[SGS+] Blue/Red stripes on screen? - Galaxy S I9000 General

Why do I have stripes on my screen, when there's anything red or blue on screen? I mean that every red or blue color have stripes. Brightness does not have an effect. I'll upload images if necessary

Try factory reset *2767*3855# ( it deletes all your data) if that doesn't work flash a stock rom and bring your phone in for repairs
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium

I tried factory reset from settings, is it the same thing? Anyway it didn't help. I barely rooted, so I probably won't do rom stuff. Should I return my phone?
Edit: I remembered that I updated from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5. Did you mean that?
Sent from my SGS+

Yes factory reset from settings is the same. Your post was ambiguous so i'll just say what you have to do. Flash a stock rom ie xxxkqB etc or if you are NOT rooted you can skip this step. Then bring your phone in for repairs.
I had a dead zone on my screen, but already rooted so my warrenty was void so I just flashed a stock rom and brought it in for repairs. They did not charge me and replaced my whole screen. Hope this helps.

Does unrooting get warranty back?
Sent from my awesome SGS+

Yes , but its safer to flash a stock rom. If you worried about your data just back it up with Titanium back up.
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium

Right now it isn't rooted and running running stock Touchwiz android 2.3.5. Did you mean that? I haven't changed anything rom stuff.
Sent from my awesome SGS+

Yes , your warrenty is not void so you can get it repaird.

You have to flash a original firmware and have the right CSC set on it.
You can flash normaly with odin.
regards
Thanks.
I know how to flash to original firmware but what is CSC and how to do it?
Thank you.

Just flash the original firmware for your country/region, it already contains the right csc file. After reboot dial in phonepad *2767*3855# for a factory reset and you`re done (backup your important files to the computer !)

Is gone after the Odin flash
You're all right, but keep in mind that the flash counter might be set, so you have to reset the counter.
Just check it in the download mode.
Well, wasn't the "unroot" tool doing the same thing?

Factory reset does not remove CWM. You need to re-flash the stock ROM (System, Modem, Kernel and etc).
i cant find the stock rom for my country - PHILIPPINES
Thanks to all for helping me on this.
My phone become 'virgin' and save to sent to samsung for warranty claim.
Original firmware [check]
Flash counter [check]
CWM [check]
If im missed something please let me know.
Thanks again.

Orange ICS is launched

Just installed orange update and all is looking good so far
You willing to try some factory resets, like 10 or so if you're under warranty?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I would NOT do a factory reset/wipe. Can you truly risk bricking your phone? Wait until a developer can dig into this ROM and kernel and take a look at MMC cap erase.

well, My device was bricked

My device won't boot up power or wont go to recovery mode. powering on has no vibrate feel and it stays black. I used liquid smooth.
Where did you get the liquid smooth rom?

What steps did you take when flashing
Have you tried download mode?

I downloaded a 2.9 rom for att only
1. I wipe factory reset coming from different rom
2. I install liquid smooth
3. I install loki
4. hit reboot
5. it ask for fix for root, i slide it to fix.
6. bam! screen went black!
If all of this cant be fixed, I have to take it back to att for replacement and act dumb. I have last day to return today. 14 policy is about to expire 11:59. I had it since July 15.
If you can't even get any power and can't get into down load mode then you probably are not going to get it fixed. Have you tried odin and seen if it will recognize the device?

Odin do not detect my phone. It SOL! I went to att today. They told me it was SOL too because this device won't boot into recovery or download. Nothing was turning on. So it was replaced by warranty. I told them I rooted it (not playing dumb here at this time) and they replaced it.
Does rooting void warranty right? I don't get it? But I remember on another forums said rooting does not void warranty? Unless they see custom device and unlocked boot loader void warranty?
Can someone explain clearly?

In almost any situation, operating a device in a way other than the manufacturer intended will void the warranty. In the case of AT&T's warranty, they may have explicit clauses against jailbreaking, rooting, and firmware modification in general. In the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, they might even allow for root, but I'm not sure on this. I once saw someone (reputable dev) post that rooting by itself is not an automatic void. They have to prove that what you did broke your device (which it sounds like what you did probably borked it).
If someone has a rooted device, and suddenly the battery explodes or the LED light stops working (on an otherwise stock rom), then it's kinda hard for them to point at "you rooted it" as being the problem.
But yeah, best to look up the verbage in the warranty, to be sure.
What ROM was on there before you flashed liquid?
And what recovery?
I ask because when flashing AT&T liquid on TWRP at least, you don't flash loki and you also don't get prompted to install root. Not even after a full wipe of EVERYTHING.

Google edition 4.3. Is this more likely caused by it? I wiped factory reset before flashing.

Im sorry if I missed your answer to this i didnt see it. Can you put the phone into download mode or not. Holding power and audio up?
I'm not a master at this, but wouldn't a JIG put the phone automatically into download mode, if its not bricked that bad?

[Q] Root/flash counter?

Hi. Does our device have a flash counter like the Samsung phones?
Once I rooted or flashed is there a way to return back to fully original Rom with no traceback??
Device D802 EUR (Nordic Rom 10a)
Edit. Have any body noticed that the autobrightness is complete retard?
Example. I use 20% auto. At normal light with no movement it goes
lowest 16%
highest 40%
It just moves between this value. More noticeable in games. Just randomly increase and decreases.
My hands are not covering the sensor also

Cmon lads. The first question ain't so hard to answer well?
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It's a flag not a counter.
Fashing non stock ROM sets the flag to ROOTED.
Flashing stock ROM (kdz) sets the flag to UNROOTED. It seems that also a full reset after flashing is indicated.
Cheers!

You have 2 choices:
1. Turn on the phone and use the reset option in settings.
or
2. Press VolDown and Power until LG logo appears, realease VolDown and press it again one time and release both keys. After that a message will appear (black text on white screen) and you must confirm the reset pressing 3 times the poser button. This is the procedure as far as I recall. I advise you to verify this on internet.
I hope this will help.

Ah. You suggest this method after returning to stock rom (kdz) right?
Becausr that method only works on stock recovery as I understood.

Restored stock yesterday, suddenly speaker not working.

Earphones work fine, but nothing will make a sound when there are no earphones plugged in. Not even vibrations (apart from the USB connect/disconnect ones). Calling, video's, music, YouTube, nothing.
I have a D802 which is now just stock I guess, I screwed up something and had to play around in the Download Mode to get back to stock losing Root and such.
Anyone have any idea? I have no problem flashing another ROM but if that doesn't fix the problem I'd rather not waste time and risk what happened yesterday again :/.
Really appreciate any help or advice you guys are capable of giving, I'm just worried that it's related to the stock firmware I restored to last night, could that be possible?

I will, I'm planning on flashing CloudyFlex in a few minutes, you mean the wipe in recovery, right?
Nope, settings>general >backup and reset >factory reset. This will wipe everything from the phone, so make necessary backups

I did exactly what you said and got no results.
I then went into recovery, wiped, installed a custom ROM, still the same.. no sound.
What do I do :S
