New ICS ROM: N7000zslpf_n7000ozslpf_ozs - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Did anyone had a chance to review or it is too early?

As mentioned above:
There seems to be a different leak, N7000ZSLPF_N7000OZSLPF_OZS (Android 4.0.3) Taiwan locale. http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-N7000&r=2#regiona
Sam mobile say it is a full wipe rom .

Interesting to see what kernel version it uses

Would be nice if it used a 'safe' kernel....

Downloading now, will probably flash to try, maybe minus the bootloader to start.

downloading, too.
Please report back how it was after flashing. I really want the Traditional Chinese CSC to be honest.

Just checked. This is in fact a Hong Kong firmware.
CSC codes are TGY and BRI.
Have not flashed yet though

Looks like it has some sort of new bootloaders bundled to it as well.
I'm too afraid to flash now after my first note was bricked by the LP series.

I'd also steer clear of anything with bootloaders.

Calling for the brave people who would test this new rom. We want to check if this rom will be SAFE considering it has a new bootloader.

is it possible that the bootloader plays into all our bricking issues?

I will answer the call! (I've had a good run so far with ICS) Flashed with a repartition, booted up fine. *2767*3855#, wiped, all good again. Will post an update or two once I continue my usual setup.
EDIT:
Kernel Version
3.0.15-N7000ZSLPF-CL558430
[email protected] #3
SMP PREEMPT Tue May 15 15:49:39 KST 2012
EDIT EDIT:
Sorry folks, can't see any sign of the Premium Pack =/
EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Well, so far so good. Seems a little smoother then LPY, not a single crash or reboot. Looking good. Of course, only time will tell, YMMV etc etc But I would say go for it unless one of the devs says otherwise

Odin PC with repartition set, I haven't rooted my Note as of yet, sorry (Probably don't plan to either)

Can you provide the screenshot of which to selected for which file?

I just flashed with Mobile Odin Pro (from Chrack 18). Injected Everroot, SuperSU and Odin Mobile.
No problem.
Installation was fast. Just connecting to Market. Will add more infos later.

Ok flash freaks, it's now available:
Firmware: http://www.multiupload.com/SKUPDRAOKL
Stock Kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/2FF735VQD5
Password: [email protected]
Frankenstein XEUKH2 version: http://www.multiupload.com/NAPKDLWC5B
Been using it a few days now and it's worth while updating from XXKI3.
Can I ask what differences you have noticed yourself?
Stability/speed differences? Features?
Thanks in advance

Intra, which CSC have you used in the XEU package. (as in KD1, KI3 etc)
Is this a newer version than ki8 or is it between ki3 and ki8?

Ok, I'm confused.
A new ROM with the same code as an old one?
Is it 2.3.5 or .4?
Shouldn't we be getting KJ ROMs, since we are pass mid October?
I just want to confirm the Frankenstein version is non wipe as before? Also, does it have the old bootloader? Thanks.

you are wrong the other KI4 was XWKI4 2.3.4
this one is XXKI4 2.3.5
To answer my own (and another) question:
The XEU package includes the KH2 CSC file
Yes, the XEU package is non-wipe, as it's a 1 file flash in Odin (that's the quick way to tell if it's wipe or not)

EDIT2: after update...i didn't like it much, and just restore my nadroid backup (vr3.0 KI4,syiah2.1.1)...unfortunately, my baseband remain I9100BVKJ4. Maybe with this baseband, the usb jig exploit will not work anymore ...i will test it tomorrow at work

Not necessary, keep it MD5., it is an acceptable file type for Odin
I noticed on this build. In the menu where you hold down the power button the option to turn data on/off is missing. You can still power off, reset, airplane mode. The data option is missing. I kind of miss it. I found an app that does it with the pressing of an icon, but its just one more icon to clutter up the desktop.

From the lettering scheme (LD3) this looks to be the first release version of ICS pushed by Samsung.
Every other ICS build todate has been an LPx where the P denotes a prerelease. LD3 is a proper build from April 2012.

Does anyone know if this baseband helps Bluetooth at all, or would I need the whole upgrade for that? The release info-graphic Motorola put out says the update improves Bluetooth connectivity, so I am just curious. My Voyager Legend disconnects mid call when wifi is on sometimes.
Thanks!
well i kept putting off installing the new radio as i knew it was going to re-lock it and i would have to do the sim unlock again(not hard do to i just didn't want to swap hard drives). with that being said i installed this Friday night and to my surprise it didn't re-lock the radio. i was shocked as it should have re-locked it but did not so i would say if u are using the sim unlock and want the new radio this is prob the better way to get it over the ota. wifi seems to be performing a little better it only dropped the signal once in my bedroom last night instead of every 5 min like it was doing(yes i know its the phone every other device i have tested doesn't do it). cell signal seems to be about the same, but i am using a net10 att sim so the signal may be better on vzw's towers. i have not tested bluetooth yet as i only have one thing that uses it and that is my moga controller. i am on the 7-30 build of aokp if you wanted to know that.

I *think* I have the most current firmware so flashing this would be just to fix problems, correct? Or maybe I'm not reading the version correctly? My build number says MMB29M.N930TUVU1APGC. Also, can someone tell me what the prefixes in the OP reference? (AP, BL, CP, etc.)
Sorry for the dumb question... My rooting days ended with Note 2 and I promise I searched.

You are correct...should you need to be able to flash full stock Odin tar to recover a brick, this is your file lol the prefixes in the files are BL=BOOTLOADER, CP=MODEM, and AP is basically your rom/recovery tar slot...there's a slot that's associated with each mount point in the physical storage for each separate partition in the device, and there's a few others but I'd only concern myself with these 3 until you're up to speed on recent techniques...AP is basically sort of the "general purpose" slot, you'll use it for recovery images, supersu tars, twrp tars, full roms in tar format, etc...BL and CP you ONLY FLASH WHEN YOU HAVE EXACT AND SPECIFIC INDIVIDUAL BOOTLOADER OR MODEM TARS! I can't stress this part enough...screw up and flash a different device variant recovery in AP slot, you can always save, flash the wrong bootloader and you've got a paperweight...so don't play unless you're sure of what you have or just don't care about a grand and got it like that lol
Hope that helps, I'd suggest making Google my biatch for a while until you're current on what's happening software-side....good luck!

Is this the original firmware from the August launch? I'm seeking a clean build without the annoying gigantic safety warning box while charging nor the stop at 60% battery life update. It would be nice to return the phone to original August launch conditions so I can just use Package Disabler to block all unwanted updates.
