stock player on it's own so cant comment it's Power Amp all the way for me with Equalizer the sound is absolutely fine crisp and clear with good bass.

Like My S2, But Going Back to iPhone...

I have always had iPhones, but I was always intrigued to try an Android. A few months ago I sold my iPhone 4 because it was running really slow on iOS 5 and I was just wanting a change overall.
I bought a white Galaxy S2 I9100 Virgin Mobile phone, and unlocked it to use with Fido. This was easy! I researched everything there is to know about Android, tried out all the ROM's from Stock to AOSP to AOKP to CM9 etc. and all the different Kernals, modems etc. I've really learned everything I need to know to honestly say, I prefer iOS. My old iPhone was just a 4 but I have just put my S2 on Craigslist to trade for a 4S.
Here are some reasons:
Apps: The Apple Store has a much higher quality selection of apps, and I find that too many apps I used are just not available in the Play Store, and no suitable replacements or alternatives exist. While there are a lot of apps in Play, I find the overall quality lower.
Tweaks: I was always jail-broken so using Cydia, there was always a million tweaks and themes you can find to truly customize the phone. I heard Android you could customize even more but that's just not the case - the themes just change a few colors, but Winterboard Retina themes for iOS completely change the look of the OS. I had an Animated HTC Weather Clock Widget on my iPhone that blew away any widget available for Android that I've seen.
Smoothness: No matter what ROM or Kernal I have installed, Android is just jerky and inconsistent when scrolling and swiping, in comparison. iOS and any app installed on it always worked as smooth as silk and even though my i4 was getting sluggish, it still ran smoother than I have seen my S2 run.
Keyboard: No matter what custom keyboard I have installed on my S2, I am constantly making mistakes and the auto correct is completely wrong every single time, no matter what I add in the custom dictionary. iOS was much faster typing for me.
Email:The built in Email in iOS blows away everything I have tried on Android so far, and nothing has the features of it or ease of use.
Sound Quality: iPhone has an iPod inside of it, so obviously this wins in the audio department. Even with Poweramp or Player Pro installed, this does not even compare to iOS music player.
Those are just the main reasons, but I feel I just miss iOS and wish to go back as soon as possible. It's been a good experience with Android. I think there would be some things I miss from Android that I was never able to do on iOS.
On Android I can download Torrents! That feature is amazing right there.
On my S2 I can swap out batteries and add extra storage - that is a no go on iPhone and I have been loving the fact that I can just pack a few spare batteries and not worry about being close to a plugin all day.
Maybe I'll wait until the iPhone 5 comes out in September because I can technically get a new contract in September, but I am actually eager to switch back at this point. It's been a good couple months, but I just miss my iPhone plain and simple.
I'd love to hear peoples thoughts, especially those who have had both an S2 and an iPhone.
Lots of bull**** going on here I would say.
First of all you have to be kidding me when you say that an iphone is more customizable than an android phone... I have also had booth iphone 3gs and the iphone 4 and the soundquality when listening to music is not better on the iphone, no ****ing way.
But I have to agree with you about that the quality of the apps is better in appstore than in google play, but its getting better and better.

Well, the 3GS is significantly less overall than the 4 and especially the 4S so that's the not the greatest comparison.
Plus, the iPods certainly aren't known for their great sound quality. Most of them got a pretty high harmonic distortion rate.
The rest you said is mostly bs as well. I had both a 4S and my S2 for a while and finally choose the S2.

lol, well enlighten me on why the S2 is better? Maybe I'm missing something.
Each to thier own but..
- Play Store has just as many apps as iStore and is predicted to be twice as large in 2 yrs. (At current rate of growth) I find it hard to believe you didn't find a suitable replacement app for what you were looking for.
- You're restricted with what you can and can't do with Apple. They control YOU. They control YOUR PHONE. That I do not feel with Android and I do not like someone dictating to me what I can and can not do with the hardware I bought.
- You were obviously trying all the wrong ROMs and TWEAKS then.
- Keyboard, are you serious?
- What's your gauge for better sound? Are you saying songs sound better? How is that possible when both have a standard 3.5mm earphone jack? Change your headphones then? Encode the mp3 to 320kbps?
I too have had iPhone's up until I bought a HTC Desire with Android installed 2 yrs ago. I'll never look back.
Anyway, seeya... wouldn't wanna be ya

Are you ****ing kidding me?
No alternatives to iOS apps??Less customization?!?!??!
Apple as only got one phone(yes I know different models) Android got too many and that's the problem! not all Apps work the same on different phones.

