Someone should start developing software for optical mouse!

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of development for the Touch line of phones and they all have awesome programs for gesturing the capacitive screen.
I really hope Xperia stays popular long enough to have some pro do something like this for the optical stick. Such as using optical stick to zoom in and out; I'd really like to see that functionality in opera, instead of page scrolling.

Click to collapse
Lol. Who uses optical joystick? I tonly comes in ur way when you want to navigate with they hardwarekeys.
optical joystick works better than using finger to scroll in opera mobile. not as good in other browsers
I used to want the option to zoom using the trackpad, however, that has really changed. I use the trackpad to scroll, I keep it set to the fastest setting, and I'm able to flick through menus and opera pages extremely quickly. It works really well for me, I can't imagine not having it...its a pretty good jog dial replacement imo.

Use volumebuttons to zoom in camera?

When I am using my camera I think that it would be much easier to use the volumebuttons to zoom, instead of using the slide on the screen. Is this possible?
Regards
Hans
Using the volume buttons to zoom in/out in either camera out video modes would be a great option. I would prefer that.
Anyone able to do that yet?
*up*
I would like this too... please

[DEV'S NEEDED!] [APP REQUEST] [POKEnSLIDE2ZOOM]

Maybe im late on this idea but i had a idea for a zoom function similar to that on the iphone (not that i like iphones) but the pinch to zoom function is usefull and would be great and my tilt2.
is it possible to make an app where you hold a button (ptt preferrably cuz its unmapped anyway) and press on the screen where you want to zoom and as you slide your finger down away from that point it would zoom in and the opposite when going up.
im not much a dev but id love to see this made

[Q] Simulate Multi-Touch / Pinch to zoom with HTC Click

Hello,
I'm using a HTC Tattoo/Click with Cyanogenmod7.1.0RC1 (Thanks!).
Unfortunatly I'm not able to zoom deep enough with pdf-readers (tested nearly every reader from market). I think I need Pinch-to-Zoom to do that. Is there a way to simulate that on my tattoo? Maybe with volume-keys oder an extra app/driver?
Without that, more an more apps will get useless, because they don't have zoom-button anymore
Thanks in advance and excuse my bad english,
Kermit
I can either double-tap or use + & - buttons. Also using same ROM. Adobe Reader.
Nope, theres no other way - just double tap on the screen and it will zoom in/out accordingly
The screen of Tattoo is resistive not capacitive so we can't pinch-to-zoom...neither with other apps

[q] pinch to zoom not working

Hello to everyone!
I've searched the forum and Internet but couldnt find the solution.
So here is my problem:
I've tried different clk roms and have the same issue : in galery pinch to zoom is not working as is should in portrait mode but works perfectly inlandscape mode.
I tried some apps to test my touch screen.
Pinch to zoom only works (in portrait) in the left midle of the screen, nowhere else.
I can zoom on a picture but only on the left and then I have to move my finger accros the screen to see want I wanted to zoom on.
I hope you undrestand what I mean and you will be able to help me.
Thank you
