I just wanted to know if anyone else on the forums has been having problems playing embedded YouTube videos. When I click on the video it launches the HTC player, the video fully loads but the video stops a few seconds in and restart, this goes on. Occasionally a video will actually play all the way through.
This video I had problems with:

I have no problems playing videos on the YouTube app, is there any way to just make these videos play using the app instead?

Hey guys I was thinking about removing Timescape but I noticed there is not other app which will play our Hd recorded videos without lag. Telle me if I'm wrong. In addition, you won't be able to play it from the stock camera app.
I wander if it is possible to link another video player plugin to the camera stock app, and if anyone knows a video player that 'support' HD, please share.
Regards

I would not recommend removal of Timescape and Mediascape. They seem to be intergrated quite deeply in the ui.
Meadiascape you mean, not Timescape.
Try RockPlayer for armv7 (not from market, on market is the universal version) or VPlayer.
Timescape can be be removed as the effects of removing it aren't present in 2.1 like it was in 1.6
Hi!
I have a HTC Maple with one of those new fangled custom roms installed on it.
Now before I installed the new ROM, The youtube app ran videos perfectly on my extremely slow internet connection (128 kbps) with no Lag at all.
Now the new Rom, comes with a newer youtube app, and it dosent play the videos in low quality, meaning it'll take like 4 minutes to watch a 2 minute movie.
So anyways, can anyone give me the original youtube app that came on the phone?
Thanks!
Sigh.
Im still looking for the app.
Now the HTC streaming media refuses to load youtube videos.
Can anyone give me the original HTC youtube app that came with the phone?
Hi I have a problem with the youtube app my video is not loading and if I click the back button to go back most of the time it forced close.
I tried uninstall update on the manage apps but still does not work.
I used CM7 stock and just flashed CM7 Phiremod and still have the same problem.
Is this normal?
Thank you.
I have issue with youtube app won't play HQ videos, lower quality ones work fine. I'm on the lastest KANG build.

The newest versions of youtube arent working right on the NC, you should be able to play all videos you tick off the HQ button. Or you could revert to an old and working youtube app, I am using version 2.1.6 and it plays on HQ.
Also recently started having an issue with videos not loading, running cm7 and have tried multiple roms. I tried an older version of the apk but it fc'd. Guess I will keep looking for one.
Edit: Seems to only be not loading hq videos, but I don't see any way to disable hq. I have tried multiple older apk's but they all fc
Since Android JB 4.1.2 now allows for Cascading of windows, are you able to "listen" to Youtube Videos using the Official Video App by having it work in the background?
Well, if you were going to do that, isn't it easier to use Radio for Youtube (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...mNvbS5BdG9tYXguYW5kcm9pZC5Zb3V0dWJlUmFkaW8iXQ..) ? I remember using it to listen to Legend of Korra soundtracks in the background and that it's a pretty good app.
edit:
so I just tried it (on the note right now) and yes it works as a background Cascade thing.
