Hi I just read about this DSP manager thing and have a couple questions:
1) Does this work with Xperia X8?
2) Are there any other methods for having a louder sound on the X8's speaker?
My wife is really pissed with this phone's speaker level, she used to have a W580 and I modded it, so it was a really loud phone, and the X8 is falling behind the old one... only good thing is I might get the X8 and give her back the W580 LOL
thanks in advance!!!
PS: First post yay!!!

DSPManager works perfectly in J008 (in J009 has got some bugs).
If you want it to work properly, you need libaudioflinger.so and libaudio.so compatible with DSPManager
Maybe it will work also in froyobread after dx finishes the theme engine I guess dsp manager is next on list

port DSP manager in ROM gigger jeperela (the best sound)..
but if ROM 2.2, ROM colinux thebest sound cuz DSP manager ported from gigger jeperela
Absolutely true from dare-devil inside...this DSP manager is not working on 2.2 rom...only can run on some custom rom on 2.3 gingerbread..dont try to run it on 2.2...might ruin your speaker here..
Volume boost
Thanks for all your comments, I will try Volume Boost and report here how things go!!!
Edit: No change whatsoever on speaker volume. I guess she'll have to live with it...
I recently installed GingerDX V009 ROM to my GF's X8 and it includes DSP Manager and works like a charm.

Voodoo is a wonderful thing to i9000 users. But I wonder if i9000 sound quality is better than sony arc. I and my friend had a talk about this and he thinks his arc is better.
Any idea?

Well it wasn't that big of a deal really...
Does the Bravia engine really make a difference? It isn't placebo, is it? ...Just out of curiosity.
Well in optimus x2 doesnt seem placebo in my eyes , or the photos are fake. Dunno. The second one seems to be more clear.

Funny...I tried it and it might actually work.
Hello guys.
I have a Galaxy Nexus along my TF300T and decided today to test a low latency audio module released a while ago on xda and was astonished with the result. 20ms on Caustic.
That instantly made me think, can someone use the same approach with TF300? That would be just awesome. Not only for music producing, but it can improve the audio quality and echo cancellation with GTalk, Skype and other VoIP apps.
These are the reference topics:

I would be willing to also help developing given proper instructions, and beta testing it.
I'm also sure that more people would be interested on the results regarding this, specially because I think we would only need to be rooted.
If I posted on the wrong section, I'm sorry, but for me, this can be only fitted in Development.

I second this also. This would be great to have.
Since I too own both devices and voodoo sound for Nexus is low in supercurio's list of things to do, Ive put this on my list of things to do today.
Hi guys
I have checked the problem with several apps and mods and still I cannot get any close to music effect achieved on my old Desire HD. Bass was so deep and clear, nothing to compare with Nexus 4.
So no XLouder mod would get close to SRS, no Beats-like mod or whatsoever.
Is there a way to get a Desire HD-like SRS effect? As far as I know, SRS on Desire HD was software not hardware based. I have read that on Xperia phones it is achivable.

It was a mix. You can not expect to get the same thing from 2 different OEMs that use different parts and different software.