Well I jailbreak my iPhones so Apple has no control, and I can truly do anything I want to tweak and customize the features of iOS.
I have tried all the "best" ROM's.
I think the overall sound was clearer and louder, I would listen as %70 and on my S2 it's %100 usually lol. And I used the same mp3's and headphones on both phones.
Oh and the reason Play Store doesn't have as good of a quality as iStore is because Apple check every app before it is uploaded to iTunes, Google doesn't. The apps on Play Store will only get better as developers get better. How can a developer learn if he can't even get his app on the Market because you got a bunch of power hungry maniacs running the business?
EDIT: typo hungry*

Not sure where you have been but it's well known that the Yamaha DAC on our S2 is less than stellar, while the DAC on iPhones have always been Wolfsons. That, and how the frequency response curve of iPhones have always been flat (a great plus for audiophiles who do not like coloured sound). Just because two devices have a 3.5mm jack does not mean the circuitry before the jack is different. I will happily concede this point to OP, as sound is the one thing Samsung really screwed up with the S2. It's the reason why I bought a Sansa Clip Zip.
As for the rest... Well, I used both an iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2 for about two weeks. Both of them belonged to me, so I wasn't sponsored or anything. I ended up keeping the S2. The walled garden of the iPhone does not appeal as much to me.

But not just he Apple Store, but Cydia or Installous etc allowed all the free apps and apps that weren't allowed in Apples store, and just overall the apps worked better. I didn't know what "FC" was until I got an S2 lol.
There were lots of Social apps in iOS to connect with local people and they are not on Android. A LOT of games etc.

Yes.
Quite correct and I would have assumed as such however, you think the average user gives a flying rats what DAC is used? Honestly an UNtrained ear would be hard pressed to find the differences you pointed out. I dunno but 20+ million people mustve thought something of the S2 or were we all "tricked" into it?

I agree the average user cannot tell the difference. Why do you think so many people bought Beats headphones?
For me the difference was day and night. I inserted my IEMs into the S2, took a listen and thought "God this is awful". But then again I'm a Head-Fier.
PS. If you don't know what is Head-Fi already for the sake of your wallet do not Google it!

The S2 is a great phone, I'm not trying to say it isn't. But some of my reasons like Smoothness, Screen Quality, Audio Quality, App Store is factual. And if you've never had a jailbreak iPhone and cydia, you can't tell me you can't customize iOS. THAT is ridiculous.

question about Beats By Dr. Dre - Beats Studio

will the Beats By Dr. Dre - Beats Studio work with the gs4?and if so do they sound good?just asking before i spend 300.00 dollars, thanks
Thats a roger on the compatibility.
Beats by dre uses the standard 3.5 mm jack for audio input.
As for the sound...my untrained ears can't hear a difference. They're solid in performance and quality certainly. People swear by them at my university though.
At the $300 price point there are certainly better options on the market. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's great (case in point iPhone ). That being said it should work fine with your S4 if you decide to get them

Before you spend $300 do yourself a favor and do some research on head-fi.org.
At least then you will be making an informed decision. Many less expensive options out there with as good or better sound, problem is most people won't know it because all they see is the "beats" logo and assume you bought the best.
Do you want great sounding headphones, or do you want people to THINK you bought good sounding headphones because of a name?
Beats and Bose two of the biggest rip-offs in music. The only one worse is Monster Cable.

