Respect the Developers - XPERIA X8 General

Hey guys I've observed the DEV section recently. What I see is a lot of trolling, flamming, spamming and etc. That's out of my hands, 'cause if I try and tell them off, I would be contributing to the spam and trolling. Plus, stuff like that is usually between user and user. What REALLY pisses me off is that there are some users who actually have the balls to question and berate the DEVS themselves ! Imagine, these hardworking group of people, who have no obligation to us or duty to fulfill, are sacrificing their time, energy, money (electric bills don't pay themselves and PCs don't run on petrol ) and resources to develop something for us to use from day to day. May I remind you that it is all free ? But what faith awaits these people ? Money ? Fame (yeah, well maybe a little ) ? Keys to a Ferrari ? NO. They are rewarded with demands and insults from normal users who do nothing to help ! I'm not a moderator, so I can't step up and do anything to these ungrateful b*startds. Not only that. While the devs are hard at work developing a new ROM or MOD, they expect to open up their threads, hoping for some useful bug reports. But no. What they do see is a bunch of ETA's, complaints and repeated questions. All I CAN do is sit and advice and advice and advice...but what I see is trolls and such have gotten bolder. Even I've lost my patience with these people and nowadays I tell it as it is. I know mods can't be here 24/7, so of coarse stuff like this is bound to happen. Hey, even they have lives. There are users who actually care and try to advice these trolls, like lucastan96, deedii, colossus and wilbso. Unfortunately, their time, effort and kindness too, as their words are falling on deaf ears now. So what do you guys think ? I want to know if you guys have any advice to contribute or any suggestions to give...from what i see, if this nonsense continues, development in the X8 forums will slowly become extinct...
P.S. No flamming, trolling or disrespecting here either ! And if you're one of the trolls, please don't waste your time clarifying of defending yourselves...no one wants to hear it...

Well now! Nice words above, Rohin. I totally agree of what you are saying. Trolls, if you re-read all your posts carefully, those including stupid arguements and asking ETAs, you should realize you are scaring the developers away from our beloved forum. I am really very fed up with trolls here in the forum, except for one particular thread "Off Topic" thread created by moderator Zelendel. Guys, seriously, stop acting like kids begging people for some answers of something, especially in the dev forum. Or, you still want to say something that is TOO TOTALLY OFF TOPIC? The thread is there for you.
All I can say is you guys trolls just make me lost my appetite everyday.
Be wise, and rethink of the occasion when ICS was firstly ported to our phones by Troufiniou and other people. How is the thread being bombadded by those stupid trolls? (Just go see the thread, the one created by Rohin)
I dont mean to make the people here angry. All I want is to live in a peaceful and caring forum. So, guys, I had decided my birthday wish. I want all the trolls to take a vacation.

Whoa... didn't take long to reach "enlightenment", RohinZaraki...
Well, welcome to the Zoo - where everyone seems to think we owe them something or we're somehow obligated to do as they say.
You better get used to the fact that they will never learn, simply out of the fact that the average age around here in this section seems to range between "still liquid" up to 14-16.

maybe some people came here without reading the forum rules and just post what they want:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=849&a=81
if they read the forum rules and post within those rules it would be much better without flaming and spamming.

Well, at least themed ROMs are blocked now. Now you see there's less ROMs being released recently. Thanks go to Colossus for enforcing this great rule.

I do...but mods have the power to change things around here...all we can do is open up new threads after new threads trying to change people's mindsets...
Sent from my X8 using Tapatalk

Those are words of wisdom , I don't see why people just go flame or troll for no reason , they have too much time in their hands.

just stop responding to these people.....well your speech is quite effective......nowadays we should have a reserved post for THIS.

Ignoring is one thing...i mean, i could just ignore these retards and move on...but think of how the devs feel...thats what im poking at

B.Jay is right and so was JahlovePL-in miui by jahlove, his last comment,he specified that this community cannot respect others work....devs feel bad...yeah they do....we can do nothing about it....only some members keep this community alive.....just think of them as positive side..

This thread should be made a stcky...

Sticky or not, i know trolls wont take the time to read this abd even if they do, they'll just shrug it off...but it looks like the trolling and disrespecting has sloeed down these past few days

Agree, too. Some devs leaved xda because of the idiots how dont
respect their work (Not in this section but in other devices).
Maybe dev section should be shut down for normal users and a dicussion thread for every rom could be started? Just an idea..

