I also had a program called Bloover2, made by trifinite.org that attack other phones and suck information off hence Bloover - Bluetooth Hoover. Anyway its a J2ME program that works on my Nokia Series60, i cant find any sort of software anywhere that is any where near close to this sort of programs for O2 XDA MINI S or even any PPC.
2. Activesync - ok when i connect my phone it is connected straight away ( connected by USB ), but it says Revieving Settings or something like that, anyways it stay like that for ages but thats not what is bothering me, the problem i have is, i can download files from the DESKTOP computer onto my Xda Mini using the explore funtion on active sync, but i can download files off the Xda Mini to the DESKTOP it says transfering but does nothing! I have used the search function and used the AND inbetween words and its crap, (sorry to who made it) but i dont find anything relating to the search.
Anyway if anyone canmaybe shed some light on any of these matter i would be grateful

You can try Smurf. It works with older WM Smartphones but it might work with the Wizard since they both use Microsoft's Bluetooth Stack.

Are you connected directly to the desktop or through a USB Hub?
What OS are you using on your desktop?
Are you using a sofware Firewall and if so, did you enable ActiveSync as an exception?
Have you tried using Bluetooth ActiveSync
i gave up with the usb cable, im using infared for now till i manage to sort it out, that smurf program i found but it didnt work too well. thanks for your help tho
I was wondering if this is possible. I've heard of people using ICS Control to turn it into a hotspot, but I no longer have a working WiFi card. I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and all I can do is use the built-in Internet Connection Sharing that comes with WinMo until I get a long ethernet cable to wire from my router to my room.
So I was wondering if it's possible to use the phone's ability to receive WiFi to share that connection with the computer. I'm sure there's some way for it to be done. Any suggestions?
I have the same question
same situation here.
After some searching, I've found a program called "Serialtunnel" and "wmtunnel" that is supposed to do just that, however I cannot find any working download link...
Let me know if you find anything.
http://www.wmwifirouter.com/
Will work as wifi to usb, making your phone a WIFI usb adapter. I use it with my desktop when hooked to my TV in the livingroom, rather than a 35 foot cord.
Its as simple as= plug in phone, start Wmwifirouter , touch wifi to usb button.
Battery charges while working so it doesn't kill it.
phone's ability to receive WiFi to share that connection with the computer can only be obtained if your phone allows to do so. check out the official site of your phone developrs. there will definitly be some considerations about this
Two solutions
Found two programs that do just this, both work on Windows Mobile (and unfortunately not on Symbian), but are supposed to do just what you're looking for.
ICS Control
Serial Tunnel
IF anyone figures out how to get this (converted) to run on a Symbian device... Thanks.
Anyone?
Bumping to re-ask question.

I'm looking for a program that can "Wifi to USB" on a symbian (Nokia) phone.
In other words, I want to use my phone as a wireless adapter for an old pc without wifi.
would prob get more luck asking in a symbian forum
I have been using Dropbox most of the time to transfer files. Just put the file in the dropbox folder then download it on my phone.
Since CM7 gives my troubles with usb tethering, is there a way to wirelessly explore my SDcard through wifi or something?
Itd be nice to be able to clean up the card every once in a while with my computer.
I came across this app - "WiFi File Explorer PRO":
I can't post links yet but you can find it on Android Market
Looks like what you are looking for
A few questions...which nightly are you on and what issues are you having? Are you trying to mount to a PC or Mac? If it would come down to it, does your computer have Bluetooth capabilities?

I also use Wifi File Explorer. Works well for me.
I"m using cm7 #12 and usb mounting works for me
gr8nole
is the wifi explorer worth paying for it are you able to download all the new zip files and where does it store it?
I use swiFTP from the market. It's free, open source software and it works great. I use it all the time when i'm too lazy to find my usb cord, lol.
thanks for the replys...
I use a mac.
I haven't tried it in a while so maybe the USB tether works, but figured why bother if I can do it over WiFi?
I have bluetooth, but that is verrrrry slow. not sure why, the phone is inches from the computer too.
I've experienced the same thing with bluetooth - really slow no matter what. FWIW i've stuck with swiFTP because it has great transfers speeds. Better than any of the other wireless methods i've tried.

i want to know how my pc can detect my android as a wifi adpter
i dont want to use internet
thers some other suff that i wanna do
I think it is usb tether and a wifi antena itself. Try to plug your phone and go to settings-wireless connections-tethering-activate your usb tethering(if your phone have its settings and also drivers required). Then activate your wifi.

You can use wifi tether or usb tether.
If you use usb teher, you must install usb driver to your computer first

So .... What is the fastest way to Download AND Upload files(photo, apk, etc) from your andoid device to the PC (windows)
I personaly use AirDroid for doing that ... cause i find it the most fastest way( the single problem is i need to close every time the app from android after i used it )
Wifi file transfer
To manage your files just go to your pc browser

The fasted of all is to take the card out and plug in the PC. But that is not for daily operations....
Second fastest should be to enable MassTransfer mode (search the S4 forum) and connect the cable to PC.
Third fastest is the cable, with direct cable connection (and no additional 'hacks')
The fasted via 'air' should be by using a ftp connection. you will need to that a server (on PC) and a client (on phone). With a few clicks (literary), your transfer can be started.
Then come all the apps (like AirDroid)... that depend also on your network speed, distance to router/hotspot, etc...
I feel, usb cable connection on win 8.1 is much better in comparison with win 7
