[ICS Sammy Rom Kernel TEST] Siyah/Phenomenal/Abyss/??????/ - Galaxy S II General

ROM:WANAM [ROM][04 May][DXLP9][V11.5]
Firstly i have realized that all kernel test threads are focused on AOSP/AOKP/CM9 based roms and i would just like to make one for sammy based ics roms.
All tests are done on the first run of the kernel, keep in mind that battery life and standby time will improve if i had continued using the rom+kernel combo a few more battery cycles.

Thanks to this post my phones battery is going to last a lot longer May i ask, how do you take a screenshot on your phone?
I use G3Mod Ultimate 1.3.4 200-1200 Mhz and I keep it simple
I have just one option enabled in profile, which is if temp > 40 clock 200-400 conservative
Rest I have kept it at 200-800 Mhz On Demand at all times.
When I play Games I set it to 600-1200 On Demand.
I have been using it since 1.3.4 G3Mod Ultimate was released, and have not faced any Overheating, Lags, freezes what so ever. It does last around 1.5 to 2 days.
My quadrant score (ofcourse other tweaks as mentioned in my signature also applies)
at 600-800 on demand is around 590
at 600-1200 on demand is around 710

Overclocking the GPU isnt possible manually, its part of the kernel (I think)
The new adreno libs are drivers released for ur adreno gpu by the manufacturer, Qualcomm. The ICS libs have been implemented directly into the ICS Tom's whereas the Adreno200 libs have a flashable zip.
Btw 1390 with Antutu is quite low. What rom are u on?

No its not possible. The Blade has an arm6 CPU of 600 MHz. Clocking it to 844 MHz causes reboots. Clocking to 1500 (which is theoretically impossible since no kernel supports that) will literally cause the phone to explode
Libs from this topic.

Post your Antutu Benchmark Scores with a screenshot

It's always interesting to compare the Antutu scores of our devices (tweaked or not tweaked), even if doesn't necessarily reflect the real user experience.
Advices before to perform the test:
- reboot your device
- wait for 10 mn
- do it

make sure you have fully rooted your phone. I flashed SUPERSU by chainfire after flashing this mod.
It maybe that you have lost root access after flashing this mod. Just flash SUPERSU again, then use some root checker app to check if your root is enabled again.

flashed the mod on sMiui which is rooted by default, flashed SuperSu again immediately after flashing the mod (even without rebooting as the instructions say)...
even after that CpuZ and the other apps say that my governor is "interactive"
True. Always interactive in mine too. Fully rooted /w sMIUI etc. Also the energy consumption was noticably worse, and the phone was not entering 'deep sleep'. Tried also to disable MIUI's energy management and restrictions in case there was a conflict.
Do you mean "scaling governor"? Mine shows "ondemand". Is it correct then?
Btw, what governor shows CPU-Z before the flash of MPDECISION?

what rom and how exactly u flashed it ?
it is interactive by default
P.S.
hotplug works though, it shuts down cores, just that the governor is still interactive (which actually shoud lead to more smooth performance at minimum cost).

I have Xiaomi.eu ROM dev MIUI 8 6.7.28
I didn't have root before flashing all so I restarted in recovery, flashed MPDECISION zip and then SuperSu Zip (downloading before the SuperApp). After all I wiped chache and dalkiv.
My cores shut down too. Now let's see if this really improves battery life, because before they didn't shut down, right?
And what governor is better: ondemand or interactive?

Hi,
i am dev of that mod.
I changed the governor of 1st core to interactive to achieve a little smoother unlocking of the phone. all other cores are running on ondemand.
Most of the Apps like CPU-Z only show governor of the first core "cpu0" because they assume that the governor is the same for all cores.
Should have added that to the Blog, sorry for that.
If anyone encounters battery drain, don't jump into concluding it's the mod. In the past two miui dev releases there is a bug with FP unlock which does not allow cores to go into deep sleep etc. So if you don't see improvement, try disabling fingerprint unlock until upstream release is patched.

Edit: Going to Flash With NOS ROM, will be back to report results
A quick review after flashing this kernel a few hours ago.
Single core performance with elementalX are good but multi core performance are a bit low compared to clarity kernel.
Touch are responsif, fingerprint a bit slow.
I'm using RR ROM. Looking forward for next update.

Okay after using it for awhile here are my results
-Fingerprint is kind of slow compared to Clarity
-CPU usage is bugged in Kernel Auditor
-Battery is very good, using Alucard Governor and been watching YouTube 1 hr already and it only drained 2%
edit: sorry for the late reply Tapatalk won't allow me to post

oh.. same with lh kernel oc up to 1.5.. hope they also include kernel with default clock speed...
Loving the kernel but there's no alucard hot plug (( the reason I flashed this kernel. Still great battery (alucard governor) regardless. Hope you add it very soon.