Great thread. Haven't read much of those troll posts in dev section as I hang around in General and Q&A most of the time (don't know enough to be helpful to the devs). Hope the trolls read this and stop trolling. Maybe they'd realize what would happen without those devs. We owe those guys HUGE.

Urgent for ALL devs and everyone else!!

Greetings! Actually, im very angry and shouldnt be nice for an introduction, sorry devs this is focused more towards "Everyone else"! Here we go....
LISTEN UP EVERYONE RIGHT NOW!!!! I have been a long time fan and supporter of xda and the devlopers that make it what it is. One thing i have NOT been a fan of is the fact that XDA allows end users to post on the forums! A good alternative would simply to only allow a very basic bug report.
The same respect the site gives to us to simply post whatever we want has started to get taken advantage of and has been misused for TOO LONG!!
WE ARE LOSING OUR DEVELOPERS TO YOUR, YES YOUR, FLAMING OF OTHERS, POSTING ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS POSTING AND QUESTIONS!!
What does that mean for us? IT MEANS NO DEVLOPERS, NO CUSTOM ROMS OR APPS....NO XDA!!!! We will be limited to live on the carriers and manufacturers ROMs and timeline!!!!!
All devs, moderators and admins.....this message NEEDS to be heard by EVERYONE on EVERY device forum!! The people here who actually care about your work cant lose you guys!

are you drunk?
WTF? Really? Your idea to fix the issue to feel exists is to improperly post that which could easily be seen as inflammatory in what is supposed to be a development thread? I'm sure your post will meet with much positive response.
I second the question.. You drunk?
You gotta be high. That felt a while lot like when stoned hippies tell you the solutions to the world's problems.

First off, try posting in the correct forum. This is the Vibrant Development forum.
2nd, if people don't like it here they don't have to read or post here. It's that simple.
Have a nice day.
Moved to general as this does not pertain to development.
I recently wrote this article for the homepage on XDA: http://www.xda-developers.com/announcements/a-reminder-from-the-xda-moderator-team/
Recommending less Blow and more Ludes. Also, Stewing...your thread is spamish to begin with as the subject line gives no clue about the body, ehem, Complaint.
Misleading subject line but he does make a point though it may be exaggerated a bit. Unfortunately the problem is stupid doesn't know it's stupid.
Arent you like the rest? Making another useless thread in the wrong section in the first place. Also writing in caps doesnt make it more important, it makes you look that your craving for attention
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk
Don't all developers pretty much receive treatment like this? By that I mean in any market, not just cell phones.
There are always jackasses that complain about everything, and the people that love and appreciate all their hard work pretty much go unnoticed compared to the unhappy obnoxious ones.
Its a reflection of society in general where we tend to focus on the bad instead of the good. The people who appreciate and respect devs are out there, they just aren't as loud and annoying as everyone else who has a huge sense of entitlement and zero patience.
Trying to change their behavior seems pretty impossible short if banning them, which also seems improbable.

News about current circumstances

As some of you may have noticed a few threads have dissappeared in the DEV section
This is because of two reasons, the first being the Developer wanting to leave xda, the second being the sheer level of bad language to be found in them.
I also want to remind everyone that opening a topic to ask a developers to come back is not helpful or wanted, and they are currently being deleted. And those certain members who feel hat they have been wronged and start rom bashing. will be dealt with severely
Please Feel free to PM me or any other mod with a concern

no x10 section is under the enter forums rules, however if a person spams or trolls then they get seen to fast
In other words the rules you agreed to when you registered.
an idea, or suggestion, but...
i [read no one of importance] think this would be an opportune time to clean things up in the different forums, maybe enforce a general guideline for devs in thread naming and structure, maybe eliminate some of the stickies that are no longer needed [ie 2.1 after effects and 2.1 rom coming soon, petition for froyo, etc] so more important stickies don't get lost in sticky land [ie forum rules/guidelines].
i think with some structure and uniform, people wouldn't be so quick with the "create another thread about gingerbread coming" mentality.
just a suggestion and in no way telling anyone how to moderate their forum.
This dev who shall not be named has many people who adrore or hate him . The people who liked him are now taking everychance to criticize other devs

Free open source is being misused. These devs are contributing for free. Free source doesn't mean we can expect slavery or even cooperation.
What? Are you going to say that since a person isn't updating or contributing fast enough, or even having disagreements with others, that they don't deserve the opportunity to participate in an open and free forum?
Edit: Not to mention, that most of the people *****ing are senior members who contribute nothing more than assistance to noobs who break more xda rules than any developer, and the fact that Trip provides some of the best ROMs for the X10 should elevate him to untouchable status.
Anyone who talks **** about Trip better be a majorly contributing developer, otherwise just shut up.

