You don't have free space left on the SD Card, delete unneeded files.

[Q] Out of Internal Memory

i'm running out of internal memory on my tab (sprint). i haven't installed a lot of apps. i have more apps on my droid incredible so not sure how i filled up the 2G. maybe it's coincidence but it started going low when i installed clockwork mod. i verified that my backup for clockwork mod is in the sd card so that's not it. any other places i can start to look internally? i barely have 10 or so apps in here.
Maybe check if files and pictures are going on your sd card and not the internal memory.
Try moving some apps to sd card and see if anything changes.

yeah, i moved all the apps that possible to move to the sd card. i've taken only 3 pictures. i still only have 28M left. i guess it's time to check all the folders.
I'm willing to bet that as far as Clockwork is concerned, that 2GB internal storage is seen as your SD card, and the MicroSD card is sdext, which Clockwork probably isn't aware of.
That's the way it works on non-CDMA Galaxy devices (though all those have like, useful amounts of internal storage so it's not really an issue like it is on the crippled Verizon/Sprint versions).

sdcard help please.

Help please.
My sdcard is not showing up in in root file explorer or file manager.
It shows up in storage/system and when connected go a pc.
I've tried to re-mount and it didn't work.
Running CM7
Thanks
Have you tried re-formatting it in the phone, you did not buy a fake from ebay did you?
try run a full format in windows. To test whether it was corrupted or fake go to sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/2008/09/02/h2testw-14-gold-standard-in-detecting-usb-counterfeit-drives/[/url]
Check CM7 FAQs .

Its not a fake. I bought it at best buy and it still works fine in a pc, but the won't show files on it in phone.
Not sure. I checked the cm7 thread but couldn't find anything on it.
I'm at a lose. Tried reformating too. Nothing works yet.

You have not mentioned what brand and size your microsd card is, maybe it`s one that is incompatible, do you have another phone to try it in?
EDIT : do a full format in you pc, not a quick one, with the app in the link below.

I believe the post above was a cryptic way of suggesting you check /mnt/emmc which is where your SD card is mounted in CM7.

Try App2SD: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.infolife.app2sd&hl=en
Also, don't want to sound rude or anything, but don't create duplicate topics, ask for a moderator to move your old one.

I am sorry for that...i wrongly create that thread.
i use this app also...it is not supported my phone
What do you mean by supported? It didn't let you install it or it didn't work?
You could also try this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.krikun.s2e
But, CM10 is in a better development stage than CM9, you should consider switching to that. I have CM10 2ndboot builds and moving apps to SD is working fine.
Remember that not every app can be moved to the SD Card, that will depend on it's developer too.

Did you do a factory reset before flashing CM9? What is your total internal storage showing? If it's not 2GB total then you will need to back your data etc up (not NAndroid, use Titanium or similar), then boot into STOCK recovery, do a full factory reset (wipe data and cache), then reinstall your ROM, then reinstall your data from backup.

Hi
when i move my app to SD card via Titanium app..it is moving but after that it is still showing on phone memory.

Space issue

I have a 64GB SD card and have moved all the apps, pictures and Music/Video to the card
However my internal storage is showing I have only 0.96GB free.
Is this how it should be or is something wrong with my S4?

When u move app to sd card it does not move app data that remains in the internal memory only may be that's eating up space
Are u rooted ??

If u remove game data u will have to download the games data etc and all ur half game will be lost
But if u can root then there is app folder mount which u can use to shift games data etc to Sd card and free up space

Re installing may not be complete soloution as even in that case ur data will still land up at internal memory only
However u can try Reset once and re install all freshly u muyte get some space back
Rooting will be a solution it also has a little risk I suggest read more abt it google is your friend
Plus rooting will void warranty
If u are ok with that then mention the model number u are using will guide you to the proper link for rooting

Ok thanks.. maybe I should just root. I know how to do this already. Model is i9505.
Quick question does this stop OTA updates from working?
Maybe I should flash the latest firmware (MH8) via Odin, root plus reinstall everything

If you root your phone u will not get OTA
u can flash Pre Rooted firmware which will allow you to get OTA

No matter what u do for safety always have EFS back up and A nandroid backup this will save you

Scratch that then. I think I will just return the phone.
I just do not get why I have so much space taken on the internal storage. I have checked every app which I moved to the SD card and it shows sd card app and it sd card data for example Asphalt and Real Racing
Only the stock apps/bloat are using internal storage space.
