Go here, install the apk?

you won't be able to get any of the amazon services unless you heavily modify a lot of things.

You mean the kindle fire stuff?

I was able to install it via the email they send. works fine for me.

What I want is the Prime Video to work from within the App.

Thanks shchenok, I went to the amazon site and got the error that the app store wasn't compatible. Installed the app and it worked fine so confused on why it wouldn't work from the source.

Amazon Appstore and Android/Google Market

Does anyone know if it's possible to link the android/google market with the Amazon appstore or visa versa.

You want to sink it? Hmm. Try an iceberg! It worked for the Titanic!

Nope, they're completely separate entities.

I know that, but when I go to update my application is there no way of the android market knowing that I've downloaded application from another source. They both basically have the same applications
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Why would one update an app bought from the other? If you are buying from both you must have both market apps on your device, right? So together all your apps are being updated.
Don't really see the issue here.

Try to install the app from Amazon and then use Titanium Backup's "Market Doctor", it might work
Nah that won't work for paid apps. It'll show as installed in the Market, but if you try and update via the Market you'll be prompted to pay.

Exactly. I tried this with setcpu apk installed. But was prompted to pay before I could get the update.

did you then have a problem whereby market was always prompting for an update for an app you had bought via amazon? if so, how do you stop market banging on about an app you cant update?
Use Titanium Backup to break the market link.

whats the app to remove market restrictions? I'm in Aus and can't find the amazon app store
I believe at the moment you need sideloading, which I got by rooting with GingerBlur and then GreyBlur.

Thanks for the info... Is this better than beautiful widgets in your opinion?
I haven't tried BW. I posted this because I know a lot of people like FW, and FW Pro being free today is nice. You've got nothing to lose by trying it..............it's free!

I don't think there is one. I saw this thread awhile back, but not sure if it works or not.

Run superoneclick enable market apps. Or do it manually using root explorer

So much easier just to get sideload wondermachine and sideload amazon app store and when you download the program, you will get the security error.
Then plug up your atrix to your PC, grab the file and transfer it to your PC. Then run sideload wonder and it will put it on your atrix.
Been doing this daily and takes about 30 seconds to complete the whole process...

Much easier to just install right from the Amazon app itself. Don't need a PC.

not talking about the amazon app...but when youdownload from the amazon market, it wont install...thus the sideloadwonder machine makes that part easy.

The app isn't working for me. What am I doing wrong?

You can sideload without rooting also...as I stated above.

[Q] I still haven't received the Google Play Store update v. 4.1.10

Let say I want to side load the latest version of Google Play Store on my Nexus 7. Can the app be updated automatically after being side loaded?
The new play store sucks anyways.

Yes, it can be, so long as you're sideloading an appropriately signed APK (I'd suggest Android Police; they have a running list of them).

I hate to say this, but what exactly was the point of either of these posts? Neither answered the question (which takes about two seconds), and "sucks" is a huge matter of personal preference. Maybe OP happens to really like the new variants; either way, if Op wants to upgrade, that's their call.

Nothing in your post says what rom you use, let alone how you installed google apps. So it really depends. For example if you installed Slimbean + SlimGapps for example, your play store among other apps from that package will not update because they are modified from the official source, so there is that factor to consider.

Google voice apk

Could someone please upload a nexus 7 Google voice apk, trying to get one to work with my device but keep getting FC
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire2 using XDA Premium HD app
Why not just install it from the play store?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I am a kindle fire 2 user and the one in the play store force closes right away. I've had luck in similar situations using nexus 7 app.
But the nexus 7 doesn't ship with voice installed. Getting the apk from it wouldn't be any different than an apk from any other device that downloaded it from the play store.

yeah you're right, I looked it up, the apk is universal. Some apps vary by device though.

I don't need it anymore, the APK is universal for google voice. But some are not. For example the directv app I downloaded from the play store on my kindle wouldn't work but the one I got from a nexus 7 user did.

Now, I put my app in Google play store.