I agree with you. They offer a ROM that is free for everyone to use. Where does it say that they are obliged to update it? Whether they do or don't is completely up to them. As for the flaming and taunting, I do not agree with that and everyone, whether its a dev, mod or member should exercise courtesy and respect towards others. It seems that this forum has turned into a soap opera lately which is really disappointing.

Just a small thinking.Well,I don't want to be banned
Just ignore me if this is offensive
You firstly mentioned that that dev doesn't have the intension to continue his work. But I am wondering if he had given such comments here on his/other posts.Would you mind to provide some evidence?I am pretty sure that you deleted the posts after you have read some of his comments.
For the sheer level of bad language,I always read post.
In a war, yes,it is no doubt that some devs here are/were arguing because someone want to protect his own work, personally I think it would be better to define the level of bad language.Calling people a copycat, saying someone is a glitch violate the rules?Language is not maths, meanings of word varies from person to person.
Also,it is understanding that someone speaks bit rudely when he is in anger.
Furthermore, what if that dev really can show some evidence that someone might forget to give him credit?
Thanks for reading
regards,
L
Really disappointed about what has happened here. I woke up to see the x10 forums in pieces.
I'm sure the aim of this forum is to forge cohesiveness between users who are willing to learn and share with developers who are willing to selflessly Take time out of their busy schedule to cook up roms for our users
I know that whatever I'm gonna say here ain't gonna change the mod ' s mind but I hope the mods can really come clean about what really happened here instead of using vague terms like "attitude problem" or "unwilling to work on updates" when he releases updates almost once a day. Just like a democratic government, and citizens of a democracy, transparency and accountability to the people should top priority

Sad to see him leave, only for the developments he provided to X10, the conflict wont be missed but what I seem to be missing is about 30 or 40 post to my post count. This has happened before to me when he closed/deleted a thread of his. It is not really important in the grand scheme of things but my posts were not offensive, mostly helpful and relevant questions to Trip or others. Is it fair that I (others also) loose or have a reduction to their post count throught the deletion of the thread? I dont post a lot so will take a little time to build it back up lol. Cheers

While it is nice to know that doixanh may be continuing developing GingerDX inside his Indonesian community I find it very discomforting that we now have to jump through an array of hoops to _maybe_ get an update for the ROM - thanks to unthankful, and highly disgusting, ill mannered kids who should actually be forbidden to run wild as they please on the Internet (and also thanks to moderators who fail their job to have a look at what's going on and enforcing rules at misbehaviour).
While I switched to the SGS Galaxy S2 as my main phone now I will actually keep the X8 because I had to buy the new phone with a brand new SIM therefore new phone number, so I would be interested in ROM updates if there will be any.

You have no idea how right you are, Asycid. You have my deep sincere sympathy - I actually feel highly ashamed about the display of epically ill mannered behaviour which took place - and I actually detest the people involved in the bust up for driving one of the best developers away from here.
But then, they got what they asked for. I understand doixanh's decision perfectly ... he simply doesn't need to put up with it as he simply didn't deserve being insulted by a bunch of np-brainers.
Anyway, I think it was all for the better. They wrecked the experience for their phones themselves - I just hope they lack the allowance to move on to other, better, devices so they can't continue their quest to wreck this place.
simple (for me)
RESPECT = just shut up and hit THANKS or DONATE for devs who make our device better

I'll leave this thread open untill i'll see some stupid flame wars, trolls or whatever. Then i'll close it.
Since X8 Forum is being trolled and spamed 24/7 i'll just wait patiently and wait until a dev get's really pissed off about this... Thare are more threads like this. Please just be quiet and have a merry little chrismas!

DONT step on the DEV´s FEET!!!

