My suggestion: either 1) call customer service to complain (*611) or 2) unlock your bootloader & flash a custom rom or 3) FTF back to 2.3.3 if you don't like it
Pax
I FTF'd back to 2.3.3, but it just auto updated. Any way to prevent this?

Yes, I forget where, BUT I believe it is in that big explorer window that has your phone pic in it.... There is an area in there settings-wise that will let you disable that. Hope this helps some..
Its in the quick launch..right click on the phone icon and you can set it from there

thanks worked like a charm.
So my phone is running hktw 2.3.4 fyi. Just got in the car to head home from work when my atrix shows the orange triangle caution notification icon. So I see what it is and it says "Enable Wifi to start download update". Figured blah blah its not good to download since I've read other people not being able to download. I'm sitting in traffic and decide screw it and turn on wifi tethering with my streak. Connect with my atrix and after little bit the update begins downloading. Random I know! Of course it its going slow as ****. As I'm finishing this post it is at 11 percent. Gonna be home soon so I'll connect to my wifi and get it quicker. Anybody else getting this update now. If I'm the first person to get it, how do I pull the update off the atrix for posting on the forums?

So I got all the way to 31 percent. Just got home and connected to wifi and the download progress disappeared. Wtf lol is there any log I can look at to see what it downloaded and possible a web address?

Try the software update, see if it finds it again, if so and you get it downloaded do install later then you can search for the file and upload it. I can't remember where it gets stored tho.
Now its just back to the same old BS about can't update when I click software update. This blows

And that he get's the update notification again, correct? I don't recall seeing that before. I thought it was notification, fail, done.
I'm having this problem for awhile, tried different things all end up when tethering my phone shuts off about 45min to 1h of tethering.
Currently on EC05, stock rom and wifi tether 3.0 pre 12 but tried them all and going down in version for more stable one.

Settings, choose device build and select the Epic.
Also, make sure 4G radio is OFF before starting it.
I have all that selected still no luck.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
this happened to me on ef02 it only worked when plugged in to a power source.
I'd suggest uninstalling that one and switching to Barnacle Tether. I recall the WiFi Tether app having technical issues that the dev couldn't get around.

This thread already started a million times and none of them fixed my problem.
So the thing is today my wifi got from blue to gray. Now none of the google services are working..only dolphin browser.
I tried to clear data from play services and google play.
I tried to connect to a different wifi. Same problem
I tried rebooting
I tried turning wifi on and off.
I rooted the device a week ago. Today I installed apex launcher, which I also removed but no help.
Stock rom, only rooted and unlocked.
What to do?
I don't want to factory restore.

Well, I don't play around with my N7 a lot, since the whole family uses it...my daughter would freak if Netflix wasn't working.....so I put something on it, and if its very stable....I leave it alone quite awhile.
So, I'm on XenonHD 4.2.2. Had zero issues with it. I personally don't use 4.3, cause flash is pretty much a mess, for me anyway....no matter what browser I use. So 4.3 is out for me.

Make sure the SSID you are trying to connect to is on 2.4ghz only. No 5ghz radio in the 2012 Nexus, and that can confuse school routers. Try a coffee shop with free WiFi.

Hi my Mobile Networks settings are mess. It only show me the (Data Roaming, Network Mode and System Select) the option for entering the Access Point is no longer there I just want to know if there is a way to fix it. Any Help...
No way to fix it, it's locked down via Sprint. Older firmware revisions didn't have it locked. Believe me, I'd love to change mine as well so I could use Hangouts or some other txt msg app and send picture messages on wifi.

I had the same problem and got the option back using "my apn switch" from Google Play Store.
