Hello there,
My Sd Card Recently unmounted unsafely through boot.
I was using the rom Omega v25, SD was damaged.
Is there any solution to fixing it?
I had tried formatting it but there is no media to format.
Any help would be appreciated.
I can not see it in recovery totally invisible, Ive tried mounting it through Phone settings and it will not mount.
Can not mount it through recovery either.
It does not show up in Partition Wizard for me to change the format.
I Have attached a Image for what it shows in disk management.

It sounds like what happened to my sandisk card, just randomly unmounted and that was it. Phone wouldn't read it, PC wouldn't even pick it up either, totally dead. I contacted sandisk customer support and they replaced it as it was still under warranty.

Ridata yes. Isnt enough good for you? Or you only know Samsung maybe? Rude. Learn some culture. Ridata is a subcompany of Ritek (but you dont know nothing about either for sure, lol) around the world, no only of SD Cards: HERE

Yes yes yes... if I can add, I'm just awaiting for my super duper 128GB micro SDXC card which will be delivered to me by man with big red flag and trumpet, followed by special courier riding the golden donkey. They have to move slowly on motorways, so they are moving in the police escort, but today, finally, I will have my card.
did I mentioned that it will have the warranty covering the lifetime of 4 generations?
Going back to topic: I always think that ppl can be divided into the two categories:
Cat 1: those who are making backups regularly;
Cat 2: those who will learn that they shall do...

Of course I know Ritek. A brand that also makes writeable media. A brand I also avoid like the plague as it's substandard.
So, still waiting for an a-brand micro SD card, 32GB, 5 pounds.

I was tooling around Craigslist today looking for a good deal on a tablet, when I found this post. The first thing I noticed was the price, so I had to check it out.
The guy is claiming to have added more internal memory into the Nexus, making the memory a grand total of 80 gigs....
I am a bit puzzled by this, since I have read nothing about anything close to this kind of modification. Is this legit or is the dbag trolling for money?

I Would say message him and ask for Pictures . tell him you want a blank piece of paper in the background of the pictures slightly under the tablet with say random numbers written on it .. 4567 or 9034 .. hehe anything. I sent an email asking for pictures with a recent newspaper or blank piece of paper with the word "banana" written on it. We shall what this guy is trying to sell, if he responds of course!
These have been on eBay too. While I don't doubt the possibility of soldering memory to the USB bus internally, I highly doubt that a seller would be doing this without it being posted somewhere, on some forum, to completion.
The eBay sells turn out to be OTG packages. Its likely this will too.

I remember seeing this back when I had the HD7. Thought it was interesting. So why not buy an 8GB and rip it open and replace the mem chip>?
I know you will have to be a man with an iron heart and nerves of steel to crack it open.
But I am sure someone will! May be...
Well i don't think that the nexus uses a SD card i think it uses something called Nand chip but i am not sure
I didn't know it was truly an SD chip in there. Even class 10 SD memory isn't all that fast.
If it does actually use a micro sd card, and it's actually accessible, that would be revolutionary news! No one would need the 16GB version
I don't think so.

Some manufacturer should make a case with a micro-usb to sd-card integrated on it.
I'm quite sure the device is using nand flash memory chip, would make no sense to include an internal SD Card.
If you look at this the user manual on the FCC website, there's a section about using a memory card. It's located at page 32 if you use Acrobat and page 33 of the guide. And page 33 or 34, it says "NOTE: The LG-E960 supports memory cards up to 64 GB."
There's no slot but they say how to mount/dismount SD card...

It's also missing pictures on those pages, so can't really tell if the manual is just not in line with the actual device.
Could be just an early adaptation from the Optimus G user guide.

Hi Guys,
I'm getting a 16GB LG G2 and was wondering how USB OTG works? Can I use a micro-USB to SD card adapter while using USB OTG? I guess it should work...
The one I have the idea of using is this. Its just easier for me as I already have a micro SD card and its less bulky then lets say as flash drive...

Similar... there are. Saw some knock offs. But rather go with quality I would say.
Check even in here, saw some threads.
And the second question. Yes I guess. There are also hacks, mods for rooted phones.
Maybe some native apps too. But did not yet check them out.
Also, since it's USB 2 it's max 30MBs, rather yet lower. Depending on the sd as well. As such might not be suitable for a full hd bla bla extreme video.

type meenova in your browser its a great way to use your micro sd cards and with say es file manager or other you can move, copy files to and from your micro sd card it supports upto 32gb I think but not tried it with anything higher-the "meenova is about 10-15 dollars and it comes from hong kong so it took about a week to get here you can track it if you want -I think it looks a lot better than a usb stick stuck out of the bottom !