There is a couple of threads started by the main Devs, that have been closed lately.
All b´coz ignorant and stupid ppl keep asking the same quiestions over again.Since they are superiour at devoloping roms, but have a hard time getting same questions all the time shuffeld upon them, time over time, the treads gets closed all the time to us uber users sad disapointment. If i had the power i would shoot all the wrong posters in the head, but i dont have the the power to do that. This is not a democracy, soo think before u post any stupid question that might offend the allmighty devs,or the treads might get closed.Remember,You are in the hands of the Devs, they have ALL the might to shut u down,We are ALL in the hands of the allmighty DEVS.
So ask ur self, can u live without the roms, can your life continue with an originar rom from lets say Samsung?Or are u here bcoz of ur curiosity? Are u here bcoz of the fun of trying lotz of diffrent roms?OR as me,just to try out something else?
I for sure can live with out the roms that codeworkz and he´s friends develop.Would my life be porer with out their roms?Nah dont think so,if there only were TW roms i would still be fine, but the option to choose is always better.Do i feel the need to kiss some devs ass to get googles latest, with all the bugs and annoying faults?Sure not.Im 40 years old,ive learned to hold my breath, theres no greener grass on the other side.My phone will still function as intended even without major Devs roms.
So,do i dont appriciate the work they do for free?Hell yes i do!For free?Well, some of us guys do donate,so for free isnt true.
Do i think Devs should be treated like gods?Nope,i think they should live by the same rules as all of us do,threat others with respect.!

+1 really fund with development on xda, but when Devs get to much
bs or noobish questions on their thread they just close it, instead of warning the person(s)
that are cluthering their thread and just in case off repeating theme selves just expell them
from xda for a period or FOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! this is what happens on most forums so why not here.
Imho this is still a forum about open source so why should you be invited only to get a
membership should we all be mail aswell to join?
Maybe cleaning up some (less used) sticky threads and getting more info, about using Q&A and the use off searching threads before asking, to new users would be something to consider ( maybe this can be done by first 20 posts opening a warning screen, that pops up at your screen, when you whant to post something that has to be checked within a scrollable popup screen) yes i know this needs some work by the mods but then youre probally done with noob questions and bs.

No mate. Simple solution. Invite only to become a member. And as regarding the cm9 thread well the title said it all UNSTABLE not ready for daily use. What more than that do people need for a better explanation

You can tell people to hold their breath, cause you let one go, guess what......?
they will always tell you, you stink up the place
people are just to curious to be number 1 with their phone and firmware to read any warning what so ever about a rom thats still under heavy development
and not fully functional, we just like to wine about the problems that occur
so invite or not i think the problem stays the same
Please NO not another thread like this! Pointless...

You have a point. I mean we do not live in a perfect world after all. But my point is if xda was reverted to invite only and made the only way to be able to get the invite is by actually learning to contribute to the community then i think maybe that is the only way forward.

Calm down buddy no need to get yourself angry about this.
This is the second thread started by the same user in as many days expressing the same incoherent, poorly articulated babble.
Yesterday's rant about XDA being a dictatorship didn't last long before being locked and I can only hope that this worthless drivel is shut down every bit as quickly.
This outraged sense of entitlement crap is part of the problem and most certainly not the solution. It's not Devs that are making it hard work on XDA, it's people like you.
lol i opened a thread as well the other day.. makes that 3....but invite only would be good...
i admit i know only a little bit about Android and mobile phones, however as i work in a technical environment i understand the risks and what goes into developing.
again as i mentioned in my other thread.. XDA IS suffering as a result and it's name is being dragged through the mud across the net on other blogs and Developer forums. It's embarrassing and frankly I dont blame the Devs for leaving...
I feel like this is all targeted to CM9/ICS development, so let me answer this.
Hey people, calm down. We don't feel like gods at all, I can understand why you're mad, but hey, it's community's fault !
We spend hours and hours trying to bring AOSP experience to this device (and some others), and it's hard given the number of things Samsung doesn't do using Android standards. It's taking a lot of our free time, and gives us a lot of headaches.
That's one fact.
Now, you guys begged us to get an alpha, we gave it to you. What did we get in return ? The right to answers 1000000000 times the SAME questions. We made a Wiki, an FAQ, people STILL asks for dumb questions. They can't use google, they can't search a topic, they can't read, and they beg us to get an answer to their dumb questions. It's okay the first, second, third time... But when it's ALWAYS ALL TIME TIME the SAME, it gets boring, we get mad and arrogant, because we're doing all this stuff for YOU, and you can't even use the Thanks button properly. No, you come here and complain "Why **** doesn't work !!??", and you keep asking at EACH RELEASE if the SAME thing works or not, because you can't read the ChangeLog, or Google for specific terms that are inside it (like the Vendor libraries thing).
When you'll respect us, by doing a bit of work on your side, we'll get nicer. Codeworkx said it's your fault, and he's right.

