Carphonewarehouse pre order - Free Tab - Galaxy S III General

Placed my order from carphonewarehouse to get the free Galaxy Tab 10.1 but still not got confirmation email.
Has anyone else ordered from carphonewarehouse got emails from them?

I ordered from them early this morning and the confirmation email took 4 hours or so to arrive.
No mention of the free tab in the confirmation though.
They have changed the deal now to a memory card, however when you buy it didn't add the tab and it doesn't add the memory card to the basket so hard to determine how it works.

I pre-ordered about 9.50pm last night, got confirmation of pre-order at 10.01 this morning - no confirmation on pre-order. Managed to get through on the phone and they said they didn't know if it was an order that qualified. Crazy! Would be interested to hear if anyone gets confirmation of the free Tab from CPW.

I ordered around 9.50pm last night and only got 2nd confirmation email this morning around 11am.
There was mention on both Facebook and Twitter that if you ordered last night then it's more than likely you've gotten the free tab.
Apparently, there will be a separate confirmation email that you got a tab being sent out but according to different sources they range from sometime today to within the next 7 days.
Also, there are conflicting reports but some people over at HUKD ordered this morning around 9-10am said they have had some sort of confirmation over the phone...

Presumably this is for new orders rather than upgrades?

CPW just called to offer me the SGS 3 for £499.95 on pre-order and will be able to pick it up in store on release. I've not sprung for it yet as I'm waiting to see if O2 will do a smashing deal like they did with the SGS 2 on PayG for £399.00. Maybe I'll call CPW back later and pre-order, just need to think about this a bit.
The Sony Hayabusa is looking tempting but I need a phone with MicroSD slot and so far only the SGS 3 offers this option.

Clove are selling it for 549.99 but Amazon and Play are advertising it for £499.99

I just noticed this, if you phone CPW on 0870 0870870 and select option 2, the automated message says that if you had ordered a S3 with the free Samsung Tab offer before 10:30am today then you do not need to speak to an advisor and we will be contacting you shortly...

I ordered it last night, woke up to an email saying my order was cancelled. No idea why, they couldn't even tell me when I phoned up.
So I assumed it might be something to do with the credit check even though there is no reason it should have failed, I got my dad to place the order for me instead, got an email just through now saying it has been cancelled.
Haven't got a clue what is going on but the Tablet is out of the question now for me even though both those orders were before 10:30 this morning. I did speak to an advisor though who read out what they have been told which was that they will get in touch with you if you are getting the tablet, but couldn't say when as they don't even know themselves.

Just got my text so very happy about that. Ordered my S3 just before midnight yesterday. I only checked the CW site to see what deals they were doing. Never knew about the tab offer until then. Contract on my original Galaxy S comes to an end next month so it was a no brainer to sign for a new contract and the chance to get a tab thrown in. Will cancel my old contract next month.

Mad at cpw right now. No text yet. Order placed at 9.50 last night, confirmed at 10.01 this morning. Such a rubbish website too.. no order tracking (that I can see) and no easy way to make contact by email and difficult to get through to a human on the phone. Rubbish.

Tomorrow I call Abbey at CPW and will be reserving the S3.

Pretty sure if you ordered at 9.50 last night and got the order confirmed email at 10.01 this morning that you will get a tab. I assume you got the email that said "If you’re one of our first 1,000 customers to make a pre order, you’re entitled to a FREE Samsung Galaxy tablet!" ?
I think it's just taking time for the texts to get out to everyone.

ordered mine online at 11:00am today. then called CPW to ask if i had got a free tab, the guy i spoke to said if the advert was still up when i finished the order then i would get one as the website was set to auto revert to the sd card deal as soon as all the tabs had gone. i think i must have got in just in time.

Expansys Experience

I feel compelled to share my experience of dealing with Expansys UK for ordering the Galaxy S2.
Its really been a very disappointing level of service, for anyone thinking of ordering from them then bare in mind that I ordered my phone on the 8th May when it was listed as in stock. A day or two later when I checked on order tracking it reported 11 days till stock. Over the course of the last 22 days their site has listed it in stock on a number of occasions and my tracked order status has changed repeatedly. Now I understand there is stock issues on the unit but be warned that Expansys 'stock' levels are misleading. I subsequently emailed them for an update which they failed to respond too, so today I called them for an update only to be told that even though I had ordered from the UK site that my order had been transferred to Australia (where I live) and that I must call that office for an update. So despite my intention of getting it early from the UK it appears Expansys is playing games with my order. I have now decided to cancel my order as I don't want to give this company my money. Let's see if Handtec can provide better customer service! Really terrible experience with dealing with Expansys, please consider carefully if intending to hand over your money to them.

