I am using an experia pro and since I have been asked to update my software version to 4.0.2.A.0.58 I started having issues with my phone. I loose the network connection . And i have to search for network everytime to place a call...etc. How can I downgrade to the previous version

..came here as i own a sgt for three weeks and this forum has provided great help for me in getting to know my device better and better..
..i am thinking of flashing my sgt to the most recent euro firmware, BUT it is
1) orange branded (purchased in austria/europe)
2) has fw BVJI3/BVJJ2 installed
3) and typing in the appropriate code it tells me that it is not network locked or sim locked..
..is it possible to flash this sgt to a newer fw-version (would i lose the branding..?..fine....) or do i have to be aware as it is running some kind of provider specific fw now (i suppose)..can i change from a provider specific fw to any other newer fw..?
..right from the factory i missed the music hub and the readers hub which i have installed now..they are working (but i miss zinio..tells me that the service is coming soon..and i miss the news..tells me the same)..which is one of the reasons i want to flash..
..have been trying to update the fw via kies but it says that the device cannot be updated (so i suppose there is no official update for it right now)..
..been reading a lot at sam-fw, but have not been able to get an answer to this until now..
..any help highly appreciated..thx a lot..

It is no problem. I flashed mine (Orange Austria) to P1000XXJM6 and no problem.
But you need to manually set the connection to Internet (APN etc.) as well as MMS.
Just one request: before flashing could you dump the rom? I did not make this and would like to have a copy just in case I want to revert it back to its original state.

I am in Australia have got an i9300 Galaxy S3 I bought from Kogan.com.au.
They source their phones from somewhere in europe, I think it may have been France, as a result I'm not sure what modem firmware I shuold be installing. I managed to connect the dots to upgrade to the version I am now on, but don't want to install the wrong firmware and risk bricking my device.
Current Baseband: i9300BVELK1
I am having extremly bad issues with the phone constantly freezing when I try using it, this appears to be a common issue with this phone. I had zero issues with it when I was running a 10.1 nightly from March this year, since upgrading 2 weeks ago I had to upgrade the radio to get the signal strength to appear, now the phone is buggered!

I have a Samsung galaxy s3 gt-i9300, well that is what i read under the batery and at the about device information.
So the phone was bought in germany, later got sudden death here in Greece and was services by Samsung Greece then i bought it about 1 month ago. All was good running everything, calling Cosmote by the way and then here comes the update to 4.3 from the phone it self...
1. Here comes the trouble 4.3 installed but not registered to network anymore,crap!!!
2. After typing *#06# i get 004999010640000 / 01 which IS NOT the IMEI of my phone.
So guess something went wrong during the installation process, what about now? I started reading a lot and got my phone rooted, got clockworkmod root explorer and other SU stuff, also installed some modem from a youtube video and yett my phone is not calling anyone, imei is not at its original state.

if if have an efs backup you can try to restore, but I think the only thing you can do is revert your phone to oringinal, and then bring the phone to the samsung service

Hey all, fairly new to these forums, so please move if this is in the wrong area.
I purchased a xperia Z2 with a custom firmware on it, not realizing that it would cause problems with updates.
I would love to be able to remove this custom firmware and just go back to the normal firmware, but I'm unable to find a "remove custom firmware" thread.
Would anyone be able to direct me to a thread detailing so, or perhaps just post how to? I would appreciate both the same.
The only reason I'm wanting to remove it, is because I'm having a few internet problems with this handset, with my previous z1 and the same sim card and provider (Boost AU), I had no internet problems, and always usually was able to receive 3g. Today as an example, I had internet access for about half an hour, and I would like to start diagnosing the handset with bring it back to a "factory state"

As the title states, I have just picked up a Verizon Galaxy S5 that was unlocked and have my son's tmobile sim in and working currently, and with the proper APN info also)
It is currently on Android 4.4.4 and I would like to update it to the most recent available software. My questions are:
-What carrier's software do i install? VZW? When i hooked it up to the pc i let it install the proper USB drivers, and it has said there was software available(it was unable to connect doing it OTA)
-Is the software it found Marshmallow 6?
-Will updating through the VZW app on my pc erase any of the settings that are already there? The unlock, APN, Apps, etc?
I bought this for my son who has killed 3 Iphones in that many years and his main concern is that he has Snapchat
I was able to find an older version that works on this phone as the most recent says it will not and he can't get it from Google Play, I dl'ed an old apk from somewhere online and got that up and running.
Any advice or pointing me in the proper direction would be greatly appreciated. I'm just coming back here after years away since i don't deal with HTC or Windows phones any more
