Your internal memory partition may be too small for other roms. Thats why they dont boot.
So, create bigger partition

+1 to what Adil said, in fact that ROM has the lowest partition size I've seen in any ROMs (135Mb) so if you forget to change this between flashing ROMs undoubtedly no other ROMs will work.

I know this is not only happening to me.. But why is it that it is working for some ppl and others it dosnt?
I have tried serveral roms now and they all have the same problem.. No keyboard!
I have installed recovery image v. 1.5.2 .. After that i have copied the rom to the root of my sd.. i have then wiped: Data, Dalvik, SD:EXT, battery, rotation.. However at Dalvik and SD:EXT it gives me the error "Error: Run 'wipe dalvik' via adb!" and "Error: Run 'wipe ext' via adb!" .. Is it because of this and why is this happening?
I have then tried to continue however and flashed the newest radio from the thread and after that i rebooted and flashed the rom .. no errors here.. after rom flash i wiped everything again, but still got the errors at dalvik and sd:ext..
did you previously have davlik to SD. it certainly sounds like that may causing a problem.
do you have another SD card you could try...just to try it out? or format your card using the recovery menu, then copy the ROM.zip back over and apply.
I certainly have no problems with Keyboards.
I've never moved davlik to SD, only Apps.
Good Luck!
Try the rom on the Htcpedia forum, its the clean official update, but with a2sd and overclock which is optional, everything works fine for me

What is davlik anyways?
In other words.. i do not even know what davlik is, so i guess i haven't done anything to it as i do not know what it does or is..
VillainROM 10 should have a working keyboard. It uses HTC IME_mod from xda-dev as the default keyboard

Well i have tried that one.. Actually the first one i tried.. But it dosnt work in that rom either.. Don't know i must be missing something since you guys dosn't have any problems
I was having this same issue this morning,.. No matter which ROM I flashed the keyboard just didn't want to come up,....
This may be caused by skipping the touch input demo on 1st boot, I never usually bother with it, however,... Just flashed another ROM again, went through the demo, all working fine again!!!
The sequence has to be correct ! I had the same issue with VillainROM 10.
Found out, that the keyboard apk was placed in /data. Means,
if you first flash the ROM and THEN wipe, your keyboard has gone.
Correct sequence:
1. Wipe
2. Flash
3. Reboot
I have been moving my Hero from Sense -> Vanilla.
But, after wiping, flashing, rebooting, there are some apps, like ASTRO, MyBackup, aNetShare, and Springpad, for example, that are already there after first boot.
And before anybody says that Android is backing them up, I'm not connected to any account!
How can this be?
It may already be installed in the ROM you flashed
I've found the same thing whilst benchmarking. I'll wipe everything flash a new rom to benchmark and the benchmark apps will install themselves on first boot. Something I'm as yet unable to explain. Having said that i've experienced no issues with this the two times it has happened (out of at least 10 different rom wipes) and all the apps have worked as they should.

Is CMH 1.4.1 ROM. I do not think CMH has Springpad, and much less MyBackup Pro, does it?

Same here apps work fine. But that is not the point I'm getting crazy understanding where they are.
Did you wipe EXT as well?

By EXT you mean Linux partition? Cause if that, i have no linux partitions on the card ... or not that i remember ... would have to check back if that is the case.

Should say "Wipe SD:Ext" in recovery. That's where all apps are installed if you use Apps2sd...
Full wipe usually means Data, Dalvik, Sd:Ext.

I did a factory reset, dalvilk reset, but i did not do a SD:Ext, as i do not remember having a partition.
But now that you mention it, it could very well be the case.
I would check as soon as i get the phone home.
Thanks.
I have a problem with all 2.2.1 ROMs.
I can't install any application, neither from market nor from my sd card.
In the market when I press OK (to accept permissions) nothing happens.
When I try to install from my sd my phone stucks at "installing" screen...
I tried factory reset, format cache, wip cache/dalvik cache, fix permissions...
None of them worked. I searched for solutions but the only thing I found was to clear cache...What can I do??
ps: In older miniCM builds I didn't have that problem...
and sorry for my English, I hope you understand...
EDIT* SOLVED..
I'm not sure because i'm not a developer, but don't you need to update your baseband when your switching to newer Android custom roms?
I've met the same problem the other day,it seems that it is my not wiping my phone before i switch to newer rom that causes it.Im not sure and im not a developer, too.
@deoxx
My baseband is always 015. I mean it doesn't change... Right now I'm using racht's cm7-54 and I don't have this kind of problem...
@Rrc111
Because I didn't understand exactly what you said, you mean that I don't have to wip cache or that I have to wip cache before install the new ROM??

now after i rebooted it show me "google" name - i am able to go into recovery but it does not show boot animation and just black screen of death .
i believe the phone is dead - lol i am sorry and happy in the same time - will buy a new one Yay.
But i want to understand what did i done wrong so i will not do it again .
if you have any idea why i got it pls share with me or a way to undo it.
thank,
Daniel.
It's really not enough data from you to say what you did wrong
Also may be you did all ok but things happen
Have you wiped cache and dalvik after first stuck at boot? I would do it as a first cure.
I would do it also now.
Any more data what was your stock system, which system did you try to flash?
And a good but last recovery when nothing more helps is flashing of a proper sbf file

thank you for your post.
Quarx ROM was broken. and when i installed MIG i had the same issue .
i had to wait several hours and suddenly it worked.
So i have installed back MIG ROM - best rom ever.
and every thing working just fine.
just for some reason after you install new FONT and do a soft reboot you may get boot loop .
have no idea why and Yes i did Wipe Cache and Wipe Dalvik first and had no effect..