it is so annoying - especially with so many ohers getting theres form various places (including expansys us who are supplying polish uk models or whatever it is). i chose expansys for my preorder as id had good experiences before with devices/accessories. been very dissapointed with this purchase though. website has said 100+ instock for 3 days now

We bought my wife a Desire S from Expansys last month. It arrived DOA. Instead of telling us they would take care of it, we were told to send it back to them and THEY would decide if it would be replaced or sent to HTC for repairs depending on the state of the packaging.
This makes me nervous, it sounds like they would only replace it if they could resell the defective unit. The box also contained an extra unused security seal for the packaging, which is strange. Why would HTC provide you with a way to make it appear the box had never been opened?
We decided we would be better off to deal with HTC directly rather than send it back to Expansys and have them decide what would be in our best interest. 6 weeks later and it is in for a second round of repairs and my wife has yet to have a full days use of the phone.
This is why Expansys didn't get more order a couple weeks later when the SGS II came out. I'll never buy anything from them again.
this is definitely worrying. I dont think expanys is getting my cash. The thing that bugs me the most is places saying they have stock and yet it takes a month to get your phone.
Handtec looks promising. Is this phone still selling out or can i comfortably order and the phone will be in stock ??
I ordered from Expansys Canada on Friday, and so far they haven't given me a reason to not like them. My order shipped within 8 hours of me ordering, and Fedex says it will be here by 5pm today, which I kind of doubt since the status is still at "Shipping info sent to Fedex". I ordered when there was 44 In Stock.
Funnily enough though, when I look at my order status and click on the link to look at the phone, it says it's not available anymore, but the phone is there with a different link. Just thought that was odd.
can anybody confirm handtec has stock available? I checked the website and it says yes but you can never be sure...
I ordered a while ago from Clove. The day after I ordered I noticed the site said they were out of stock. I started to cancel my order to order from Handtec and then noticed they were out of stock as well. Went back to Clove to cancel my cancel request, they asked me if my order was urgent, I told them it was and they shipped it right away.. Guess they had a few in reserve. Anyway my point is Clove has been great to me, very professional and courteous even when I was wanting to cancel my order.

I've never actually ordered from them, but every time I try to get info from them they are "not the most customer service oriented". You have to give them credit for selling to pretty much the whole world though! I'm surprised there are none in Australia yet. Taiwan's Launch date is June 1.
Just to act as a counter-weight in this thread I thought I would post my experiences with Expansys...
Pre-ordered the SGSII early and got it delivered the 5th of May. They answered all my e-mails promptly and I had no issues with payment or anything else.
Have used them a couple of times before and never had any issues then either.
I ordered one from Expansys USA on Thursday with overnight shipping and received it Friday. I paid with my Paypal account and Paypal wouldn't let me apply the coupon that is available so my charge was $25 higher than it should have been. Within 20 minutes of ordering Expansys refunded the $25 without me having to contact customer service. I was pretty impressed with their service as a first time customer.

I ordered from Expansys.ca this past Tuesday night (around 11pm) and the phone was in my hands on Friday 3 days later. I had no problems with them. In fact, I gave them my wrong expiry date and someone from customer service contacted me and I was able to fix it early Wednesday morning.
Everyone will have different experiences. Especially since Expansys is worldwide. Different areas may have different issues
I can only speak from my experience with Expansys US. I had no issues what-so-ever. The communication was great, and shipping was spot on. They were everything I require in a seller. I imagine if I needed to return the device it would be the same experience.
Sent them a couple simple questions via email since ordering a SG2 on Friday. No contact since then. Horrible customer service. Sent a cancellation email for my order a couple minutes ago and I expect a full refund. I'll follow up in the morning. I understand it's a holiday weekend but this is unacceptable.
You realize their office hours are Monday-Friday 8-6pm right? Why would they respond if they are off for the weekend, especially on a holiday. You have no reason to be angry at them.
Expansys USA has been great as far as my order for the GSII went. I ordered on the 16th, shipped on the 24th and got it on 26th. No issues at all.