Sick of several things on XDA

Well I know XDA its ment for developers.. And they are kind enough to share their hard work with us.. Bringing new life to our devices and more..
Developers always gets piss off about stupid question and or issues reports without providing a logcat... While I'm agree with this.. I'm not agree with XDA letting average noob post in development section.. Looking at the nature of the forum I can not believe there's isn't a way to block a person from posting in development if that person at least doesn't have (3 months and 350 post) in the forums... That's Imho a reasonable period of learning how to be helpful and provide useful information in development area...
I look at the case of Francisco Franco.. I really enjoy his works and support him a lot.. I had his kernels when I had a Gnex and that + cm9 was the best experience of Android for me.. Then I've sold the gnex and bought the note and one of the reasons I came without thinking was franco kernels does support note.. For my surprise he stopped supporting because of the ****ing trolls about a bluetooth issue in the kernel and so we all rest has to pay for it not haven updates anymore...
Recently he came back and one of the very first welcome post was a random noob asking for the bluetooth again. ... And Ffs I don't want to lose Francisco support again... And he was very clear about it..
I think XDA SHOULD block as I said earlier users with the double conditional of (3 month old account and 350 post) from writing on development.. They could read and download but not write..
Any user with those conditions not only be experienced enough to provide a logcat but will be scared of messing in development because he could get banned and lose his hard work in the account.....
That said I think there is no excuses to do so.. Look also to Entropy... I think the guy gotta buy a new keyboard every day raging at Noobs posting bs in cm9/10 developed threads..
XDA go ahead and take actions before we lose our developers

Wisdom strong in this post is. Franco is a really good developer and I'm sad he left Note. He used to develop for my old Huawei before he left for GNex and his kernel rocked.
But... One shouldn't take the regular forum trolls too seriously. Just leave them crying in their own **** and move own. There is also the report function here.
I agree with you though that there is way too much idiots in the development forums. Just look at the new JB PA 1.1 thread: couple of first pages just full of posts "how do I install this?" "does this brick my phone!?" etc. So annoying to find the actual bug reports or feedbacks through all the ****. This is because people are way too lazy to actually study anything these days. Everything has to brought to them ready and chewed.
Edit: and there is also this one hero that already bricked his note with JB PA because he didn't care to study stuff before flashing. :banghead:

Just report their posts. The mods are also sick of it and are handing out infractions, IIRC. I have yet to see a noob post again after reporting him, so it works very well.
It seems the original dev section doesn't have the 10 post requirement like the normal dev section. And most spam is from people with one or a few posts. It would definitely help to have that 10 post rule there.

Tbh there should be a read count for how many threads someone has read. That would just be a little hard to measure.

I certainly agree on you with this one. But like in every other forum and the whole internet, you can't really prevent noobs and trolls. Trolls gotta troll man. Kinda hard to filter them out as it will require the mods to check every single day on every single thread with thousands of post on it and obviously that will take full time. Most of us specially moderators do this for a hobby.
Let's just do our part to make the community a better place. That is reporting trolls. Like the other guy said on the 2nd post, let's just click on that little report button and the mods will take care of the rest or you can just ignore the regular forum troll and move on like most of us do. An old internet saying "Don't feed the trolls" ignore them and the average forum troll will just hunt for the next trollable thread and will eventually get tired, while the persistent ones, well let's just keep on clicking the report button and wait for the banhammer to land
The post requirement or the tenureship in the forum is a fantastic idea though. Maybe even the thanks meter/level, like you could post even if you're not 3 months old or don't have 350 posts but if you do have a certain thanks level/meter you could post and access the restricted area of the forums. No one would press the thanks button if you didn't post something useful right?

put categories as "devs" and restrict allowed posts to those people only. then cross referrence the thread to a discussion page for noobs and others to bash each other.
those who wish to post in the dev section should provide a fully working firmware for downloads and testing purposes for the ones designated as "testers" on xda.
i know its a lot of work, but its a solution if the admin will put the political will to it.

