Thank You. - Fascinate General

This is not a development thread persay, but is addressed to all the devs and modders out there.
We appreciate the work you do, very much! Despite whiners dwelling on how much the phone or software sucks, you folks are making the phone do what we want, how we want.
I tip my hat to you folks, be it themers, devs, or modders.
Great work!

Completely agree

I second this. Thank you very much for all the hard work.

Thank you!

+1. I personally am grateful the devs have taken time out of their lives to develop tools for a soon to be out of date OS. If I had more time I'd help develop but I worked 67 hours last week for example

Okay okay +1 thanks guys

I agree. I also now want to go buy a Snapple product.
Feel goods and warm fuzzies are great. Also try to donate a little here and there to the folks who take the time to code the things you find useful or enjoy on your device.

agreed. u guys are da best!

seriously! you guys ARE android

I got this phone by "mistake". Went to the verizon store for a droid x. They were out so I got the fascinate which they had just got in that day to have something to play with until the x was restocked. Got it home and saw all the verizon bloatware and touchwiz and bing and said this phone sucks! Thanks to the Devs my phone is now friggin awesome. Sooo happy they were out of the droid x that day. What the Devs have done up till now is mind blowing. So thanks JT, Birdman, Deodexed, Supercurio (for Voodoo), Adrynalyne (for Voodoo uninstaller), AgentHeX, wickedbeav, fallingup, and anyone I forgot or don't know about.

many thanks from Georgia

Don't know where we would be without all of your hard working developers out there.
Thank you good sirs, thank you.

Yea this phone is excellent with the all the things the devs has done Thank you. No rush from me to get a kernel, Froyo or anything idc really take your time and THANK YOU.

Other then bing and a few bugs this phone is just awesome!! My droid had bugs that were ironed out after a few system updates so im not freaking out about the long gps lock or backlight buttons

ehmm i dunno what bugs are u talking about but my phone is working excelent, i am using DJ_Steve 1.7.
if you think that custom roms are buggy just dont use them, instead of complaing you should help fixing those errors or at least try to reproduce the bugs so someone can fix them or donate bounty.
useless critics demoralises people, honeycomb on the streak even alpha or beta is a mayor leap for us.

+1 Totally agree . Theres too many 'I want/You Must' threads/posts instead of doing some light reading.
if Steve can manage to get Honeycomb on the streak, well surely that would be something to celebrate, instead of whining.
If you have a problem, ask in the relevant thread, state what the problem is, how it happened, what you've done to try to fix it. Dont just say ' its ****, it doesnt work'.

Man...so stoked for honeycomb on my streak! Can't wait Steve! Will definitely be buying you multiple beers when you get this bad boy working!

A toast to toastcfh

I wanted to take a moment to make a toast to toastcfh. toastcfh is often more of a behind-the-scenes guy, and he seems to prefer it that way. Unfortunately that means he often doesn't get much recognition in this community. Most of us probably don't realize just how much he does for our EVOs and without him, our EVOs wouldn't be nearly as good as they are.
Most early EVO users were able to achieve full root and NAND unlock thanks to toastcfh, even if you didn't know you were using toastcfh's methods. Almost all of the 1, 2, or 3 step processes that we used (e.g. one click root methods) included automated versions of toastcfh's part 2 and let's not forget part 1.
toastcfh is also responsible for most of the kernel work that we see for the EVO. Many Sense users are familiar with netarchy-toastmod. The "toastmod" part is due to our one and only toastcfh.
Anyone running CyanogenMod is using a kernel that toastcfh is largely responsible for maintaining. toastcfh is also responsible for the most of the kernel work that has allowed WiMAX and he laid the groundwork for hardware accelerated HDMI development to take place in CM. No matter which kernel you're using in CM7, you're using some of toastcfh's work.
toastcfh has also been at least partly responsible for the recent rooting and NAND unlocking that's been taking place for the EVO's little brother, the HTC EVO Shift.
In addition to all of this development work that toastcfh does, he also finds time to be moderator of our EVO forums here on XDA (a thankless job to be sure). I'm sure that there are at least a hundred other things that toastcfh has done for us that I'm not aware of. If you know of something that I've missed or toastcfh has helped you out personally, please share your experience.
So please, take a moment with me to raise a glass and post your thanks to our humble toastcfh! If you feel so inclined, please consider a small donation. He'll never ask you for one.
THANK YOU TOASTCFH!!!
i <3 toast
thanks so much for everything!!
quite possibly the most giving and underappreciated dev i've ever worked with.

This is spot on. He's one of the most dedicated developers I've seen. All the while balancing work and a family. Definitely doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Much respect for you toast, for all the things you did for xda.
toastcfh released the godmode kernel for the HTC EVO, weeks before the HTC EVO was released to the public for sale.
his kernel was the first open source code version which worked on the EVO and was even released before HTC released their official kernel source code!
many custom kernels for the EVO are based of off toastcfh's source code. he has since moved to mainly github releases and is the main kernel maintainer for the cm7 evo kernel. in addition to all his many other endeavours.
he does great work. very reliable and of high quality. it is the only code i trust to put on my phone as he has always been completely open and helpful.
thank you toast. my htc evo experience wouldn't have been as great without you.
Most people who see this thread have or are using all of the above. Donating now! Thanks Toast!
Yeah toastcfh!

Great Post.
I'll definitely give Toast a huge thanks for the work he does! He is a behind the scenes type of guy so he'll prolly blush at this thread =p

Apparently I missed something?
I can gather what it was about. If I'm correct in my assumptions then I would like to thank everyone for standing up.
People can ***** all they want. I love this phone. Really love acs and the cm7 guys and we have the puzzle piece on our bumper and attend the local support group (two nephews). This community seems plagued with a lot of nonsense but its still filled with good people too.
Thank u, to the devs(even impaler! Haha), the followers and flashers (keep yer clothes on maniacs)

that is all
