Yes, I wiped data, cache and dalvik after and before flash ICS.. and when i using it.. i try return to factory defaults and erase evething.. but.. nothing happined..
I found the solution.. but was dificult.. i re-flash my phone to floyo and on it.. i return to factory defaults.. after this.. i installed ICS... and worked.. i don't know why..
Maybe it's a kernel issue. Which defy have you? Defy or defy+ ?

Hi i've been using JF 1.51 for a week now and only now it has given me the error.
"Insufficient Storage Available"
im using Apps2SD. 63mb free internal, 2gb free on SD
so far it only pops up that error upon installation of "Retro Clock" but I was able to install Retro Clock before. I just wiped my device cause it was unstable.
Now its loaded with HTC Hero Theme
ok so did u fix the problem? I dont get why u made this thread if you fixed it lol...
If you run a search the "inefficient storage space" issue comes up an awful lot with solutions too...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3881022&postcount=4162
Might as well close this thread as the OP did a wipe to fix the issue.
I didnt fix the issue. I dont think I mentioned that.
I just said before I can install retroclock. . .
now i cant
I just reflashed my phone, and nothing is installed yet. so I dont think that's the problem, and I did wipe before reflashing
Ah sorry, it is pretty late here ^_^;;
Have you tried the steps though from that link I posted up? Also see that you're using Apps2SD... It could be worth clearing your EXT2/3 partition, wipe and re-flash to start the process again.
Just do a backup before so you can restore your settings after.
o ok my bad. I thought u said it was fixed after wipe and reflash. Try reformating your ext partition, that might solve the problem.
I just did another wipe, then flashed to JF 1.51 and installed HTC Hero Theme. Now its working again.. thanks
Glad its working in the end ^_^ As a favour could you please edit the title of the post to add [SOLVED] so people know?
I have a problem with all 2.2.1 ROMs.
I can't install any application, neither from market nor from my sd card.
In the market when I press OK (to accept permissions) nothing happens.
When I try to install from my sd my phone stucks at "installing" screen...
I tried factory reset, format cache, wip cache/dalvik cache, fix permissions...
None of them worked. I searched for solutions but the only thing I found was to clear cache...What can I do??
ps: In older miniCM builds I didn't have that problem...
and sorry for my English, I hope you understand...
EDIT* SOLVED..
I'm not sure because i'm not a developer, but don't you need to update your baseband when your switching to newer Android custom roms?
I've met the same problem the other day,it seems that it is my not wiping my phone before i switch to newer rom that causes it.Im not sure and im not a developer, too.
@deoxx
My baseband is always 015. I mean it doesn't change... Right now I'm using racht's cm7-54 and I don't have this kind of problem...
@Rrc111
Because I didn't understand exactly what you said, you mean that I don't have to wip cache or that I have to wip cache before install the new ROM??

Hello Everyone!
I was very happy Defy user, lately I've start checking new ROM's and finally I'm stuck with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1127085 but then I've found out this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152377 and everything was back to normal... at least that what I was thinking...
I've start download my favourite apps and then I saw first warning, that there is not enough available memory on my Moto... I've start checking and I could'nt belive my eyes, internal memory is only 128MB...
I have no idea how this happend, so if there is anyone, who have similar situation, let me know please, how did you solve this...
Thanks
gajdem
yeahhh, had the same problem when accidently flashing the leaked gb rom and trying to get back to froyo via shadows' guide. i thought i was f***ed when i saw the decreased internal storage. but no problem just full wipe via stock recoevery and everything is back to normal.
I've got the same problem, but hadn't solved it yet. I've tried all the ways but cant get 2gb memory again, always 128mb, no matter the rom i flash, the wipes i do...
if someone knows how to solve it...thx
hi there guys,

I don't think you would get 2GB of memory on every rom you flash. The most you would get is 1.3GB as off the rest was used by the system data files. This is what they called it share memory. And only froyo and gingerbread has the build in app2sd ability to conserve internal memory space by putting some off your app in sdcard. You must perform cache/data wipe whenever you're flashing a rom or sbf to eliminate any junk files in the memory.

Same problem!
I'm having the same problem even after installing multiple versions of the android 128MB internal memory keeps appearing. does anyone have any solutions?
I solved this doing a Factory Reset, in Settings > Privacy.
i doubt it's that easy...
but i'll give it a shot
I've had the same problem. I think its from following this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14762402&postcount=143 .
Tried to do a factory reset from MIUI. Didn't work. Then I restored the nandroid backup from the post above and tried a factory reset from that and it seems to have fixed the problem. Well I have 1.15 gb instead of 80 mb anyway. Hope that helps

This works! Thanks man
If you have downgraded from the FULL GC SBF FLASH(instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982)
after you flash the fixed sbf after downgrading do a factory reset and voila you will get 1.17 GB internal space!!!!
read, read again, and again.
i missed this information, that Factory reset must be done after Fixed sbf.
i did it at the end with cm7, no help.

also for me, the Beginners Guide did not work.
the only way i found after 10-times doing it:
Method 2: (BIG thanks to Jebrew again for this one)
NOTE: You are going to need CM7 for this one. CM7 Stable version recommended.
Download this SBF and Flash it.
!!!now i did Factory reset and got back my 1,24GB memory (Y)
Root your phone.
Download 2nd Init 1.4.2 and Install ClockworkMod Recovery.
Reboot to CMW recovery, and wipe Data/Cache.
Install CM7 then install Google Apps.
!! here my defy 525 red lens did not go there => Reboot an go into Stock Recovery (using the vol- button, not from Bootmenu).
Do a Data/Cache Wipe or you won't have any space when you're done.
(but it makes the same, as Factory Reset in the Fixed rom, i think)
also CM7 did not boot up, stuck on Google logo.
Flash this Fixed SBF
Reboot into your nice new rom.
Do not Wipe Data anymore or you will have to start again.

Your internal memory partition may be too small for other roms. Thats why they dont boot.
So, create bigger partition

+1 to what Adil said, in fact that ROM has the lowest partition size I've seen in any ROMs (135Mb) so if you forget to change this between flashing ROMs undoubtedly no other ROMs will work.
hi...
after i went for a swim with my defy, i had to give it for service and i believed they have replaced some thing in my phone, probably the touch screen which is still showing bit or non responsiveness here and there.
now almost all my apps are crashing/foreclosing... cant play a game or normal apps too... all are foreclosing and recently i have noticed a serious lag in all functions... i tied cm10, wiui, etc... and now back on stock... still same issue...
can anyone suggest anything???
could it be something about the kernel??? but that also should've been rectified once i flashed a fixed stock sbf for 2.2 version.
firmware - 2.2
baseband - epu93_u_00.59.02
kernel - 2.6.32.9-g0671d13
build - jem_3.4.3-36-1
Have you done a Fullwhipe between the Rom Changes?? Have you already flashed another Full Froyo SBF?

i always do a full wipe between ROM...
1. factory reset > cache wipe > dalvik wipe > install zip > wipe cache > wipe battery info...
this is how i normally do between roms...
i have flashed only one full froyo sbf, which is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093352
can anyone help???
Please ask all questions in the Q&A section. Thread moved there.
can anyone help me rectify this issue... now not just my apps are foreclosing, phone is rebooting..!
what can be done??? should i flash another kernel or sbf???
anyone faced similar issues before???
