Can any ony help me?
3g always on? bad network coverage area?
You're start to become annoying, spamming all over the place with your own problem...
According to me 17-18 hours is normal for an Android device. If you want to see 24 hours of battery life you must turn off 3G.Use 2G on your phone. When you need fast internet connection enable 3G option. You will see the difference.
Another proposal;
You need to calibrate to battery.( Oh I see now.You have calibrated your battery.Sorry but charge your phone 4-5 times after calibration. Can be better
no calibration needed it only wipe battery stats dont make your battery last longer...
and also im using last aurora ics rom and used previous versions and i have 2 days and maybe half day more depends on my use... and i always have 3g on and use wifi almost 50% maybe more of the time... only care i have is to delete facebook app...and i make calls send receive sms normal use....

Actualy no it isn't, unless you're playing some games, the can last 2/3 days

If I play games my battery lasts few hours.

its normal phone will get extremely busy and cpu will enter in full speed wich will make your battery drain....
Don't use task killers.they drain battery too much.
At least in my country, x5 is 159€ and iPhone is 699€. Both do the same thing. Some difference in battery performance can be excused, don't you think?! Buy a bigger battery from Ebay if you're too affected from it!
any phone you want to buy haves the same problem if u play your battery will drain a lot... could it be iphone 4s 5s 6s every phone will have that "problem"
one close friend of me bought an htc nexus one with tegra 3 and quadcore cpu etc etc... if he plays bye bye battery but in normal use 2 days of battery...
I think Motorola razor maxx has good battery.

I also modified the WM with autoboot using the program FD DroidBoot and also using the energy tweak that you can download the .cab file at RT @xdadevelopers Post: Increase Battery Life [WinMo registry tweaks - Need confirmation] http://bit.ly/9gnTvO. I use SetCPU at 245/768 when operational and 245/245 when screen off with ondemand at 100%. No 3G but only EDGE was used for this experiment for web browsing.
I will update with the results in this post soon... I also decided to use the Batteryminder app so that I have a more scientific way of quantifying what is going on with my Android build.

NOTE: By the way, feel free to post up your "scientific" and anecdotal battery tests in this thread so that we have a formal benchmark for comparison. Thanks!
Hmm, do you mind downloading Current Widget and telling me what power consumption figure it reports after your HD2 is on standby (ie. screen off)?
On my HD2, running Miri v17, with WM power tweaks and a couple of widgets running,
darkstone's HD2Froyo v2 uses a massive 60ma during standby.... in comparison his HD2Froyo v1 build only uses 14ma. Someone posted that Bangsters uses 9-10ma on standby, while shubicraft 1.5 uses 44ma (not sure if they tested with or without widgets though)
To me that looks like certain Android builds are using more power than others, but I haven't quite figured out why yet. Would be helpful if we can get a list of the Android builds that are known to have low standby/screen off power consumption, then we can figure out what makes these particular builds so energy saving!
im using energy froyostone witch i believe is based on v1 with sense? its 56ma on standby.

I tried this fix for a test phone last week and it didn't seem to help matters much. It depends on the build. I used the energy modification .cab file at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7614810#post7614810 and ran that instead and it helps a little better.

Oh, I should be more specific - I was referring to my posts in that thread that I just posted today - at least for HD2Froyo V2 build, removing the "new" /system/lib/hw/lights.qsd8k.so and restoring the original one (from the android build which the particular hd2 android build was derived from) drastically lowered my standby power drain. With setcpu, etc I'm hovering around 7-9ma at the moment.
Some people have reported problems trying this out on Shubcraft 1.5 builds so a word of caution

Ah, I would try this fix although since I am doing a build by build comparison, I can only use the same tweak on all the builds so the results are comparable. Chalk it up to the scientific method here
I got 7 mA based on Current Widget on standby when using this particular build which is pretty good in fact . I presume that is the usual amount using SetCPU program?
hey guys where can I dl setCPU ?

Rating: Not a stable build with the Energy ROM and the battery life is terrible even with the tweaks. I don't like the interface either so no go. Will test with other ROM's too later on.
Nothing that we don't already know. Running on mem card = fast drainage. Android is a nice novelty to play with, but until there is a NAND resolution, i'll be sticking by wm6.5 for my 2.5 days on moderate use.

7ma is a fat drainage for you? I couldn't get less than 22ma on wm, some get 4 but I never could have that number after a lot of customizations... Android battery life is GOOD bro
10 hours of battery life seem kind of weak to me. I'm using Shubcraft 1.4 with setCPU 1036/245 and my phone has been unplugged since yesterday around 8:30 that's 24 hours ago and I still have 44% left.
Data always on (3G or EDGE depending on the coverage, email syncing every hour, facebook too), I made a few calls, sent a few texts, played a couple games (not for long, I was just showing them off ), did a little browsing and updated 10 apps from the market over Wifi (I turned it off just after). During the night I let the phone on but obviously didn't use it during my approx. 6 hours of sleep.
I'm really surprised that you guys don't get the same battery life since I got all my settings in a thread on xda and nothing more.
If it is of any interest to you I'm using WM chuckyROM WWE tabastic (I don't remember the exact version) and 2.10.50.28_2 Radio.
I also have 7 ma in standby, and it goes up between 250 and 390 when going to the Android Market and installing several apps in succession, which should be pretty intensive for the battery (that's the highest consumption I had).
It can last a normal day's use very easily, with still about 40-50% battery after 12 hours unplugged (granted, I don't spend the whole day surfing the web, but I still use it quite often for short periods during the day).
When I don't use it much (standby most of the time, maybe 20-30 minutes of use), it still has around 65-70% when charging it around 12 hours later.
I use the Mattc 1.7 Sense build (with the Omega 10 XT CHT WM ROM and 2.12 radio).

