STUCK IN MAGDLR > volu hard key broken> PHONE is BRICKED me - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I was trying to flash to an energy NAND android ROM and follwing the instruction I got stuck when I had to navigate through MAGLDR and I realised than it was only possible with the volume hardware button which broke when I replaced the scree digitizer of my beloved HD2.
Now everytime I insert the battery the phone switch on automatically and goes to Magdlr the only option I can select is 1 WPH and that's it. It is pretty much bricked.
Any brilliant mind have an idea on this.
Would be much appreciated WM6.5 isnt the best OS but its better than a bricked phone!

Sorry mate no way if you are lucky pushing it with a pin behind the button might work

I want to install Android in this but have not read carefully (My big fault). After i install MAGLDR v1.11 and reboot i cant choose another option except the first one (Boot AD SD).
1. I want to install winmo again but cant take the phone comeback to bootloader (cant use the down volume).
2. I try to copy the android to microsd card but all the android in Android folder and that cant begin with booting.

Impossible to launch Bootloader from Android, so i've no idea how you could acess to boot loader, the only one solution is that DFT release the V1.2 with bootloader option!
you are screwed. how do your buttons not work. if they are broken because of a hardware problem then why not just go ahead and get another phone why put up with that hassle forever

Ps: Have the android rom boot with magldr yet?

I think I might have bricked my phone while installing WP7

Because of my stupidity, I followed this guide to install WP7 on my HD2 leo. I should have watched the video through before actually going through with it.
I really really appreciate any help from you guys because I'm lost right now.
THE PROBLEM:
As I was going through the installation process, the person instructing the video said something along the lines "this rom is not for the HD2 Leo" so I clicked cancel on the install and turned my phone off.
When I turn it back on, my phone doesn't boot to WinMo 6.5 but instead goes to the Magldr v1.12 and says
"Booting WPH
WPH LOAD
123456
GO GO GO!"
I took the battery out and turned it on, but I just keep going back to this screen.
Can I do anything to fix this.
Doesn't sound like you've bricked you're phone... the bootloader is trying to now boot wp7 from you're nand but you haven't installed it...
boot up you're phone and hold the power button, this stops it from trying to boot the default.... which is wp7 ATM.
Few options
1) reinstall window 6.5 from HTC website using specific for you're phone
2) boot up phone holding power button and select USB flasher and instal wp7
3) install android using the same method as no 2
Full instructions are available on the forum.
Also without trying to sound harsh it might be wise to do a bit of research regarding flashing a non-standard rom before you go ahead and do it.
Hope you get it fixed soon
Matt

Wow, Thank you so much Matt. I got WP7 on it with your help.
I didn't know holding the power button allowed me to go to USB-Flasher and thats what I needed.
No problem mate, hope you enjoy it

Need help after bad flash.

So basically i tried to flash android this was my first time doing any of this & it stuffed up badly now all my phone does is boot up into the white htc logo screen & won't get past there. It use to have 3 sets of numbers on the side but now it doesn't. I tried to go into the recovery boot loader screen. I use to be able to get into it but it never did any thing. I took it to a phone shop & they said i had water damage I never put the phone near water what so ever but they said it because my friend pressed the red button on the back which tells you have water damage. If anyone could help i would be so appreciative the phone i have now seems to be a pile of crap compared to the HTC!
Thanks in advance.

I dont know who told that bull**** but the red button on back is a reset switch, it has nothing to do with water damage.
To me it just sounds like you have task29 and not actually flashed magldr yet.
Hold down the volume down button while powering on phone, keep hold of volume down button until you boot into bootloader. Once in bootloader launch the HD2 Toolkit and flash magldr. Once you ahve installed magldr choose USB Flasher from magldr menu and then repartition using the toolkit.
Once you have partitioned to teh required size for you rom just flash teh zip file using CWM.
Since this is your first time flashing android on HD2 I would recomend looking at forum for a bit and reading guides because its obviosu you just jumped in and didnt read much.

[Q]

sorry for my poor english, i have a big prob im guesing!
I bought my HD2 in the age we all used stock WM6.5
After a while we succeed to boot SD Android
Then we even succed to Boot android from Nand.
I boot 1,5 year Android from nand perfectly. But since yesterday i got te follow problems.
I can't turn my phone on lockscreen (have to wait to autolock..) But i can awake my phone normally :S
I cant go in to Bootloader by pressing volume - + Pwr Button
Can't install a new rom cuz when i choose option 8. AD RECOVERY it hangs after "go go go"
And booting in normal androids it hangs for a really long time, takes about 30minutes to boot!
pls help me, im desprate! Tormorrow it's Q-day here, cant go witouth mobile one guys
-----UPDATE-----
WHEN I TRY TO GO TO LOCKSCREEN, I GET FOR CHOOSE SHUTDOWN FLIGHTMODE OR PROFILE..
And when i try to go in Bootloader it start Magldr..
So I was guessing. Is my powerbutton broke ? I mean when i push it ones, it seems it reacts like i hold it down. starting magldr and when i try lockscreen it goes to CHOOSE SHUTDOWN FLIGHTMODE OR PROFILE..
My digitizer is fixed a half year ago! I have some warranty but i don't know if HTC is happy with a Android flashed Phone. (When i sended back a half year i ago, i flashed it first back to WM6.5)
So is the hardware (digitzer broke) or software ? If its hardware, htc can fix it perhaps?
