[Q] Private number - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hello everyone.
It may a stupid question but here it goes.
I installed today the lastest Miui Elite ICS for my X5 but my number keeps appearing as a private number when I contact other people and I can't find the place to change it. Does anybody know where it is.

Phone - settings - gsm call settings - additional settings.
For some reason they moved call settings to phone.apk in ics.

Cant change Caller ID display setting :( helpppp

Hey guys, dont know why but when i go to Settings/Phone/Services/Caller ID/Get Settings, its on NO ONE, but yet people still see my number, when i try to change to Contacts Only, and than OK, when i come back to the screen its back on NO ONE, but yet again still phone number comes up. I need to disable this ASAP! i cant have people seeing my number for work purposes becuase i call alot of clients and dont want my number exposed like that
bumpppp ????
I don know about your country's telco. But then as for my country, Call ID display is dependent on the subscriber services. We will have to subscribe to Caller ID no display in order not to show our mobile no to the receiving party.
So to me the caller ID in the settings does not applicable to me.
well im on Tmobile in USA, and i was always able to switch it, but i dont know what i did or installed, but its not working anymore
I thought this was an operator setting?

[Q] No function to hide caller id ponctually ? (app to hide number except contact)

Hello,
I was on windows mobile, and I used a basic function which can hide my callerID to all numbers out of my contact list, very usefull to show me to all my contacts and not my customers.
I searched on the phone such an option but nothing, so I don't worry I go to the Market thinking a very simple function must exist there, but nothing...
I open my computer search about it and see a message that someone try this but can't find function in the SDK for the caller ID ?
Is there a way to do it (even if i have to do the app but I don't want to lose many hours to understand android coding if it's simply impossible !)
Thanks a lot if you have an idea on the question.
Hi!
On gsm networks you can add #31# at the beginning of the phone number to hide caller ID. In US use *67 (untested).

I`m looking for the same thing. One simple application that can hide my ID by pressing one button.
I`ve looked everywhere.Googled, searched Market and nothing. All apps are for US users. Prefix #31# or 141 doesnt work in UK. At least in O2 UK. Dont know about others.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE anyone who know anything about Android apps to make something that might help. I`m tired of going to settings and hiding my ID everytime i want to speak with my customers
I am using cm7 and in the call settings there is a setting for caller id. You can have it be private public or network determined.
I do agree that it would be a great app to have your id hidden to people outside of your address book. I think it would have to be an alternative dialer though
From something awesome

Couple of questions/issues

My brother in law is having all kinds of issues with his intercept. Here are the 2 most annoying for him and I don't have an answer but I am hoping somebody else does. The froyo 2.2 brought bluetooth voice dialing to android. It works fine on my evo but he cannot get it to work on the intercept. Does anybody else have this working? I read on another forum that you need to go to the settings and go down to search options and enable it there. There is no google search in his settings. Also there is no option for speed dial. Any help there?
One last thing. After the froyo update did anybody else lose the ability to link contacts with facebook? Before the update you had to create a contact on the phone and then you could link that with your gmail contact and the facebook contact. Now there is no option to create one on the phone.

I am not sure about most of your concerns, but I can perhaps recommend something for your speed dialing issue.
In the Android Market, there is an app called Speed Dial Old School by Maplekey Company. It will allow you to set up Speed Dialing your way, setting number choices from 2-99 and by dialing the select number, it will automatically dial that contact.

Dialer issue

Today I got a call but the title of the call was: "currently only supporting US numbers"
What is this? It was a number in my home country but I'd rather have the dialer not show me this title.
I'm on c-rom and I think it's Google dialer
Help would be appreciated
Found it, it were the people lookup settings

[Q] SMS / Text Issues

Hello All,
Need Some Help. I am using Verizon Galaxy S5 in India. I am on Global Mode with Data Enabled. I am able to use Internet / Calls and everything else. The issue that I have is that I am not able to send out text messages / SMS messages. I tried through Hangouts and Samsung Messaging as well, but none works. I am able to receive messages but not send. The only way it works is that if put in the phone number directly without the country code.
For eg:,
If I want to send a text to 9800000001 then I can send only if I put in the number manually in the text message send menu. If I have that number stored in my phonebook with the country code +919800000001 then it is not sent. I cant update my entire phonebook to remove the country code from the numbers. So basically I cannot reply back to text messages received too as they come with the country code.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 - NHA Build - Rooted - Stock ROM.
TIA.

This is something that has been happening with all builds of 5.0. I believe it was fixed with 5.0.1 or will be with 5.0.2?

It seems there is no such build !

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900V/ acording to Sammobile there is no Build 5.0.1 , is there ?
I've also had this problem using my S5 on straight talk's lte network, which piggybacks off of verizon. The only 5.0 rom that works for me is the international version, but it's not a very good rom otherwise. I'd really like to use MOAR but not being able to send sms is a pretty big problem.
I had the same problem with my Verizon Galaxy S5 in Albania.
I could not send SMS if the number started with +355 (355 is Albania country code)
and all incoming SMS had the country code so it was really frustrating.
After 2 weeks of searching for a solution i found it in androidcentral
can't post the outside link so here is the solution.
It is simple, go to phone dialer > Settings > Call > Assisted dialing
Inside assisted dialing where it say Reference country select your country.
than edit Country code by adding a + in front of the number there.
You are done just don't forget to turn Assisted dialing On.
Thanks
Thanks Man. You really saved my day! No more unsent messages because of this reference country.
