with GB my note had a problem that when battery charger was unplugged i saw the battery icon same as when on charging normaly...so I updated today to ICS and same problem,in addition there's continuously a toast that advise me of a too high voltage.
What to do?i'm bothering
I do a format/ system from recovery too and reinstalled ICS..but nothing to do for the 2 troubles!
I've seen a couple of posts on the same topic although not experienced it myself...
It seems that the USB charge point can become dirty, try cleaning it with a cotton bud and some pure alcohol to remove any dirt. I've seen a lot of users resolve this this way.
Failing this, I'll leave it to someone else
Good luck.

Try use different usb cable. It will solve your problem.

I've noticed an annoying bug on my touch screen on my sgs2, and wondered if anyone else has this problem.
Basically, the problem seems to be able to be reproduced by, for example, scrolling the settings menu with your finger, then stopping, but leaving your finger pressed on the screen, as if you were holding it still with your finger. Mine seems to be twitching and moving around slightly, it doesn't stay still.
Not a big deal you may think... But if your an angry birds player or a player of any game or app that requires precision movements then this is an annoying bug.
I'm on ke1. Can anyone else try this for me? Cheers.
Mine had stopped doing it now... But, I have noticed it before, so it seems I have an intermittent problem / fault / bug. Anyway, can everyone post here if they notice this... It happens in every app I've used that involves scrolling.
Nope, mine doesn't do this. And I'm glad about it! Sucks man, trey flashing a different rom.

This used to be a charger problem, should work flawlessly with the charger thats provided with the phone

Could be a glitch in the motion setting, if you go to settings>motion and test the one where you put you finger on the screen and tilt the phone and the background moves.

Depends on quality of electric supply out of socket as well as which charger in my experience.

Mine was on charge when it happened, and it still happened some time after, but it stopped soon after.

Could be that then?
So my wife dropped her Nexus 4 in the toilet bowl and then proceeded to try and call someone to see if it worked. When it shut off, she tried charging it. Things that people say you should not do. I took off the back, disconnected the battery, and tried the rice treatment for 72 hours. Tried charging it and get the red LED. Does not look good and have pretty much accepted that it is bricked. My questions is, what can I do with it? Does Google have a buyback program for broken devices? Does anyone else? Or is it just a paper-weight? Thanks.
Edit..nvm ignore, I didn't read your post properly.
Worst case, you could probably sell some replacement parts off it... since she did call someone, obviously screen is OK...

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery maybe that will help, you can try to get a free phone from Google, I did that with my galaxy s 2. Just say you don't know what happened you tried turn on the phone and it didn't work. I am sure they would exchange and usually they are too lazy to open up the phone to see if anything is wrong inside.

parts !!
Call up google, tell them the truth and see if they would be willing to repair. When this happened to me with apple they just charged me $100 to get a new one, not bad considering the screw up was completely my fault.
Call and see what you can do. If you can't do anything buy a nexus 4 that needs a new screen and use yours to repair it. Could find one cheap with a busted screen. Is the back or any part damaged?

Sell the parts that are still functional on eBay, I'm sure somebody could find some use for them.

Device : Nexus 7
Running : Android 4.1.2 Rooted
Problem : I was trying to unroot it and flash a 4.2.2 ROM to the device and i ended up bricking it somehow. I looked around a lot on here and youtube. I found one solution i had not tried which was to get into recovery mod. But the device was stuck on the boot loaded. So i hard shut it down, and pressed the key combination to load the boot loader. And, the screen wasn't loading. I heard the little chimes my computer makes when ever a USB device is active, so i heard the thing load into the boot loader. But its not showing on the screen!
Please help i really shouldn't have done this. But i am literally about to cry.
I tried using Wugfresh's Nexus toolkit to flash the ROM, and it would stop on sending system.
I dont know if i did something wrong, if the kernel was messed up, if the kit wasnt right, please as the video said there is 4 million members here. someone has to know what to do...

That is not the bootloader. You need to have your device disconnected from your pc. Then go to your bootloader.

I feel kind of stupid.
Nope. Not working. And its not the battery. its plugged into the wall.
Just a noob guess, Is it possible the device isnt even using the display? Like its so messed up that its per say not even realizing it has a screen?
Try volume down and power. It is possible that the screens flex cable came loose. Pop the back off and check. You should be getting some visual queue. If all else fails hold the power button for awhile. Like around 15 to 20 seconds. I have had to do that a few times. That should fix it.

You can use a fingernail really. The best thing is a plastic spuger. A guitar pic works nicely. Just start at the bottom and work your way around.

Have you dropped the device at all or sat on it? If you are getting no visual queues, either you have a loos flex cable, or the lcd is cracked or just non functional all together. The best way to check that is to shine a flashlight at an angle into your screen. Look for any odd lines that have a slight or significant curve to them.

Assuming i found the right cable which was under a copper shielding that was running up from the metal frame under the battery. It was yellow.
It was tucked all the way in.
I didnt see any cracks or lines. I did sit on my pillow was under it.
That could possibly break the device. I just recently broke mine the other day in similar circumstances. The cable is right by the battery on the right. Should be almost centered by the batt.

Oh. But it was working the other day. Does it just do that?
and Yes i got the right cable. So what can i do now? It was rooted so i cant send it back, Is there anything i could do?
You technically could send it back... They can't confirm it is rooted unless you unlock the bootloader and the little lock thing shows up on the splash screen. And since your screen doesn't work, they can't see it unless they test the device after replacing the screen assuming they don't replace the whole unit. But I don't know their procedures. Most companies just replace the whole thing. The screen shouldn't just go out. Not saying it doesn't happen, but it shouldn't.

Well good luck. Never thought one could fully brick a Nexus 7. From my understanding, it is damn near impossible. Tell them that you were updating to 4.2.2 and it won't boot up at all now. That should avoid them replacing the screen and checking everything ultimately getting you a whole new device. I know you said it's not the battery, but try charging it overnight and the try to boot it up. I have seen so many people think they bricked, but discovered later on down the line 'up to 6 months later' that their battery was just dead.

Many people have the same manufacturing issue... It just didn't usually kick in this early.
There's two things this could be... Assuming you haven't already sent it in.
If the screen is kind of like an antrace and noisy, then it has zero charge and needs desperately, a few hours electricity.
If it only flashes like you say. There is a common issue with nexus 7 issue where the cable hooking the battery to the device becomes detached.
The easy fix I would do in your position would be to slip it open and reconnect the cord, as it is in the front. The case is also very easy to get off with a flathead screwdriver, or from dropping it... Not the best design. I did alot of research when mine was bootlooped and very certain that is your problem. Hope this helps if you didn't send it in xD
Don't mess with it....send it in. Better to wait and start with a fully functional device, not one you had to fix to make work!!

Amen to that! My level of fixing tablets and phones is pretty high. Just got done replacing my Nexus 4 screen. Anyways, point I'm trying to make is... Open box and DOA? I don't think so. Already have the RMA process started. Hopefully this one will work. Should get it on Wednesday.

Had some issues with mine today,I did Restore to Default and things are working fine, just try though and you could be lucky or else wait for the OTA update to fix the issue!
So glad it's not just me .. Did you reset your whole phone to default ie factory reset or just the phone settings and if the phone how did you do it ?
I've added an app called call confirm to ensure I don't accidently dial

When the original Galaxy Note arrived, there was a problem called Ghost touch, which operated screen touch on its own and it affected only 1/3rd of owners so Note series is prone to such issues, dont worry!