HTC One (3UK) orders Silver/Black

Just spoken to 3, they are sending out the Silver handset for delivery Friday, also calling customers that ordered the Black offering to swap with the Silver handset due to delays.
These delays being reported is I guess HTC showing priority to major retailers before anyone else.
Sorry for starting a new thread, just thought I'd share this where all 3 customers could see it......
Excellent news, glad i went with the silver in the end.
I did start to wonder if my order would be affected by all the delays.
Initial preorders wil be filled where possible but they won't get a large delivery until the 26th. Insider source.
Good news folks, got an email from three and my phone is ready for in store pickup tomorrow.
And due to other deals, they'll refund my £69 fee as well.

spoke to 3 earlier around 3ish and was told still could deliver tomorrow if order before 4pm. I didn't in the end as the tarrifs were working too expensive compared to T as an existing customer.
But lucky for me I ordered sim free from P4U getting it delivered tomorrow. It's left their warehouse.

What! I ordered from 3 yesterday an they said mine will be with me on 28th this month
Mines showing delivery Monday 25th but its not dispatched.
I ordered mine through Very with the same date of the 25th. Seeing as it was cheaper to pay for over couple of months. However after calling them 4 times to find out when I was going to receive the device I was given the suppliers number to call which turned out to be Nokia Support. I have since cancelled the order with Very and taken out a contract with 3 instead. Device should be with me by the 28th. Hopefully.

Hahaha! This made my day! lol I wonder what could have happened if some less knowledgeable people got that response They could have called nokia and inquired about HTC Epic fail!

Plus I want to be able to return it if build quality is pants and can't if bought in store.

Interesting and annoying that different stores have different prices for sim free.
I will be in that area next Friday but by that time Asda may have shipped mine so would need to go through hassle of returning it and refund for £40 saving.

On that basis, I will be taking the day off work on Monday and if it does not arrive I will be certainly giving them a piece of my mind. I have no confidence that it will be here/there on the 25th or 27th for that matter.
People buying from Very Handtec and Asda are all in the same boat. We have no actual ides when we will get our phones.
Only places that seem to give a realistic date is Three as they delivered phones this week as advertised.

There's a thread going with T-Mobile pre-orders in the Q&A forums. I pre-ordered on the 18th, first date it was available. Had an estimated delivery date of the 26th which came and went. My card was just charged yesterday, thinking they will start shipping today or tomorrow. My status is still as backordered.
This whole pre-order thingy is whack, should have just waited till Wednesday and gone in to get the N3 and Gear watch same time.

I pre-ordered on the 19th. My cash was held on Friday but I haven't received any shipping info. I've called in asking for the status and was told they won't ship anything until the 2nd. I'm thinking I should have just gone into the store since I ordered ground shipping and will have to wait that long now. Kinda sucks.

Now that you mentioned shipping that just made me more upset, $25 overnight shipping to get it maybe 1 or 2 days later than stores? WTF....
Also if there is a problem with the device, ordering in the store is MUCH easier because you can just walk in and swap it out. Online orders you have to ship it back to them, wait up to a week for them to look over it and hope they don't lose it (they lost my S4 for 3 weeks in their receiving warehouse) then mail you out another and you get charged $5 for a "swap" fee.
Top it off, you can't cancel the order once you pre-order it. This whole pre-order thingy stinks of BS. T-Mobile rep said to wait for it to ship (whenever that will be) then wait for the UPS man and refuse delivery, that's the ONLY way to cancel it. You'll lose your shipping charges too. Nice eh?
I forgive them though, they did get my LG G2 delivered to me 2 weeks before the store release date. =)
I had to order mine online to quality for my promotion (10% off service and $50 account credit). It also claims I'll have 2-4 days to wait for it (free shipping, no expedited option was available). I'm willing to be patient to save $218 over the course of two years, though

Went to the closest T-Mobile store yesterday. They will start selling them tomorrow. They will only get 8. The sales rep said I should be there as early as possible. I will have it first thing in the morning.

I called 5 stores and visited one in person on Monday. All the stores have them in stock and go on sale Wednesday. I didn't hear anything about low stock from any of them. Most likely the rep just wants to get you in there asap to get a commission, lol. I had one rep badger me to sign up with service now, then come back and buy the phone on Wed, lol.

I'm in SC and will also pick my note 3 up tomorrow around 10am we they open. And my area has 2 locations each with only 8-10 black in stock.