Although you have a point here i really don't like the idea. Ok we need to restrict the troll posts but..... once you were a noob too !!!! What we see now is that this site has grown to numbers never seen before. In the early days there were only a handfull users, a few devices and not much to do. Nowadays if you have a problem EVERYBODY refers to this forum from other places. So basicly we have a flood of new, unexperienced, people that just have one big problem: THEY DON'T READ!!!! I've been a member for a long time now, learned a lot just by reading and only post when i think it's usefull to the comunity. Even after all this time i still sometimes ask questions like a noob, should i be blocked???
There is one solution for this problem: NOT allowing to post untill they have at least read a few posts MARKED as an obligation. But i don't think it's possible.
What we see here is the growing of a forum with soo many devices and people, i think about a year or two this will stabelize :laugh::laugh:

Sometimes the trolls you are referring to are actually innocent noobs who are afraid of bricking their new Notes. They just want to double check some crucial things before attempting risky procedures.
Were we not all noobs at one point in our lives?
I know both trolls and noobs can be really frustrating but many of the members here can be quite impatient, responding rudely and degrading the once-friendly community.
I do agree with you though and I definitely think changes need to be made to ensure the development thread remains strictly development related. But I also think changes should be made to some members attitude too.

I abandoned a forum in my country due to "laws /rules" like that. Things were just getting out of proportion that it is impossible to help people there. Unfortunatly the mods over there think that they are god and if you make a reference about this forum or about rooting you will get banned !!!! I don't think that it's the future of this forum..
Restrict some topics to people that have more then xx months or xx posts will help. But i don't think it's possible to do. And what a bout people like me, i only read here, learn and do not post often. I don't have time to make a rom or custom firmware and come here for leasure ??? Am i elegible for seeing everything...... As you see it is very hard to make the choise about who can have full accesws and who doesn't.
becosemsaida
Write on development section thread should have some restriction.
And thank meter is one good criteria (just being member since long/posting just certain number of post dont make skilled)
if member have at least 10-20 thank meter he/she must have some skill and may not post noob Q.
There is always Q/A section is open for newbies.
this needs to be said.....
i have to call you out on this. The OP has been posting bizarre and rambling questions in DEV threads, getting all pissed off when ppl ask him not too, and has even admitted to not wanting to bother reading the thread because he is not that stupid.
It is people LIKE YOU that are bringing this place down.
If you cant be bothered searching or reading, you DO NOT BELONG on a development website. end of story.
If you want to make your phone look pretty to impress your mates, go some place else. XDA is all about the journey - the end result is not so important. its about trying things yourself and sharing knowledge. If you are just lucky enough, you might even be able to help someone out!
do not come here to whinge and flame others when you break the rules (do NOT post in a dev thread if it is not directly related to the development of that thread).
Also, you have to wonder how a user of 4 months has over 1000 posts, and some members have been here for years with only 500 posts.....

So? When I was uncertain about something I posted it in either the general or Q/A section. Why the hell should anyone be posting questions in the dev section?
And no, despite contrary belief, some people are newbies, some people are noobs. Not everyone used to be a noob. There is a massive void between the two. A newbie is one that is self-learning and is capable of exercising some semblance of common sense with regards to forum rules and forum etiquette when he joins a new forum.
So please, if you want to consider yourself a noob at one point, go right ahead. But do not make sweeping statements that everyone was a noob.

I think XDA should do nothing here.
There are no real reasons to rage at some users posts.
There's nothing SO bad about it.
You can always press 'report' button if some super-mega-trolls come to your thread (I haven't seen any yet)
As for me, XDA community is currently not so friendly as it should be.
Devs raging at most of the posts, advanced users trolling noobs...
That's really not so nice.
Blocking users with small post count or small thanks count, etc is unacceptable in my opinion. Really.
Maybe XDA is meant for developers, but developers can't exist without users they are developing for.
Here is Example, why we should need some control

This I agree, sometimes it's not that they're noob, it's that they're kiasu, as we Singaporeans call it. They spam devs with stupid questions, since it's free to ask anyway, and expect people to be free 24/7 to reply.
Also, many devs hate XDA. Because much dev work is not being appreciated here. In the Acer Iconia A500 section, both devs "Thor2002pro" and "dexter_nlb" have made amazing contributions to the community, but many *******s don't appreciate what they have done. They have left subsequently.
