+1. I personally am grateful the devs have taken time out of their lives to develop tools for a soon to be out of date OS. If I had more time I'd help develop but I worked 67 hours last week for example

I got this phone by "mistake". Went to the verizon store for a droid x. They were out so I got the fascinate which they had just got in that day to have something to play with until the x was restocked. Got it home and saw all the verizon bloatware and touchwiz and bing and said this phone sucks! Thanks to the Devs my phone is now friggin awesome. Sooo happy they were out of the droid x that day. What the Devs have done up till now is mind blowing. So thanks JT, Birdman, Deodexed, Supercurio (for Voodoo), Adrynalyne (for Voodoo uninstaller), AgentHeX, wickedbeav, fallingup, and anyone I forgot or don't know about.

Other then bing and a few bugs this phone is just awesome!! My droid had bugs that were ironed out after a few system updates so im not freaking out about the long gps lock or backlight buttons

Glad these kind of people are a rare species, I wouldn't live in a world where everyone start complaining out of the blue, I sadly have to conclude these human beings are very lonely.
What on earth is going on with someone to post useless messages like these. We are living in a free world so everyone of us may choose the phone, tv, car or religion he wants.
Fortunately this kind of extremists are on forums nowadays, in the past they start getting flying lessons ending up crashing into the SE head quarters...

Actually, I made the image. I hardly can be accused of being jealous of XPlay owners, but I feel that the phone has been brutally abandoned. I guess my sentiment isn't shared among the userbase...

With Gingerbread as standard on the phone I'd say SEMC is good for a while, the majority of other phones that are out now, including some just hitting the market don't even have that.
We're still waiting for Sony to come through with Playstation Suite, I'm guessing that will be a vital part of the appeal to Playstation Certified devices. In the meantime, it's a prime opportunity for developers of Android games to step up with the new coined "Xperia Play Optimized" label.
I'm not sure what more you want SEMC to do?

its all dual core this dual core that
but at the moment dualcore is only good for one thing benchmarks!
there hasnt been a game that is designed only for a dualcore phone that
are phones cant play aswell
and lets be honest that why we all got a play, to play games
so who really cares if there apps fire up hundreds of a sec faster than ours
or when u browse the homes screens etc, theres is abit smoother?
we got our phones to play games and play them comfortably
and our phones do that better than theres.

I agree with the Playstation Suite stance. They mention it every now and then but in no detail whatsoever.
But again, that's not SEMC, that's being developed by Sony (SCE). Different people.

Couldn't agree more the support and back up from dev's and most of the guys is second to none, your much quicker getting stuff resolved on here than phoning your service providers helpline...
I've thanked as many as i can with a Donation too when i've been able to afford it...

This is another much better concept idea which I found on the web the only problem was that they said it would have the aspect ratio changed but it was said to feature a tegra 3 as well as mini analogs like the vita

Remember that this is a fan concept art, it's not an official work or design from Sony.

I couldn`t imagine this ever becoming a reality, the simple issue of how the phone would slide up and down with those analogue sticks sticking out is enough of a problem.

That is so not even close to what reality would be, if an Xperia Play 2 even ever happens.

I don't know why people keep insisting on posting these xperia play 2 forms on here. Every time ones posted it receives nothing but the same replies as the other xperia play 2 forms. STOP POSTING THESE!!!!! We know the rumors, were all big fans of Sony's gaming products! Unless some news pops up with ACTUAL photos of a prereleased model we don't care. I thought you guys would of learned from the release of this phone, I know I did. The rumors for this phone started about 2 years before the release. So by my count you still have a year and a half till this phone comes out and that's if it actually does. So for the sake of the form and to save your a#$ from being chewed out don't post unless its GOOD NEWS!

If I recall properly, while the device sales weren't tremendous, this device managed to bring out a niche of gamers who actually buy games. It would make sense for them to hold off the release until they can't milk the Xperia Play's gaming side any longer, particularly if they're making money with Xperia Play Optimized licensed games as I suppose they are.

They sold a total of less than 1000 games the psx ones and the optimised did much better but still not great they need better and more games and pssuite as promised what we all want is console quality games on our plays like gta 3 they should really port the successful ps 1 and 2 games like god of war prince of persia silent hill etc they would make MUCH better sales and everyone would be happy
