Since someone in here had trouble to check his date code by look at backsticker,i've make a little research & found this.i not sure if it really accurate or not but its seem true on my phone
1.Go to this site http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr
2.Put ur IMEI>analyse
3.look at Est. Date of Range Issuance
4.if u got Around Q2 2011 & Below of that date then ur date code is below 11W29 & safe to unlocked bootloader
Thanks.
Its helpful for those people whose manufacturing date is erased.
Press THANKS if I tried to help..
I got this in the date section: after Jan 2003.. Is that alright for unlocking bootloader or?

I used the other tool with the s1tool... I mean you have to run batch file(is it a batch file?) and I used the one with the number 2 at the end.. and apparently I had the problem with network(I mean the radio didnt work, so no network found, couldnt actually check my account status) so then I relocked and used the other option.. it did go well.. now I have another problem if you can check this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27529354#post27529354

As I know,Q2 mean ww13-ww24 then ur date code should be around that and if u read my OP,this method not a 100% sure accurated.but if ur motherboard is a original one(never replaced it before)& back sticker says 11w35,then that date should be a exact one
But first I was killed my phone.....it was 12w08.....after that I take it to se and they said I was over charged my phone and blow up charging IC's....so after they repaired phone and I waste 10 dollars to it.......now I'm not sure what is my manufacture date is........

the important thing is to know either they have change ur motherboard or not.if u send ur phone to sony centre after hardbrick while trying to unlocked bootloader, they will replaced m/board for sure(there no way to repaired it) then its high possibility u got below 11ww25 if estimate date code say its around Q2 2011.but its not 100% sure, sorry.
i got Around Q2 2011, it mean safe to unlock bootloader?
my motherboard has been replaced Sony Services Centre, first i unlock bootloader is fail, and then i send it to sony

HOPE to get it on Saturday and have the weekend to play and install my apps. Upgrading from a Diamond. I have looke dat the tweaks sticky and downloaded a few of them ready.
Any heads up for the fone?
best advice, play with it first, dont get crazy adding stuff till you are comfortable with it, and read a LOT.
Good luck for saturday delivery!

Ok, after frustrating calls to O2 who finally deceided to tell me they didnt know hen they would have the HD2 in stock I cancelled and went in store and got one today! LOVE IT!
Whats the benefit of that unlocking link?
As soon as its unlocked you can , obviously, use any sim card in it...
Silly noob comments removed
Seriously suggest you take the advice to read as theres just so much stuff to try out you'll probably end up duplicating your efforts as most of the cooked ROM's will already include any of the tweaks you're likely to try and going crazy with the mods can have an adverse impact on stability. As a first port of call for a must have grab a file explorer and a back up utility (if you haven't already)...
doesnt need to be unlocked to flash roms. sim lock and rom lock aren't connected.

The benefit is that it's free and allows any sim from other providers.
Most HD2 owners need to pay around £20 for this. It may not directly benefit you at this time but it will some day.

Count the digits. the IMEI only needs to be 16 digits, but several people (myself included) have found that the hd2 displays a 17 (or 18 one person said) digit imei. KNock off the last digit and try again.

Hello
I have posted something similar in the thread where you told us not to unlock the bootloader if your phone is highier than 11W29. But unfortunately I didnt read that thread and I have now a dead phone and my phone´s date is 11W46 (I know I messed up big time here). So my question is: Can I do anything now? Should I look for help with ppl that have the JTAG/RIFF box to resurrect my dead phone or just go to the shop and ask for a new one?
The problem is that I am not sure if my warranty is lost this way and if they will give me a refund...
Please give me back the hope of brining my phone to life again :´´(
If you have tried to unlock the bootloader you have rooted your phone. If you have rooted it you have broken the warranty so im sorry about that.

Go to shop and say that phone was dead at normal use! If in repair center will find that you brick phone by yourself you will pay some money. I was bricked my daughters phone (11W35) and take it to nearest mobile phone workshop (not SE warranty), phone was be repaired in 1 day and that was cost 15 Euros.

Great news for me . Thank you for sharing that. I could go to the shop then and just tell em the phone died. Thank you guys a lot for the optimism I ll do my best to bring it to life again
Just take it to the shop and say that you put your phone to charge and since than it cant start

Human always smarter than machine. Samsung got a disadvantage which is included built in recovery. He can just simply boot in and factory reset everything. Or just remove all accounts that in your s4. Let's pray for the stealer is stupid.

Yes I this there is a notification telling that device "is found" ... but you can't prevent anybody from flashing a new firmware.
On your box there should be an IMEI number (or on your receipt) and IMEI is a bit more difficult to change so maybe you have a chance to trace it in some other way.

second of all, if he flashes a new firmware or disconnect from my samsung account ( or even a factory reset )
can i know it? or it will just stay offline for ever?

If he just reset (factory reset), wipe data or flash a new firmware, IMEI may survive.
So IMEI tracking is your last chance.

No, you can't. To back up your keys you need root. To get root you need to unlock. If you unlock you loose your keys. You can simulate the functionality but can't restore the keys.

My Z5 has !!! faulty electrical parts !!!, but Support said: "Nope, no warrenty for you at all. Pay 250€ for repair or order it back for 15€." What I said: "Can you sell my Z5 for around 500€ (new 700€)? Then I can buy a new one and have saved 50€!"

Told Verbraucherschutz or your lawyer about this ?
This is ridiculous ! Faulty electrical parts (I assume they were already like that) have to be fixed (what is broken, btw ?),
does Sony have a something like a Community or PR Manager on Facebook, Twitter ? - Write them publicly that they'll get some pressure.
My phone works so far (2 weeks old, hardly used) *knock on wood* - but if they reacted in that way: I'd got to my lawyer and demand repair + NEVER EVER buy anything from them again and also tell everyone about this "maltreatment".
What kind of ****ty politics is this: they're offering you a defective product (non fully functioning) at a premium plus price and then sanction you if you fix it yourself (referring to bootloader unlock + custom parts),
it's not like you only rented the device - you OWN it !
Well if i have the functionality why would i need the keys? Nevermind. Im happy with functionality restored.

really bad news to hear... We still need an exploit to gain temporary root priviledges and so backup the TA partition in a safe place in case like these.
However do not give up and get information about warranty laws in your Country

Don't go to Sony, go to your dealer to claim warranty. You have a contract with the dealer who sold you the phone, not with Sony. If the phones age is less than 6 month, the dealer has to prove that the parts weren't defect when you bought it.

no, that's wrong (at least in germany). unless unlocking bootloader (and rooting) is the cause for the defect.
e.g. unlocking bootloader doesn't cause a broken powerbutton

What is the problem unlocking your bootloader? You can restore your DRM now.
