I was hoping we can get a prayer chain started to pray that Sprint doesn't butcher the upcoming Galaxy S3 (or whatever they end up calling it)?

Anything but the 5250 processor, non-removeable battery, no microSD card. There, that should start off what they could screw up.
If they check those off on this phone, I'm getting it, without question.

Doesn't matter how cool the phone operates. Even LTE speeds will prove how garbage sprint is. Verizon always keeps them under the wing. I hate it.

What do you mean by this? The only thing about the One X better than the Evo 4G LTE is the processor. Everything else about the E4GLTE is on par, if not better than the One X.

From what I heard, Sprint and Big Red have an advantage thanks to their CDMA networks. Korean networks run on CDMA LTE, so...with a bit of tweaking from Samsung, we could *possibly* have the quadcore GS3 on Sprint
As for AT&T and T-MO, their networks are more complex to support as they have a GSM HSPA+/LTE and what not, something that isn't yet implemented and supported by the Exynos chip, or the Tegra 3 chip for that matter.
So in theory, we *MIGHT* get lucky with the Exynos. Again tho, take it with HALF a grain of salt

Well if you're waiting for the SGSII, give it a bit. The one that has AT&T bands just went through the FCC only yesterday (March 11th to me). There is a post about it on pocketnow.com. I'm thinking it's actually the one for Bell Canada some the model is the GT-I9100. The ones for the US should be here in a bit.

i guess motorola is slowing lessening their hate for qualcomm
I do find a few of the Atrix's features pretty interesting, the fingerprint scanner is definitely badass, but with MotoBlur as the UI I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
The copy of that article made me LOL.
The Atrix is unique because it runs on a brand new dual-core mobile chip, expanding its processing power far beyond any smartphone before.

What they probably meant to say was that Sprint is ideal because lack of competition. It only really has like 3 high end phones...And a lot of people have owned at least 2 out of those 3 at one point or another. Put the Atrix over on Sprint and guess where everyone would go...
Definitely wouldn't get the atrix if you want to flash alot of stuff. No kernels for that phone.

An alaskan cell phone company GCI is getting it first:
http://phandroid.com/2011/09/09/sam...00/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Sorry, Sprint, but you were a bit too slow. Alaska’s regional GCI has beaten the nationwide carrier to market as the first U.S. carrier to offer a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S II. Those citizens residing in the colder of the two non-contiguous United States have the pleasure of heading out and picking up what looks to be an unadulterated version of the Galaxy S II for a mere $99.99 on contract. The GSII operates on GCI’s “4G” HSPA+ network and features a dual-core CPU, Super AMOLED Plus display, and more. We suppose with an asterisk Sprint can still be the first carrier to release the Galaxy S II in the continental US, right?

Wouldn't the wimax network have allot less users when everyone starts moving to LTE? Shouldn't that make wimax faster until they kill it off?

What use will I have for the phone when I get its replacement? Anything the Epic4g can do, my new phone can do better and faster. Might give the epic4g to a family member or hopefully microsoft brings back its stupid smoked by windows phone challange this summer and I can get a new one of those for free in trade and then sell it. Most likely though it would sit in a drawer for a year in case I need a backup phone and then into the garbage.

Really? An unreleased phone still doesn't have source? Do we need to dig up the captain obvious award? Who cares? I was happy for the GSIII community as a whole, no matter what carrier. Are you unable to see without your ATT fanboy goggles? Grow up. At least Verizon customers aren't trying to figure out how to cheat the system to get slower internet to save a couple bucks a month.
