What's funny is, it let me upload a file the first day, but I couldn't access it until today.

And knowing Google, it will increase as time goes by. I remember when Gmail only had 1Gb of storage. Luckily I got in on Box's 25Gb free promotion so I won't be needing cloud storage for a while...although, more never hurts.
[Edit:] It was 50Gb not 25

I got Box's 50 gigs but I don't like not having a desktop client without paying. I got in on skydrive's 25 gigs. I like skydrive but no real android app kind of sucks.

I wish it would let me designate a folder on y SD card, or save to SD card like like drop box does. I've been using dropbox to transfer files and .zips since I lost my data cable.

Since my Fire is not rooted, I installed the Drive app on my Droid-X phone and then created an apk file and transferred it to my Fire using Dropbox.
The Drive app installed ok on the Fire but when I try to run it, it says "Cannot find any Google accounts, exiting application" and then it quits. No way to get into the settings for the app.
I'm not sure how to get around this. I have my Gmail setup on the Fire. What other Google account would it be looking for?

Every time I try this I receive the error message "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care."
using this on pc for a long time very good and helpful
when u want to backup ur apps pics or videos google drive is the best option with better privacy
Tried something different... I installed the framework, and then rebooted the fire. Then I installed the drive and it worked.
The easiest way to fix this problem would be to root

So much easier just to get sideload wondermachine and sideload amazon app store and when you download the program, you will get the security error.
Then plug up your atrix to your PC, grab the file and transfer it to your PC. Then run sideload wonder and it will put it on your atrix.
Been doing this daily and takes about 30 seconds to complete the whole process...

Hey guys, I recently just decided to join the Dropbox/ Cloud storage initiative. I found the best possible Cloud storage service called SugarSync.
The best thing about it, is that unlike Dropbox, You can sync any folder on your pc, as well as having a Universal folder that syncs with every device like Dropbox.
The second best thing is that you get 5GB of storage instead of 2GB, and upto 32GB through referrals, unlike 16GB in Dropbox.
The last thing I love is that with SugarSync you can Sync entire folders with your phone unlike Dropbox, where you can only sync a file at a time.
Anyway instead of me talking about it have a try for yourself. Just click on this link SugarSync, to get 5.5GB storage instead of the 5GB that comes with it, or click the link in my Signature.
Hope you like it as much as I do.
I still prefer box. It gives you 50 gb of storage if u use lg phones

Problem with box.net is that it has no PC sync, some people like me really can't live without that... having the same music on a laptop, a PC and my phone, with no effort
Also my C++ projects are on it, so I can.work on them anytime, without a usb stick, and then download in class
So I use dropbox

Yea, also dropbox linux version is actually a lot worse than using it on wine, it installs 3 different things to make it work with gnome or whatever, but normal wine version just works, although the icon in status bar up look lot worse

Hello, I just flashed my new Nook touch last night. Everything went well. Except for one thing. Whilst I am waiting on the Play Store to decide it will work I would like to use the Amazon app store to download some apps. When I click get app I receive the following error. As you can see I have no idea what it's trying to tell me. The text in the error box must be white or something. I have the box checked for allowed from 3rd party. I guess I could just wait a while longer until the Play Store decides to work.... Any thoughts?

Did you un-check and re-check the install non-market apps check box? This seems to be necessary for some reason. I believe it is checked by default but in order to work, you need to un-check and then re-check it.
Yes I did. Thanks for the thoughts though. I wish I knew what the error message was. I can't read it. Drives me crazy. Lol.

I know people are always looking for apk files to sideload on their KF specially Google apps. I've started a page where I have posted those common files. I'm also willing to add more upon request. Just leave a comment on the blog post page. This is for free apps only and is not meant to get around paid apps in anyway. http://androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/
This is awesome!

I've downloaded and installed the Play store. When I open it, it gives me a popup informing me an account needs to be connected in order to use it. I click yes to set up my account, and the app shuts down. Any ideas?

You probably don't have Google framework installed. Use KFU (Kindle fire utility) to do that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889 Questions welcome.
Thanks Cowboy - useful stuff
I use Android Drawer since it has mostly All Free Apps, that are essential for Android Users. Its got over 50,000+ apps, only free though, no warez. I use it all the time for sideloading when I am at Stock, and most are update as soon as updates roll up.

I think you'll need Google Play Services, and Google Play Framework if you're aren't rooting. Also, I am not sure but I think All Access is for Android 4.0+, but I am not sure though.
