Really? An unreleased phone still doesn't have source? Do we need to dig up the captain obvious award? Who cares? I was happy for the GSIII community as a whole, no matter what carrier. Are you unable to see without your ATT fanboy goggles? Grow up. At least Verizon customers aren't trying to figure out how to cheat the system to get slower internet to save a couple bucks a month. I cant believe you actually went there.
To anyone else reading I apologize for him, he is still learning how to tactfully cyber-stalk people here. Next time try to be less obvious mmmkay?

I was hoping we can get a prayer chain started to pray that Sprint doesn't butcher the upcoming Galaxy S3 (or whatever they end up calling it)?

Anything but the 5250 processor, non-removeable battery, no microSD card. There, that should start off what they could screw up.
If they check those off on this phone, I'm getting it, without question.

What do you mean by this? The only thing about the One X better than the Evo 4G LTE is the processor. Everything else about the E4GLTE is on par, if not better than the One X.

From what I heard, Sprint and Big Red have an advantage thanks to their CDMA networks. Korean networks run on CDMA LTE, so...with a bit of tweaking from Samsung, we could *possibly* have the quadcore GS3 on Sprint
As for AT&T and T-MO, their networks are more complex to support as they have a GSM HSPA+/LTE and what not, something that isn't yet implemented and supported by the Exynos chip, or the Tegra 3 chip for that matter.
So in theory, we *MIGHT* get lucky with the Exynos. Again tho, take it with HALF a grain of salt

As one who really likes (needs) to have a physical keyboard, the big appeal for me is the 5th row of dedicated numerals. That was the deciding factor for me over the Evo shift that was available at the time. I would prefer another Samsung, and I would prefer an unlocked bootloader. But if something happened to my epic, and this was the only phone like this available, I would buy it.

So long folks, adios amigos!

Today I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. It's been fun following the MB860 thread, but since it looks like it won't get ICS or JB, I had to move on. Thank you to all who helped me figure out my Atrix 4G and special thanks to Epinter for his kickass ROM that IMO, everyone should be running. I'll see you guys around. Goodbye for now. :good:

You wont be alone cuz I'm not going anywhere regardless of ics or not. I've got 2 atrixes in case there isn't a better phone when my contract is up.
Bye soldier. It'll be quiet around here without your wisdom. I appreciate all you've done and I know you'll still be checking the atrix forum.
I'll be dropping this piece of junk come March. Going to support Samsung. Can't decide between GNex or GS3. GS4 might be coming out soon though.
See you in the N7 forums.

According to my phone call today with AT&T, I should be eligible for an upgrade today. If not today, this November. I'm so getting getting a S3 or the next Nexus phone sometime in the near future. Samsung has been getting their act together on updates on their phones unlike in the past.
Motorola can suck it with their $100 trade in offer.

Not leaving either, I got also a Xperia Mini and a Galaxy Tab to play around so the ICS wait is more tolerable. Also, I'll only move away for a GNex. So I'm waiting for the next one at a reasonable price...
Good luck with your new phone sir. I'm also leaving by tomorrow as my galaxy nexus arrived.

Sent from that Atrix... Motorola, where's my ICS?!
Sure.
The real felling behind those "goodbye folks" is "**** you all, losers, I'm going for the big game !" :silly:
IMO, mods should step in now and take all the goodbye threads and just join them into one big thread.

Yeah, the Atrix forum is pretty much nothing but goodbye threads and stupid ICS questions. And the occasional zombie thread because of maggedo's many alt accounts.
Well I'm still lurking around, but as you can see from my sig line, I have an Asus Padfone now. Love this thing. But I'll never let go of my Atrix-- it's serving duty now as my TV's "set-top-box" with it's HDMI dock and Bluetooth keyboard. Also since it supports USA bands, I use this when I go back to the States. I still hope it can get some ICS or JB love, but I dunno...

I know the Windows phones are the big question in a lot of Android users eyes these days but I have to admit the Note 2 is a demon and though it will be like holding a salami sandwich to the side of my head I can't ignore the specs which is why I got the GS3 in the first place. I will be watching but I think it's still too early to tell if I'll be racing to the store since the last purchase nearly made my car the bedroom.

back on topic, i am debating getting that or the one x+ if it comes out around the same line cant decide yet note 2 has a good lead though huge screen is right up my ally but pockets are getting too full to fast
I'd love it but I couldn't bring myself to rock it as a phone. Just too big.

The note 2 is a downgrade from the gs3 in terms of hardware. No way I'd downgrade. I had an international note and it wasn't in my top 5 best phones. I've had every high end phone too. I won't be getting rid of my s3 for one unless it has a huge dev community which I don't foresee.

Why is it we get the last of all the ports..
I think it's because the devs have the att and Verizon variants atleast we get it they could say f**k us
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Realistically, probably because T-Mobile will probably have the smallest buy base. But, in the end it shouldn't be too much of a hindrance given how close the T-Mo variant is to both the AT&T version, and the international version. The roms will come no doubt. Just be patient.

Thank god I have Jump.
It's because everyone else is locked in 2 year contracts. It will take time before everyone realizes how much better it is to go with T-Mobile.. I just jumped ship from sprint a month before my contract ends.. SO WORTH IT!
I like how when/if I pay off my phone in 2 years, my bill will actually drop whatever my phone payments were.. With other 2 year contracts, you keep paying the same price even if you don't upgrade your phone.. Ohhh I could go on and rant about the other carriers, but yes more and more hopefully will go to T-Mobile and start making some roms here.
