Bye bye X10, hello DHD

So I've sold my X10 for £177 and have ordered the Desire HD.
Don't think ill be missing the X10. Even with the update its still only got a 65k colour screen, no flash, no multitouch and other things.
Wont be buying Sony again.

What use is that with out a Stargate!

I think ppl are moving to another phone too quick, eventually i personally beleive that the x10 would be a great phone if the update to 2.1 is released.
and if the bootloader is cracked, then the party will really start
i do not mind 65k colors
i do not mind no mt
i do not mind no flash
i do not mind the low volume (although in crowded area's you can barely hear the other side speaking)

We all know Desire HD is better than X10. They have been released in a ... six months time range?

The only reason I'm still holding on to this phone is because I have optimism that maybe we'll get custom roms soon...otherwise, I'm dying to get something else just for flash support!

same here xD not a rich guy.

i have x10 mini before, the screen was too small hard to read website, but after buying this phone, with the same OS(2.1) i felt boring a while, until i flash suitable rom, this phone rocks!!

This phone cant do anything.., make me bored., not had flash,not had multitouch,not had wifi shared, and the suck its nobody dev in this forum can make its work

i am not bored, but my old symbian was better for games....obviusly that maybe change if we get multitouch...
this phone its real good for navigation and for playing simple games, I like it

I was never bored with this pone. The fact that devs contribute to this scene making things happend (multitouch, overclock, etc) make this phone worth the while. I would be mindblowing bored if i only had the stock firmware, and the stock apps... Not really, they are also useful, but come on, devs are really wonderful. If u're bored... then donate to them so they can make u an entertained guy .

Sale your phone and get high end mobile phone.. Because, we're here in this thread to make our low end X8 better. Thanks to all our beloved DEV's!!

i dont really get people that want their android phone to look like iphone. Apart from in my personal opinion android looks better the obvious answer is if you want to look like iphone buy a damn iphone.
(same thing with people whinging they want the GS2 to look like HTC sense but thats another can of worms)

i had an iphone before my samsung galaxy s2 !
but i have to say, that iphone is boring now, because the style is always the same ! this was the reason why i bought the samsung galaxy! When you look at the new Iphone 4s you'll see no new style, only the inside life is new, but design is an important point for me !

I'm back to 4S and happy.
Tired of cheapness of os and non-stop glitches and bugs.

well, i've read a couple of "discussions" like this with sony and...don't know...the answers sony customer support give...sound like pre-recorded sh!t. Like talking to a bot. Has any1 ever had a bot in his y! list? that scans what you wrote and, when finding pre-defined text like "root" or "update" or "rom" it just gives the answers it was programmed to...
I mean...that's not a human responding there...the answers are way to...standard...and if you do some search you'll see that some answers there are actually identical with what others got asking similar questions...
anywayz..that's just my opinion...

Well, HTC nor Samsung outrightly discourage it. You see, I believe our forums provide a wealth of info (alpha-testing, beta-testing, bug-tracking, unheard of fixes, never-before-seen MODs, etc). You know, if I were a manufacturer, I'd actually finance forums like this!

HTC or SAMSUNG just says that it's dangerous rooting their phones (and it really can be, if you don't know what are you doing). But SONY don't even talk about the subject.

This isn't all that funny. SE realised they did horribly on their first wave of phones, so they just gave up on them, and released a much better second generation (the 2011 Xperia line).
Those screenshots just make me feel bad for the person who had to put up with that. :/ No manufacturer would actively encourage rooting/Custom ROM installations - if they did, and people bricked their devices, they'd start blaming SE and then where would they be?
Just be thankful that the dev community for the X8 is so wonderful.

Ok guys, so ive been getting a lot of request to update Xplod rom for the 4G, i know i said i was working on an update a few months back and i was and got one but i had some personal issues popup all at once so i had to stop for a bit. So here is what i plan on doing.
Releasing a new rom with the Xpria Style, Look & feel.
New Base,
New mods
And very fast and stable, working MMS, 4g, ect...
So what do you guys think so far? I want input and feed back on this, if enough of you want this to happen, then i will make it come true starting this weekend. No beta, I'm going right to stable.