Actually, Beats by Dre were manufactured by Monster up until 2012, so there ya go.
I'm really looking into the Logitech UE 6000's. Everything I read has been good so far. I currently have some Shure SE 215 in-ear monitors and looking to make the jump to a full size headset. The UE 6000's at only $180 are also a great value. If you have the extra money and want some Bluetooth love then look no further then the UE 9000's ($400) from what I've read. Logitech may not be known for their high quality audio but down that lead you astray.

I use beats studios with my s4 and note 10.1 and the sound is pretty awesome. Not tooo overpowering if you don't want them to be but if you crank it up and pair is with a good equalizer like viper it sounds incredible. Granted I got the beats scratchlesa and like-new secondhand at a fraction of the price so it may sound just a bit better than a $300 pair would but I would recommend going to an electronics store with your s4 and testing out the floor models to see which suits your taste the best.

Do a little research on Audiotechnica ATH-M50 headphones before buying overpriced Beats headphones.
They are better headphones (especially for bass-heavy music and sounds like video games, movies, etc) and cost 30-50% as much as Beats.
Yes they will work
Sound quality...LOL, beats sound like crap for their price. Those who think they sound good have never listened to a quality pair of headphones. They are for looks...and only looks, just like iPhones. There is a reason why beats are never in top ten headphone lists...at least in any top ten list from a respected audio site...
Like said earlier, AudioTechnica M50 are much much better...and cost much much less...and in my opinion still look good, and are pretty damn comfortable. I got mine for $120 (I think they are like $200 regular) on amazon...couldn't be happier...definitely sounds better than any pair of beats I've tried on.
Like others have said...do some more research, you don't want to be that guy walking down the street with a pair of beats thinking he's cool with "good" headphones while all the nearby audiophiles are laughing at your stupidity for wasting money on beats...
-just my opinion...as I do consider my self an audiophile
Look...beats are not in any of these!!! My ATHM50 are in quite a few tho... http://www.google.com/search?site=&...1c.1.16.mobile-gws-hp.QZ0mv46DVJE&safe=active

Like everybody else said, the only thing you get with Beats is an overblown name. They don't suck buy they are just way overpriced for the sub par quality. Get something like klipsch or koss. Much better choices and they won't cost you an arm and a leg. Also I have used to pretty decent cheapo skull candies before. I wouldn't recommend spending over a 100 bucks on cans unless they were custom in-ear monitors abd those cost about a grand hahaha! Also head fi is a good website like everyone else has been saying

This probably isn't the place to ask, but I will anyway haha
I bought the Logitech UE 6000 a few days ago and do like them quite a bit, but also liked the Bose qc 15 when I tried them in store. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the two side by side and only got to try the qc-15 for a few minutes.
Can anyone give a fair review on their impressions of the qc15 in regards to sound, noise cancelling and leakage. If you have any use with the UE 6000 to compare that would be great too
I can get the qc15 brand new for 240-250 w/ tax. Paid 173+$30 warranty + tax for UE 6000 (About $220)

Sorry, you are right. I didn't read everyones posts. Just the fact that there is adults that are asking about beats kills me. I work for best buy and it drives me nuts to hear people thinking they are quality. beats are mostly supposed to be used with other BEATS devices; its just an EQ setting. their quality, sound, ergonomics, and value (to real DJ's and audio techs, whom i work with) is laughable at best. sound isolation isnt much different than other OTE units; most of that depends on how loud your music is lol.
Sennheiser HD 25-II for audiophiles for less, or Pioneer HDJ-2000 if you want bass and better quality/ergonomics.
i have both the Sennheiser HD 25-II and HDJ-2000; my GF has some red BEATS pro studios; for her its style; they stand out and match her car/lipstick etc. versus the HD 25 II's by Sennheiser and HDJ2000's, there is no competition. They are designed nicely, but not being able to comfortably use one ear without them sliding, and the fact they are CLEARLY worse aurally, i wont touch them. Other than bass, some $30 Panasonic HTX-7's actually have better fidelity.