The T-Mo Corp Store I work in as a RSA got 15 of the black only. We do not have a Demo phone to show customers. I will be buying my phone tonight before I leave the store. Most of the stores that I talk to got under 15 some got demos some did not. My store has never sold out of a Galaxy phone on day one.

Well I have had mine since 1034am and so far I'm not liking it as much as the mega 6.3. It's basically the same size as the note 2 the no big difference there. There is auto correct while typing. It is rooted however the system is keeping certain root apps from working, such as wifi trevE mod which I still haven't figured out. Anyone that has a work around on the wifi trevE mod please by all means help me out with a link & screen shot of the settings. Thanks in advance.

T mobile nexus 6 cheaper for cyber monday

I have a blue 64gb on backorder called customer care and have them credit me due to the phone has not shipped and the price has been reduced. I don't know if this breaks any forum riles I just wanted to make anyone who has their phone still in backorder to check this out. I made sure enough get the csr name and ID number.

I didn't have the same luck. The CSR I spoke with said that she didn't have a way to credit me (64GB ordered on 11/24). Maybe it's because mine is new service and I don't have an account yet? She said that I'd have to do a new order on the web and then refuse the shipment of the first order. She also said that the 64GB is backordered with no information on when they would be available.
So for the people that ordered the 64gb version in-store on 11/19, are we screwed? Or is there some way to get credit for this? I see it says web-only orders but I still don't even have the phone yet and opted to pay in full for a new account/line.
I ordered mine in store last night? What's the new price? I got a 64 gig also.

Just called tmobile..I mentioned sale and they said I could cancel and reorder...then I mentioned I'm using Jump! was put on hold and they are crediting the eip on the nexus 6 in 2 weeks. CSR seemed to think I'd have the phone by Dec 15 to apply the credit so we shall see...
I ordered on the 19th for what its worth...makes the 64gb basically the same as the 32gb was initially... I'll take that and wait for my whale.

Mine should be out for delivery to my house today, but I still haven't paid for it yet.

Yeah it seems to be only for current customers. The csr also looked at my account. This phone release has been nothing but issues. But I guess this makes it a bit better since we are getting the phone for what the 32gb cost.

Mine is on backorder [emoji24]. Although if it ships at/after christmas that's OK....should be getting cases in my stocking.

I was on the phone with T-mobile for the past hour trying to deal with this, but eventually they took care of the issue.
Essentially I am a new customer - single line - switched from Verizon - paying for the 64gb Nexus 6 in full - but ordered the phone in store and paid the taxes in advance on 11/19 after specifically asking if they normally have black Friday/cyber Monday deals and being told no. I asked if there was a way to cancel my order somehow or reorder the phone with the current deal etc, because it sucks to be out $50 when I have been waiting 2-3 weeks for this damn phone being on backorder etc and still do not have the phone in hand (on top of being told that there wouldn't be any deals). They said that I would have to refuse my shipment because it's already shipped, re-order again right now and wait for the new one to get to me, and then they would refund me for the old phone so that I have saved a net $50. So then I asked what is the purpose of wasting both parties time and money when an account credit would be fine for me? They apparently didn't think of that.. and said it would be no issue lol. I'm not the type of person to go complaining to get free stuff, but this legitimately sucks because I was told by a manager that there wouldn't be any deals and I might as well just order the 64gb now while I'm already here.
Overall even though T-mobile's customer service is set up somewhat clunky, I am very impressed with everything they've helped me with so far (had to deal with them 3-4 times already in the past few weeks). Verizon would have told me to go **** myself.
Hopefully this helps anyone that's in a similar situation.

Just go back to that same store and get the price adjusted. They should be able to do it.
Too bad those people ordering today probably won't see their devices until February. Or, T-Mobile just might screw us early orders over again and ship items ordered today by x-mas. Which will make me hate it even more.

yup, if it was a 32gb either just returned or some new stock there is a good chance you will see it soon.
No dice here. Spoke with customer care and they transferred me to the "buyer's remorse" department. Both said the only thing I could do was cancel and reorder, but I would be placed in the back of the line for the phone. Not cool....
I just got off the phone with customer service. I ordered and received my phone the week before Thanksgiving after being told that they didn't have any deals planned. The CSR I spoke with today couldn't change the monthly charge, but did credit the $48 against EIP.
I bought mine on GPS with Discover.
It has 90day price protection.
I'll see if I can pricematch it to tmo's.
