whenever i try to play any video on my touchpro2 it gives me an error
"The source filter for this for file couldn't be loaded."
can anybody help me out please ?

I think we need more info. What ROM are you using? The title already states WMP so that helps. What format is the file, i.e. mp4, asx, avi? You may want to try a different player. I have had success with the Nitrogen player or the TCPMP by CORE.
And of course do a search. You can use my sig for an easy search or just google "The source filter for this for file couldn't be loaded".
actually i am using official t-mobile 6.5 windows. it was working fine but suddenly i don't know why it stopped working. i had to install windows again to get over this problem.
now the problem is solved thanx for reply

It's probably a case of your DirectShow filters getting bonked. If it shows up again, take a look at THIS thread...the fix in the last post might save you the trouble of having to reflash again.
P.S. you don't happen to go to Embry-Riddle, do you?

Well yes, I went to Riddle...but since I don't recognize the name of that school, it probably tells you how many years it's been (....like 20 )

Ahhh yes ok....I do have a few DBCC anecdotes and memories floating around. I seem to remember the main campus being just around the corner from ERAU, like right up Clyde Morris, then E a block or so on 98? (92..? whatever lol).
I fly for fun, but no, not a commercial pilot....I was actually going for avionics engineering (flight control systems), but had to leave when my Navy scholarship was rescinded due to medical reasons that came up (bad lung). So now instead I just like to run around the yard in figure 8's, with my arms stretched out, making jet noises
For a living, I talk to people. Professionally lol. And take pictures sometimes.

now it DBCC is not that small it has a huge campus so many buildings and they are still expending it. laster year a medical college was built and soon a musical school is coming there. and it has also got a great teacher's staff.

There's actually a number of other degree programs there than that....flying and aeronautical engineering are the same thing. I was in avionics engineering, and there's also other things like APP (Airframe + Power Plant), aviation meterology, even aviation psychology, and more

Hey guys I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem with their phone;
The other day I was on the phone when it started raining. After the call I saw my phone had gotten wet but I have a crystal case to protect it, so as soon as I got home I wiped it down and took it apart and left it to warm & dry off (I learnt my lesson with previous electronics to never use it when it could be wet inside).
After leaving it for 4 hours in a warm airing cupboard it works... kinda...
My screen now goes black for a period of time, and the backlight flickers before going black (just like when fluorescent lights flicker). Then I cannot see anything at all.
I can still receive calls & answer them, although I cannot see who is calling. but I definitely cannot make calls
Sometimes when I leave it for a few hours the screen just comes back on randomly but I cannot put up with this.
Should this fault be covered by the HTC warranty?

it can be a little messy and there's a chance of possibly getting a little granual in your device but I have heard nothing but good word from people who have had the same issue and actually put their devices in rice to allow the granuals to absorb all the moisture.

I wasn't swimming when answering the call, it was raining... im sure all mobiles are supposed to be built to accept that weather happens (to a certain degree ofcourse) with the exception of super freezing and super warm environments.
It's a shame that pretty much all phone repair stores near me (in Birmingham) look very dodgy,
I've mailed HTC and they were trying to be helpful but in the end they referred me to call their Support line to arrange repairs.
Anyway I'm going to fear that this will have to come under "water damage" repairs... how much would you suspect that to cost?

As I live in Lahore am finding it extremely difficult to find an app which shows correct time for sehri and iftar as per Pakistan time zone. I have tried one from the market MasjidNow Lite but it doesn't show the correct time. Hope anyone can help me. Thanks

How incorrect would it be? A difference of about 2-3 minutes is acceptable I'd say. I use Adhan Alarm for my praying times, but usually with such apps you could select a particular calculation method that you'd like to use.
Maybe your region uses different calculation method, might be useful if you try experimenting which method that give the praying times that's more closely resembles your local schedule.
From my experience, the app only gave wrong prayer times for regions with high latitude (such as Norway, where I live right now) and during the extreme summer/winter times.

it seems to be linked with wrong time zone as it turns out that instead of +5 GMT for Islamabad in clock, i have +6 GMT ... the time for namaz is out almost by an hour. I hope HTC fixes this in an update

I don't see why any of those apps should be bugged. It has to be one of the simplest functions to code, so i bet any one with any java skills at all will be able to make one that always shows the right time.

Thank you for the well-wishes It's actually quite complex to calculate, since it need to be able to simulate when the sun is at some certain position (i.e. rising, directly above the head, setting down) when seen from which and which latitude/longitude. You can say that it's some kind of mini-Stellarium.
And on top of that, there's various calculation methods that might be preferred by various school of thought, some prefer a fixed interval, some prefer a certain degrees of declination/inclination of the sun, etc. But I think nowadays there's a basic calculation library/algorithm for it, so using those kind of code libraries, it should be quite uniform.

It's very important to stay on the freeway as long as possible when traveling in Detroit. Android GPS insists on taking me through crack dealer and prostitute hangouts. These may be more direct but the freeway is faster and safer. Google needs to do something about this before they get someone killed.

if I'm not mistaken it says that you are not to use google nav for driving and you use the app at your own risk...... well it use to have a popup that said that.
Every time I try to go to Europe google tries to have me killed. It keeps me on the freeway for a while, then all of a sudden I'M IN THE OCEAN AND I CAN'T SWIM. AHHHHHHHHHH.

Now I also will admit if it takes you to certain areas on the eastside by e. warren or westside by joy then you do have to be a lil concern. Otherwise, everything else is ok.

i was going to propose an app, that was community based, where users plot areas that are sketchy, then this is overlayed google maps and the navigation steered you around those areas.