I really don't want to get Meenova as I can't justify 9 quid for this...Although its looking more and more like I will have to get it...
Best way to describe the issue is when I take a photo the end result is a the photo obscured by a grey box. I have changed for now all my photos to be stored on my phone device and then I move manually to my SD card. I am not sure why this happened only started a couple of days ago. If I try to upload a photo to FB it says it is not a correct piece of media also I have noticed apps are disappearing from my device and i think these are apps that were stored on the SD card... Could the SD card be corrupt? it is a 64GB card I am running all stock software apart from Nova Launcher (free version) and using DCikonz for icon... I've not had any issue and I have had the SD card for months now.
You are right. My cousin had same problem. Your SD is corrupted. He changed it and he is happy now :highfive:

Howdy All,
So I'm a little sketchy of this, and about to be slightly ticked off. Got my One in the mail today, the 64gb Sandstone Black model. The packaging says 64gb etc, but on the phone under storage it's coming up 'short.' So anyone with a 64gb can confirm it's short based on their device, before I contact OnePlus? Unless it's just reading the storage wrong...

I don't believe so, it states the 'global version' on the box. And came with the US charger, so I'm confident it's the US version. Additionally i pull LTE speeds with Tmobile.

Did you flash any ROM on that ? Is it really 64 GB ( showing as 16GB )
If it is due to some s/w issue ...you can try a solution as below...
=======================================
take backup and go to fastboot mode and flash only userdata_64g.img from cm11s stock rom
(You need to check the lock status of the bootloader , it should be unlocked to flash img from fastboot)
Command
fastboot flash userdata userdata_64g.img

So my suggestion worked !!!
Enjoy you phone with more space...
While I'm glad you got it resolved, I do think it's kinda crummy that you even had to do this in the first place. OnePlus clearly has some kinks to work out in their product, and with the other issues that have been reported, I'm really thinking they weren't quite ready for prime time just yet. Mine should be here tomorrow or Saturday, can't wait to find out what problems I'm going to encounter with it.
Just playing a bit a devil's advocate.......
Flashing the 64gb.userdata.img is looking a bit like a voodoo magic.
What if the phone is a 16GB model in reality and OP just tricks the system to "think" it has 64GB on board.....
Suddenly are coming back in my memory all these stories about fake SanDisk SD cards which were flashed
with some kind of images to be mounted in WinExplorer and MacFinder as , let's say, 32GB; but in reality had only 1GB of physical memory.
Or it's not possible to be done on a phone???
Explanations and arguments from more technically educated members are really appreciated!

Or it's not possible to be done on a phone???

thats a good point i was wondering that, to the OP would you mind finding a massive file above 16gb in size and place in onto your phone and tell us if it fits and the phone is indeed 64gb or if it doesn't and its only 16gb

It did, and again, I really appreciate it.

Aside from this 'issue,' I haven't had any issues with the phone. Everything works, radios, etc. I haven't had the 'yellow screen' / band issue either. It's pretty solid.

Well, I don't think the latter could happen, because like a computer partition, if you had 100gb drive and you did a 50/50 split, it'd be fine. But if you tried to make that 50 a 60gb partition, the system check would scream at you. So it's possible that a flash from the rom from the the toolkit / initial flash had the 16gb partition and over wrote it, leaving the rest 'unavailable.' With the zip you pull the files from it has both user images.
My take on it with schooling and computer knowledge.
A REAL test to do at this point would be if someone has a 16gb model to flash the 64gb user data img and see what happens. In the correct scenario, it should still show up as 16, cause that's greater than it's rated for. In the 'whacky' scenario, OnePlus would have had all the devices on a 64gb chip and just made the partition smaller, not seeing this happen.

I'm not convinced because in your example with the computer, you try to partition a correctly imaged drive under working operation system....
So no wonder it would scream at you.
But in your case, the phone is in "unconscious" state and nothing is checking what you are flashing.
You flash whatever image in order to MAKE the operation system to recognize the hardware the way how it's presented by flashed image.
And again, it seems that nothing is checking what you are flashing, because if it would be a check presented, the adb should not allow you to flash 16GB image over your 64GB drive in a first place.
In any case the situation is looking weird, and I would be happy if you get 64GB on board.
But to get a peace of mind, I second the @no_username_available suggestion to load your phone with something above 16 GB trash-hold and see what is going to happen.

Well yes, we are talking the same thing regarding the computer and the partition, I just let people connect the dots to show that the One system isn't 'signed' to say the least. And i completely agree with you regarding adb.
Though I can confirm the ''test'' he suggested, as when mine was 'showing' as a 16gb model, with 12 usable and 10gb available, tried dropping 20gb of music on it from my lappy and came up with the typical insufficient storage message.

That looks spooky....
Makes me think again that there is nothing for free in this world and a double price for all other flagships is a premium for working hardware, software and customer support....

Right, but now you have 64GB Now is the test time to drop your 20 gig of music and to see what is going to happen!
