Hi guys,
Don't know if this is a known issue. I flashed jpm with odin, everything was working fine. But suddenly I couldn't play a music file, I checked if the file was still there on the SD but it was gone. In fact all there was on the SD, was: a dcim, a lost.dir and a .androidsecure directory. WTF! I decided to format the card and to just fill it up again with some music. And now it deleted everything AGAIN! WTF!
Really really annoyed here, anyone the same problem? Regards

Umm, I'm not an expert here, but don't you usually remove both your sim and sd card before flashing via Odin?
Never did that before,
I flashed jm8 exactly the same way and never experienced any issues.
Maybe your card is dying... Try using a different SDcard and see if the issue remains. Good luck

If the card was dying why would there still be folders in them.
And it is a little strange that it happens shortly after flashing

I've said that because I've had a Xperia X1 before and a 4GB Sandisk and I had the same issue... After I've changed the SD card nothing happened anymore...

cool will try, did it place some standard android folders on the card again as well?
Hi Im currently running wildpuzzle 0.7 and have an issue where the sd card becomes read only. un mount mount do not help, app can not have write access like camera for instance. Under windows file permissions appear ok.
Any clues?
Regards.
Problem resolved by connecting USB, using windows to check drive errors on card.
Thanks.
I would still love to know what may have caused it..........

dont think so pal, happened to me with stock card from phone :/
True, happened to me as well, and, only formatting the SD solved it. This happened to me using the stock card.
This happened when I was playing around with A2SD, and had created an EXT partition using ROM Manager. It worked well for a fe whours, then these errors started creeping up and I had to format it. Could be something wrong there....
could be a very noob question but cant find any solution... i just purchased a 32 gb micro sd for my evo... evo reads all the files n everything on it but when i try to flash a rom or anything from that sd card it says "cant open /sdcard/.... (bad)" any idea what this error is n why am i getting it ??? what am i doing wrong ?? i simply formatted it n coppied a new rom to it so i could start fresh but seems like thats not happening.. help guys....

Search google for a tool to format your card with. Most of the time you can format it normally as fat32 but youre actually supposed to format it them a special way

nop... formatted it from computer=no good, on the fone=no good, using a different software=no good....
Exchange the card it may be bad, I've held off buying a 32gb card because half of the reviews on Newegg for 32gb cards are negative and report failures or DOAs. Seems like the techs a little immature. Sandisk is the most reliable brand though.

Try scanning it from windows to see if it shows any bad sectors, you may have a bad card

I have this problem were the sd card will not take anything on it. If I place a new folder and a picture on it, it erases itself on its own. Or I'll put a album on there and maybe 5-8 songs might appear. I am running passion ics with a 32gb sd card. Just want to know if there is a zip that needs to be flashed or if this is a problem. Thanks for reading!

At first I was a little worried about using this program, but I ran it and it worked for about 2 hours. Out of no where the music that I was moving over kept disappearing and stopped allowing me to copy files from the pc to the sd. I tried formatting the card after that and I was allowed to put the files that were on there before formatting but nothing after that. Is there any other solution to this fiasco that I am faced with!
I have a similar issue. I haven't tried writing anything to my SD card, but it looks like its empty in MIUI and ES file explorers. I can boot into recovery and see that the files are there. Any suggestions?