Alas, my battery testing involving continuous web surfing and email checking unstopped in general so perhaps my tests are about excessive use? I do about 100-200 text messages a day as well as surf like 50-120 pages and do apps as well. That's my extent which is pretty huge I suppose?

Tell me when you can run it for 2.5 days on moderate use, bro. In the meantime, enjoy struggling with 10hrs battery life and doing countless battery monitoring.

That is because we can't stop playing with it all day. I am loosing 1% each hour in standby, guess how many days it is. Actually developers think the same and I would be curious to see a real battery test between wm and android... That would be a nice thread to do.

I saw the review of that Mugen 1550 mAh, you just get 3 h longer battery life.
With 3200 mAh the results are 3×standard 1350 mAh battery life.

And concerning the Mugen Battery, well they say 3 hours but considering the wear on this already year old battery (which is about 30% less than what it used to be when i first purchased), i am expecting a 5-6 hour gain. At least, those are my hopes

yea, it's amazing. but won't run juice defender so I just turn off data updates overnight and my battery stays basically where it was until klaxon wakes me up, then I enable data updates again and go for another day.
I could use a new battery, but aside from that I get more time from this rom than any other.

There seems to be a few small things that need resolving DK, but I am glad Elelinux is helping out as well now. Very different build styles but same goal. Feeyo took it down to the essentials, its very light. Just need Erasmux out of retirement now
I have 3d issues so might try reinstall as others don't get this. Fee usually finishes a new build while you download the most recent one! With Ele on board we might get 3 dl's a week!

gps: Always enabled (Remember, it only eats battery if its actually being USED)
3g: Always enabled
Wifi: Enabled if in range of wifi ive used before.
Auto sync on (juice defender and ultimate juice syncs every 30mins)
Stripped out any apps I dont use (including facebook, the new update killed my battery around 3hours faster than the old version so I uninstalled facebook altogether and use tweetdeck instead)
Aeroplane mode overnight.
Medium usage-
50 SMS a day. 30mins phonecalls. A few gmail notifications and replies. about 4hours web browsing (wifi). A few market updates. and some brief GPS usage (runkeeper or C:Geo)
Battery time:
Currently average between 36 and 39hours.
On Feeyos older 2.1 roms I used to get a full 3 days but kept it on 2g only, standard clock speed, and disabled tilt sensors.
(Edit- In case you can't tell, Im a battery snob lol. If an app is using too much battery I get rid and find an alternative I also only have 44apps installed )

If I have long calls, play any games or use 3g data more than 2-3 hours in a day I have to recharge (yellow/orange/red battery indicator <25%?).
Update your ROM dude! The new Froyd or Floyo (my favorite), either one with the newest Flykernel, will greatly improve battery life and performance. It's worth spending the time doing it.
ROM: fusionrom update 10 (pity there's no update 11 with final cyanogen sources)
Kernel: flykernel 12a

usage: 20-30 sms a day, wifi and data when i need it, gps rarely
3 days
Apparently these are the idle and talk times.
Talk time (up to):
610 hr
Standby time (up to):
610 hr
That's what it says here anyway
http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/pay-monthly/samsung-galaxy-s-ii/
I think my battery is good, it doesn't seem to go down more than 1% after an hour or so on idle. That means 100 hours or 4 days of idle. Obviously less when used.
610 hours on standby would be 25 days or nearly 4 weeks. Even if the phone had the absolute minimal amount of battery draining apps, where on earth do they get these numbers from? What current day phone could not need charging for even a week, let alone a month?
With only a small amount of syncing I get about 2 percent over 8 hours of pure standby. So I suppose 600 odd hours may be reachable but 610 hours of call time.... well.
Never used pure standby for any longer though.

Hello everyone,
In this thread I intend to post my battery results with different combinations of ROMs and kernels.
Kernels are flashed as the come and not modified by any apps (trickster, kernel auditor), not governors or anything else.
When testing I will charge the phone no less than six hours. Over the years and with any handset that I´ve had I´ve realised that if I unplug the phone when the phone says it is fully charged (generally 2 - 3 hours) the battery will last less than if I leave the phone charging for 6 - 8 hours (I always charge my phone when I sleep). I will also use the phone in a similar way when running tests, this is, if one day I use sports tracker for an hour when I dont usually do that I wont be posting those results because it wouldnt be fair.
The test info will include:
ROM:
Kernel:
Usage on battery (how long since you unplug):
SOT:
Relevant info (any info worth mentioning, I´ll try to keep this short):
I understand that my results will not be your results, from experience I have come to the conclusion that user settings (and I include here user apps) is what is most important to how long a charge will last. However I expect that the info in this thread will at least give some general idea of how a particular combination may perform in comparison with other combinations.
I recently read on xda (cant remember where) that flashing away will eventually fry your phone´s circuits (regarding this issue please see post #24, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=66766942&postcount=24, thanks to @souler456 ) so anybody willing to help is welcome providing you will follow the test guidelines stated above.
Any suggestions are welcome

Hello,
I meant "1st 25% consumed" but I understand it can lead to confusion, thanks for pointing out, I´ll change it.
@fluffier thank you so much for this thread.
