Page 20 of the manual:
Just having a quick read through page 20 is a bit worrying
Insert a memory card (optional)
Your device accepts microSD™ or microSDHC™ memory
cards with maximum capacities of 32 GB (depending on the
memory card manufacturer and type).
Your device supports only the FAT file structure for
memory cards.
WTF
Thought it was supposed to support 64gb and Xfat????

It's most likely an error, since they have openly advertised that the phone will be supporting 64GB SDXC cards

Regardless, you can still make it a FAT32 and it will work. You will just have a 4GB limitation which I don't think people will be carrying files that large. But I'm sure it's a typo.
I've never been so excited about reading a user manual.

I hope it will work with 64gb, it's already ordered. Didn't the S2 manual say the same? 32gb+fat?

If I understand that bolded text correctly, this manual is from last December.

But the last page says:
English (EU). 05/2012. Rev. 1.0
But it's a definite typo. I think.
Shouldn't let the apprentice do the proof reading

Yeah most likely it's 5-11-2012. Those foreigners always putting the date in weird formats.

The ICS manual of the S2 reads just the same, word by word and we all know, 64gb sd cards work on the S2.
So I think there is no need to worry, isn't it?!

Also I recall there's really no difference other than it shouldn't assume max storage is 32GB which some software does.

Yes, thanks I fixed it. also added the specs from the HTC page
Added Updates to wiki
Cool idea hope more people add to it over the time :0
6/2/2010 - Updated
Mods/Admins - Can we sticky this thread please
Added/edited a couple tidbits of info
Added information on swapping out PRL's to straight Verizon towers (for legacy alltel users, which happens to add "Verizon Wireless" to the pull down and lock screens) as well as information on swapping out PRL's to a hybrid Alltel first then Verizon towers. The hybrid is useful for people that live in the older Alltel areas that don't have great Verizon towers.
adb
What about adding an adb section to the wiki?
thank you so much for this! Free tethering ftw!
just to make sure, it is confirmed 32 GB on the SD card, because all of verizon says only 16?

32GB cards are usable, however the current firmware only recognizes the first 16GB. This should be fixed in the future, but if you want to load up your MicroSD card with 16GB+ of music, picture, videos, etc, you might not be able to do so as of now.
added getting better battery life via hidden menu. (may not not work for some)

That's not true anymore. All the new Incredible's in the green boxes come with a 2gb card pre-installed. The older ones should have come with a 2GB card in separate retail packaging, but they are pre-installed now. So they always came with a 2gb card.

RFS Filesystem?

RFS Filesystem? Anyone know the answer to this? I would think that this would be a no for sure because a.) Samsung wouldn't surely cripple the Google developer phone with this. B.) Google wouldn't let them I wouldn't think. I would love to know the answer to this because it it does have this I WOULDN'T even begin to consider after sewing how bad it cripples my fascinate.

A google developer stated that it uses EXT4 and some other filesystem I cannot remember.
If I remember correctly, RFS was put there because Android 2.2- can't handle large internal storage, which has been corrected in 2.3. So logically, there would be no need for RFS in 2.3+

Never heard of that. It's been proven that all the partitions that use RFS can be replaced with EXT4. /system /data /dbdata and /cache. Heck even /efs if you wanted to, but it's not recommended at all.

From the linked blog post, bold is mine.
The reason this should be of concern to Android developers is that with 2.3, an increasing proportion of devices, notably including the Nexus S, are going to be moving from YAFFS to the ext4 filesystem, which buffers much more aggressively; thus you need to be more assertive about making sure your data gets to permanent storage when you want it to.

It's all Google at the software end. All Samsung has done for the Nexus S is build the phone according to Google's requests.
What makes me question whether it not android can handle large amounts of internal storage, is the Droid x, it has 8gb so I think that line thinking is out the window.
Edit; it is completely ok if I'm wrong just thought your logic was a littfle off

Bluetooth is downgraded to 2.1, so yes, I suppose they ran out of 3.0 modules.....curved screen (which i like) and useless NFC chip are the only 2 what you might call improvements....
and i am just curious....how do you know that it has different GPS, WIFI modules, and that it uses different brand storage ? Could you please provide a link to fact.
See the FCC page, it shows that the WiFi & GPS antennas are different. As for the internal storage, see the Nexus S announced thread in General, a guy from Google(Svetlana) has confirmed the same.
Here, links. This is what I mean by, Google has a huge amount of say in this phone. That's why its not just a Galaxy S remodeled.

Is this legit?

I was tooling around Craigslist today looking for a good deal on a tablet, when I found this post. The first thing I noticed was the price, so I had to check it out.
The guy is claiming to have added more internal memory into the Nexus, making the memory a grand total of 80 gigs....
I am a bit puzzled by this, since I have read nothing about anything close to this kind of modification. Is this legit or is the dbag trolling for money?

I sent an email asking for pictures with a recent newspaper or blank piece of paper with the word "banana" written on it. We shall what this guy is trying to sell, if he responds of course!
These have been on eBay too. While I don't doubt the possibility of soldering memory to the USB bus internally, I highly doubt that a seller would be doing this without it being posted somewhere, on some forum, to completion.
The eBay sells turn out to be OTG packages. Its likely this will too.

Operation 32gb sd card!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883582
I remember seeing this back when I had the HD7. Thought it was interesting. So why not buy an 8GB and rip it open and replace the mem chip>?
I know you will have to be a man with an iron heart and nerves of steel to crack it open.
But I am sure someone will! May be...
Well i don't think that the nexus uses a SD card i think it uses something called Nand chip but i am not sure
I didn't know it was truly an SD chip in there. Even class 10 SD memory isn't all that fast.
If it does actually use a micro sd card, and it's actually accessible, that would be revolutionary news! No one would need the 16GB version
I don't think so.

Some manufacturer should make a case with a micro-usb to sd-card integrated on it.
I'm quite sure the device is using nand flash memory chip, would make no sense to include an internal SD Card.
If you look at this the user manual on the FCC website, there's a section about using a memory card. It's located at page 32 if you use Acrobat and page 33 of the guide. And page 33 or 34, it says "NOTE: The LG-E960 supports memory cards up to 64 GB."
There's no slot but they say how to mount/dismount SD card...

Can not mount it through recovery either.
It does not show up in Partition Wizard for me to change the format.
